DJI Transmission Combo
Transmit high-definition video over 3 miles (line-of-sight) from your DJI drone or gimbal gear for monitoring with this Transmission Combo from DJI. The combo includes a transmitter and a monitor/receiver that transmits up to 1080p60 video using the highly efficient O3 Pro transmission technology via Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies. Optional high-gain antennas can be purchased to boost the signal quality and distance. The high-bright monitor features 1500 cd/m² brightness, 1920 x 1200 resolution, and a touchscreen display. The system supports automatic frequency hopping to find the strongest signal, and it operates using AES 256 encryption to protect your video from prying eyes. It allows you to transmit simultaneously to two receivers in control mode, and in broadcast mode, it can transmit to unlimited receivers with a slightly lower performance. Control mode allows you to control your gimbal or camera using the touchscreen or via physical gestures using the built-in gyroscopic sensor. The units can be powered via an optional L-series battery or its DC power input, or they can be powered directly from a DJI gimbal such as the Ronin 2 or RS 3. The monitor provides multiple imaging tools such as frame guide, waveform, and false color, and it allows you to import custom LUTs.

Used this for a 4 day shoot around water, and through crazy amounts of concrete. Not a single dropped frame, and the visibility of the screen, and battery life were to die for. We're transitioning our production company to these away from Teradek from now on.

Having used this for the last 8 months or so. The transmitter with Tilta v-lock plates works well for a neat connection to the camera, if not a little bulky (3 times as deep as Vaxis 3000 v-lock tx offering and as many times as heavy). Not a surprise for the price difference.Monitor with tilta handles and v-lock plate (though this could do with a d-tap out) works well. Neat, lightweight unit even with v-lock batt on. Sunshade doesn't fold down when attached to monitor and a bit of a faff to put on. No camera strap provided, no straightforward way of adding one.Range and quality of image is consistently good. Often I have a director with me using the 7" monitor but then require several feeds back to larger client monitors. This is not possible without purchasing other DJI monitors with expansion units, just so you can loop out into a larger monitor. This doesn't feel like a very professional set-up.DJI have told me they get asked all the time for the stand-alone RX but have no plans for a stand-alone receiver at present.

Its an amazing product gives me the range needed better range than Teradek 10K good value for money
I come from the world of Teradek and I gotta say this DJI system is awesome. It's seamless... receiver turns on... transmitter turns on... and it's connected. And I've never lost transmission for all my shoots which includes long range down rivers in Alaska. The price is low which gives me the freedom to just hand to a client and I'm not worried if they beat it up. Picture is crystal clear. I added some tilta wooden handles and it's slick. Hoping DJI comes out with a dedicated Rx though - this system is currently limited to only the Tx and the 7" video Rx.
I'm very disappointed. I am visually impaired and own a Sony A7 IV and a DJI RS3 Pro. I bought this system with the DJI handgrip combo so I can see my camera screen and remote control it on the gimbal and tripod. DJI claims this is compatible with the Sony A7 line. It is not. Video transmission works fine and seems reliable. However, the only remote control that works is the on-screen virtual menu button and arrows (you have to dig through the menus to even turn it on), and the Sony must have HDMI info display turned on, rendering an external recorder useless. There is no way to even start and stop recording with this monitor or the hand grips. There is no way to even start and stop recording with this monitor or the hand grips. You cannot use the gyroscope / force motion and the joystick at the same time; you must turn one off and the other on, so making micro adjustments to the gyro position using the joystick is impossible. The only functions that work on the hand grips with this system, even with the RS3 Pro, are the joystick and the double-click the left or right index finger button to re-center the gimbal. No other gimbal functions are available. The focus wheel kept losing its setting in the menu. I couldn't get that focus wheel to do anything, and I so wanted to use it with the focus motor to zoom my lens. None of the other buttons on the hand grips work at all. This is supposed to be a turnkey ecosystem, but DJI products don't even work well together. Even with the RS3 Pro directly connected to the transmitter via the USB-C to proprietary cable (you have to dig for that info too), it does not control a single function on the RS3 Pro besides the gimbal position. For $3200 ($2500 + $700 for the hand grips) + tax, I expected something better than the RavenEye that came with my gimbal kit, which actually does more with an iPad than this system! I think I'm going to go for the SmallRig Wireless handle + the Sony remote app with an iPad. Honestly, what good is the ability to supposedly control your camera from 6 km away, when you can't even control it properly from 1 meter away?
Transitioning into the video world from the audio world, the DJI Transmission takes me to a pro level on many levels
This is an exceptional kit that just works with minimal set up. Very high quality build, with professional cables.
Great peace of equipment. Great range and really haven't had any problem on the dozen or so jobs I've done. I've been using NP batteries which haven't been lasting too long. I find that 2x DJI batteries keep the transmitter alive for a full day pretty much. I'd recommend the gold mount bat to keep the transmitter and monitor powered all day.CON: No AC power for anything. The limo cable is only designed to plug into the DJI Ronin. Really dislike the lack of AC. Will likely end up getting a dummy battery to get around it.
