Dove Purely Pampering Beauty Bar Shea Butter

It could be below zero out and even though you freezing cold at first, 5 minutes in to shoveling snow and your sweating more than you would on a rainy day in the summer. And there’s something about that sweat; it’s just different… well that’s where a really good anti-perspirant/deodorant. Enter Dove advanced care. Delicious and lasting scent, smooth glide and a formula that actually balances out the weird shades of flesh tones one has in their pits. I don’t usually wear anti-perspirant BUR when I do: it’s this stuff right here!

I love that it smells so good. It’s almost like perfume itself ! I normally use stick antiperspirants and really enjoyed using this stick the last couple weeks. I love the fresh rosy scent, it’s not overpowering and the scent doesn’t linger all day. I really like that I’m not leaving any white underarm marks on clothing and that it doesn’t leave residue on my underarms. I recently had an entire underarm journey that took me from trying to find one that would WORK effectively, and still having BO, to getting insane swelling in my armit that hurt just by putting ON deodorant to a rash that was SO BAD that I had to completely QUIT deodorant. I did so,and, after obtaining from any ointments under there except soap / apple cider vinegar and coconut oil, I felt all better in the pits. I had been advised by my friends who had told me Dove was their go-to antiperspirant. So after working SO HARD to regain my armpit health, I didn't want to take a chance on ruining them again with anything "harsh", so I bought myself this brand and formula by Dove. And, Big big happy result-NO irritation, no rash, No swelling..and zero BO, best if all, lol

What I love about the Beauty Bar over Dove’s shower creams is that the lather is almost instant after swiping, whereas their liquid shower creams take a bit longer to lather (so lazy). I find the lather on beauty soap superior in quantity and thicker in consistency. My shower times have reduced lol. As someone who does not use a shower flannel/fluffle because I can never really feel confident on keeping it clean. I enjoy the physical application of using a bar because you can physically run it over all of your skin as opposed to shower creams where you try and stretch your lathered amount. This has really contributed to a more enjoyable experience! Again, as someone who literally dries off, puts on clothes and focuses on skin care of the face. I love that my skin doesn’t feel taught or dry! My Eczema is not aggravated or activated whatsoever! My inner elbows and back of legs remain skin textured and hydrated. My broken skin doesn’t sting nor look more red. my upper arms have definitely improved somewhat in reducing the rough texture and just maintaining a good level of moisture there. In general when I run my hands over any part of my body, my skin feels smooth and not scaley, particularly my legs! My skin looks like SKIN, clean, moisturised and hydrated.

When choosing a deodorant/antiperspirant this is usually my go to. I love the scent and it works well. I tend to get chemical burns from different deodorants and this is one that doesn’t bother my underarms much. I will say at times if I use this deodorant for too long my underarms will get slightly irritated. Meaning I have to switch to something else for a short period. That’s the only qualm I have with this product though which is why I gave a 4/5 stars. Deodorant has been getting quite expensive but this one is one of the cheaper on the shelf and still works. Im not one to look at ingredients when it comes to deodorant but the packaging does have some claims that might appeal to some.

Due to the moisturizing nature - the bars go more quickly than other brands - to help preserve them a bit longer - I keep them out of the “line of fire” of the shower nozzle. I suggest you do that, as well.As for scent - it’s a mild scent. Shea butter, mostly, which I find totally suits my Fall/Winter vanilla forward post-shower fragrances. Even if you’re not using a vanilla gourmand fragrance - honestly it smells like shea butter soap - so you’ll ultimately just smell clean.I usually use Dove bars for sensitive skin or the gentle exfoliating which pair so beautifully with the clean smelling Philosophy Pure Grace fragrances!
