As I suspected this book is a hit with my grandchildren. They love having it read to them, even the young readers, purely and simply so that they can turn the page. I love the simple engagement between the creature, the children and the reader.A favourite that is picked up every time a child between 3 and 7 comes to visit.

Our daughter (4) got this book for Christmas and has read it repeatedly since. She thinks it's hilarious to disobey what the book says and the ending made her laugh out loud too. Because it's easy to understand, she has happily 'read' it to herself many times when her parents haven't had the time too. I'd definitely recommend this book for young children.
I purchased this book for my granddaughter and she loved it. We have had many laughs with it.
My children aged 9 and 6 laughed hysterically throughout this book. We all loved it, including Dad. Totally recommend it, especially if the person reading out loud uses amazing expression to make the book come to life.
Interactive: children get to make a decision and the obvious one it to not obey, so they get to be "naughty" along with the reader. The expressions on the character are delightfully funny and reading this book is an hilarious experience that both children and adults want to share again and again.
This is another amazing book in the Do Not Open This Book series. A must have for the collection!
This little monster has some attitude and my 4 year old loves everything about this book. It's her favourite book for bed time each night. My 2 YO isn't interested in it at all though. Definitely aimed at slightly older kids.
We love reading this book!All the kids yelling out in anticipation "PLEEEEEASE dont turn the page" makes for lots of giggles as we see what is on the next page. They laugh because on one of the illustrations they can see green snot. On other pages, mummy reads the words in disbelief and makes sound effects which they think is the best thing ever.I also read it to the kids daycare centre classes and they were equally enthralled.It is books like this that help kids develop a love of reading!
