They must vary from pair to pair. I have other pairs that fit just right and but the new ones I purchased are much bigger and loose. Not what I was hoping for but too expensive to buy more and too late to exchange.

I love the Dickies scrubs (pants) that I just got recently. Best brand out there if you were to ask me. Great fit, perfect material, great pockets that are useful for anything nursing related. Plan to buy plenty more from this brand in the future. -Shawn Fassett
I bought these Balance scrub pants along with the matching top after buying some cheaper sets on Amazon. The small difference in price is easily offset by the quality of workmanship, style and comfort of this Dickies product. Full marks for value.
The material is nice, but pretty hot. The stitching seems secure and the length is nice. But we need to talk about practicality. These are MEN'S pants, not unisex. Most men carry stuff around and expect a practical cut for that. Why would the front pockets be so short that things fall out when you sit down (my keys and chap stick are constantly squirting out)? Why would the taper and cargo pockets be so form-fitting that you can't ACTUALLY put anything in the cargo and still be comfortable? I chose Dickies (and their price tag) because they're the "working man's clothes" and I'm pretty disappointed. I won't buy these again, for sure, and less inclined to expect future lines will be any better. The trust has been shaken.
I like them except for the waistband. I will caution that the elastic is not nearly as stretchy as other brands I have. I'd say if you're borderline on the sizing, choose the larger because these just aren't very forgiving.
I reviewed tops the same way, I got the same bottoms on large and regular fit in the essentials line and it didnt fit the way as essentials one

best pair of Dickies I've ever owned. I hate ordering online because I don't get to feel the material or try things on for fitting but I was definitely surprised that these didn't feel like cardboard they are actually soft material and washb and dry pretty good so far. I would recommended
