I’ve been eating pineapple a lot recently, either fresh pineapple I cut up myself (which is time consuming and can be a pain) or I usually grab the pre-made already cut pineapple which can get very EXPENSIVE!! Disappointed

Now just for I guess health reason, I've been eating a full jar of pineapples a day. They seem to soothe my stomach. However, because I've been getting outdated individual jars which I pay at a more expensive price than buying a box? I chose to go to the box where you get 4 smaller jar. For the cost of one larger jar and I've opened 2 of the 4 boxes that have ordered and these pineapples are hard like cabbage. It sounds and feels and almost taste like cabbage when I bite it. Very disappointed Dole

My favorite for cake recipes!

I make quite a few "doctored cake recipes" that begin with a cake mix and add additional ingredients to improve the flavor, texture, etc. of the final cake produced. These canned pineapple chunks are my FAVORITE for my Hummingbird cake. They're nice and sweet and are the perfect size chunks for mixing into the cake without it becoming too dense or liquidy. I like that they're canned in 100% juice as well, rather than syrup or liquid sweetened with additional sugar or fake sweeteners.A secret little tip: Once you enjoy the pineapple fruit, save the 100% juice in a jar in your fridge, or freeze it into ice cubes. Pineapple juice is wonderful in mimosas, or it's fabulous added to carnita meat, etc. It can also be used on apple slices to prevent them from browning! :)
