The champagne is for a wedding gift. After the bride and groom finish it, I'll take the empty bottle to an art store. The Dom Perignon label will be removed and the bottle will be slumped to make a memorable stove top spoon holder. (the label will be later reattached)Your company delivered the Dom Perignon on time and in a very protected package. Your billing system was easy to use and efficient. Thanks again!

You have heard of Dom, reader; and there is a reason. However, this is one of those rarities that deserves all the press, praise, and prestige it recieves.Total Wine associates will try and steer you towards a ‘Winery Direct’ bottle, because they have their marching orders, but, even if you do not listen to Me, listen to the thousand of references throughout history that have crowned it world-class.Is there a better Champagne in this world? Certainly, but there is a reason *this* is the flagbearer for sparkling wine. You cannot go wrong with Dom.

I bought this thinking it’d be special some way or another. However, I was wrong. This champagne, amongst others, taste exactly the same. Whtehter you buy Korbel California champagne or this $190 champagne, it all tastes the same. I was very disappointed. Okay if I’m spending $100+ on a bottle, it better taste different than the rest. This wasn’t the case. Don’t waste your $$$. Buy a simple, cheap California champagne and you’ll be drinking the same thing as if you were to buy this bottle.

I had had a hard time finding a bottle of Dom Perignon in Connecticut but finally contacted Total Wine. They sent me the newest release (2012) which I had not found anywhere else. It shipped very fast and came well packed. The cost for shipping was lower than I had seen elsewhere and the bottle was competitively priced. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Bought this magnum for my birthday party. Typical Dom with nice acidity and balance. Fresh and lemony on the nose, with some toasted nuts and brioche. We realized we didn't have enough so bought a regular sized bottle and found the magnum was actually better. There was more richness and depth of flavor to the champagne.
I've had plenty of Champagne but Dom Perginon is legendary and I wanted to give it a try for a special celebration. When I went to open the bottle the foil was stuck to the glass and it looked like the bottle had leaked at some point, but the cork had made a tight seal with no indication of drying out and no mold was present so I wasn't worried. My first impression with a freshly chilled bottle was "this is sour." I wouldn't have picked the bottle out of a lineup of other $20 bottles of brut. As the bottle and glass started to warm up a bit there were more layers of citrus and lees that you'd expect out of a typical bottle of brut, but it was nothing out of the ordinary and still quite sour. After this experience I'd never buy Dom Perignon again and stick to ... MoreI've had plenty of Champagne but Dom Perginon is legendary and I wanted to give it a try for a special celebration. It's a sour wine.
I am certainly not a champagne expert but I have tried many in my day. There wasn't anything particularly memorable and remarkable about this. Don't get me wrong it was a lovely dry champagne with lots of bubles and fruity flavour. I just don't know if it's worth the price. I do however think that it's worth anyone trying once to see if it pleases them and/or giving as a gift. It would make a lovely gift that would really bring a smile to anyones face.
The bottles were shipped perfectly secure!!The company also included two little gifts for me that are wonderful and I appreciate!!!!!!Even though they were shipped from California to Washington, DC during the holiday rush, they arrived right on time, as promised, for my gift recipients.I could not be more pleased!!!!!I also DID NOT purchase a bottle for myself !!! Drat!!!I will purchase one for myself to enjoy the EXPERIENCE!!!WOWOWOW!!!!
I bought a nice bottle of champagne for some friends in the Austin. Tx area as a wedding gift. Living in southern California, Total Wine made the purchasing process very easy, letting me schedule the pickup for working folks! Thanks again for letting me gift a remembrance of their event as well as making the transaction easy!
This is another Moet product that is way overpriced and available in supermarkets and even at Fast Food Drive Thrus like Miami Subs in Florida. Why oh why with all this great selection of older vintage champagnes would anyone spend $250 no 10% discount on a commercially produced mediocre bubbly. Makes no sense
A stunning Dom Pérignon has recently been unleashed to wow the world. After the powerful 2002 and the abrasive 2003, 2004 is a backward and honed Dom Pérignon of understated intensity, charged with dramatic tension of high-voltage electricity. At almost a decade of age, it seems to transcend the very passage of time itself, projecting an aura of impossibly youthful grapefruit and immaculately defined lemongrass, with a lightning bolt of pure lemon shattering its brittle core of pristine mineral chalk. A champagne of supreme purity and tightly coiled focus, unravelling to reveal fresh pear and anise. One of the truly great and longlived Doms of the modern era. 98 points. Drink to 2024.
