Dohm Noise Machine, White

I suffer from tinnitus which is a low ringing noise in my ear that only annoys me at night when I'm trying to sleep. The white noise this well-made device generates cancels out that noise and enables me to have better quality sleep.Interesting to read some reviews saying it was a bit quiet, I found it quite loud and have it away from my bed. Overall I'm happy with the Dohm but wish I had a bit more control over the volume.

I purchased this product as it had a main electrical power point, rather than a battery operated one. It also had genuine authoritative recommendations and seemed to offer a successful and useful product.However, on opening and plugging in I expected it to have more than one sound. A fan blowing fromlow to high levels.The high cost of this unit with just that 'noise'. I found very disappointing not really adding extra sleep. I could only run it on the lowest sound as any louder it actually kept me awake.It also did not recommend on how long the unit can be run at one time or any extra helpful information for its use.My lack of sleep I had hoped would be resolved with this white noise product that sounds like my floor fan in the bedroom anyhow was not.I would ... MoreI purchased this product as it had a main electrical power point, rather than a battery operated one. You hear the wooshing sound at first, and notice it, but after a couple of weeks of getting used to it, you don't really hear it anymore.Very few drawbacks here. The only sensible one I can think of is that the machine can lower the temperature of the room every so slightly. This is usually quite welcome in the Spring/Summer. It isn't really a problem in the Winter, as I can simply set the machine going a bit before I get into bed, and thus any lowering of the temperature occurs whilst I am awake so I can respond to the slightly lowered temperature as I would at any other time.The service from Sleepstore in the relation to the product easily gets 5 stars.
