Dogtra YS600 Bark Control Collar

I’ve left a couple of reviews, this will be the third review. I can’t rate Edog Australia. Amazing customer service via email and over the phone. The YS600 collar is fantastic. It worked in 48hrs. I can’t believe how quickly it worked. I’ve tried so many things and thought my dog would never stop barking at everything and anything that moved. Best thing I’ve ever purchased and worth every cent. The company went above and beyond to make sure I was helped with the best product and how to use it etc. Highly recommend this collar and company to deal with.

Collar for my 2yo Macedonian sheepdog.

The Dogtra YS600 on first appearance looked a bit basic for the money. But that was not the case, its simple to charge, just remove rubber plug and insert charger. This only takes about 2 hours max. The setting dial is self explanatory, 1 low, 10 very harsh.I have tried various different methods to reduce the amount my dog barks and what it barks at. I did have some success but it was becoming a problem with my neighbors. He is big, stubborn and has a loud bark.I first tried the collar on when I had time to observe the effects to see if the setting was to low etc. So I adjusted the dial to number 1 (as recommended) and fitted the collar. I waited for someone to walk past my 6ft garden fence and as usual he ran to the fence line and started to bark. I use the collar when walking also with no problems, he used to bark at some dogs when walking, not any more, It's tough, durable and works.I had serious doubts before I purchased this collar, for obvious reasons , it's a shock collar. But I have observed a positive change in his behaviour and would recommend this collar for stubborn hounds. I haven't changed the setting from number 1.

Doesn't work for my dog.

I have a Jack Russell. He barks at everything. If he hears a dog bark up the street he'll bark, if a leaf moves he barks and its not just a few it's a full constant bark. I bought the collar for stubborn dogs. It's on 10 and doing absolutely nothing to curb his barking. I've got tosay I am disappointed as I'm getting warnings now from the council for his barking and nothing seems to help. Citronella spray he worked out if he runs and barks it doesn't get him, this it the 3rd bark collar I've bought and the 3rd that has failed. I'm disappointed.

Durable

Out of the box great collar works great! A couple charges garbage. I purchased two of these for 3 year old labs that love to bark late evening at neighbors moving around. With that in mind figured did not need something 24/7. Nope you will play the guessing game does it work or not. I guess will spend another $200 for them so don’t bark all the time. Save your money buy something else.

Gave my GSP anxiety

Brought this months ago and I finally have enough experience with it to write a proper review.Our GSP would bark very aggressively to anything that walked by our front yard. He sounded extremely scary and we even had complaints from neighbours. We tried everything and nothing worked so we thought after seeing all the good reviews that we would try the collar. Despite reading the instructions throughly and watching multiple YouTube videos the collar wouldn’t go off properly. It went off at random barks or goes off when he’s isn’t even barking! He was digging in the yard once and he started screaming because the collar shocked him…so our dog never realised it was the barking that caused it. I was so stressed about what our neighbours must think.He still barks constantly and hasn’t learnt the barking is what sets the collar off.. it’s pretty much given him anxiety instead as he now reacts to way more noises outside.I don’t recommend this collar at all we set on this one as it recommends it for his breed and the fact he’s a very persistent barker however it’s done more damage than it’s helped. Were still left extremely stressed and now down a lot of money.

Is it a dud? Or is it user error?

I bought a Dogtra collar since I have loved my other e collars as they were very high quality, and the cheaper Amazon collars didn't last. At least I saw some results with those cheap collars. I see no results with the Dogtra collar.I have turned it up to 8 and it doesn't phase him. I did the testing as the instructions advised and it appears the collar is working. I have checked for proper fitting. Maybe he is just very tolerant to this collar. I hesitate to turn it up all the way just to get him to stop barking.

Perfect Trainer after a long search

This is very flexible in settings.Very comfortable for doggy. (see Toby in comfort with collar)I use the vibration and sound commands only. I adjust for proper need and comfort for my old Bernese Mtn Dog who is older and has more opinions. I'm getting him to know the difference between talking to me and barking incessantly. My single voice command with a slight vibration is perfect. His repetitive barking issue has extinguished, mostly. High anxiety times I get his attention with the tone. Vibration and tone are adjustable. Easy to use and comfortable hand remote trigger... with lanyard, thanks. Remote has auto and manual power off for battery savings. Quit Barking for good

This collar is for big dogs for sure. I have an 85 pound lab and other collars were just a necklace around his neck. This collar gave a shock and he turned his head to see what was there. A few times and even when he is not wearing it now problem solved. I know it seems cruel but big dogs are smart and they get it. Remember it is training and everyone is happy in the end. Simple to use, there is a T is for testing dial up the charge and P not sure what that is for but this collar is a life send. I started at 5 too much and we went to 4 and it is perfect. Make sure you use the adapter it comes with because it will not charge with other adapters. I lost the adapter, chewy replaced the product and so grateful for Chewy. Review of YS600

We got a complaint that our dog was excessively barking while we were at work. We have tried 5 different collars with no real results as he has annoyed us as well with his barking. The complaint forced us to search for another option. The Dogtra was recommended by a friend. In only a day, we saw a major difference. It is evident that his most current collar, the "best" one that we had tried, was ineffective. We just figured that we had a dog that was going to bark if there was a stimulus and there wasn't much more we could do. We even looked into the "de-barking" procedure out of frustration. Thankfully we found the Dogtra collar before we did anything so drastic. We can't thank you enough!
