Dr Bronner'sDr. Bronner’s is synonymous with Old World quality and time-honored simplicity, which can be traced back to the family’s German-Jewish soapmaking tradition. Born in 1908 to a Jewish family that had been making soap since 1858, Emanuel Bronner was the third generation certified as a master soapmaker under the guild system of the time. In 1929, he brought his formulas for high-quality liquid and bar soaps to America, starting Dr. Bronner’s in its current form in 1948.

I have been using this soap for a few months now for my eczema. Every time I have an eczema flare, I use this soap and it instantly stops the pain, itching, and irritation. It is a very great exfoliate. Ever since I have been using this soap, I don’t have flaky skin, significantly less irritated. It effectively cleans your skin while not drying it out. Its loosens up dead skin cells. It also evened out my hyperpigmentation from my eczema rashes. I LOVE THIS SOAP. BTW, I used the unscented baby soap. 10/10 !!!!

I have bought, valued, and used this product for many years. However, upon receiving my most recent purchase in 2022, I noticed the cap on the bottle wasn't the same.It is noticeable thinner material, hence more fragile, even "flimsy". Sure enough, when I dropped the bottle in the shower, the cap fractured and spewed soap all over. (good thing it was in the shower) Fortunately, I had another bottle with the old-style cap that I could move to this one and continue using. However, I must reduce my rating from a 5 down to a 4 because of this cap change.

I've seen so many people rave about how great this castile soap is for personal care so I had to give it a try. Many of the soaps on the market are full of harsh chemicals such as lard, fat, and other animal-sourced material which can be bad for our skin/body. All of the ingredients in Dr. Bronner's castile soap are certified organic, non-GMO, no foaming agent, no preservatives, and has also been sourced using Fair Trade principles. Some of the natural ingredients are coconut oil, olive oil, hemp oil, jojoba oil, and palm kernel oil. This soap is multi-purpose and can be used for house cleaning, doing laundry, cleaning your pet, washing your hair, facial skin cleaner, and a body wash; the usage is endless. This product is heavily concentrated and it's recommendation is to dilute before usage. You can make your own personal care products using this castile soap as a base and add in your own additional ingredients to make shampoo, detergent, body wash etc. I can say it works amazing as a body wash; it is gentle without leaving my skin feeling dry. This is my first time using castile soap and my skin is super sensitive so to avoid any bad reactions I chose unscented but I am happy with this soap and it will definitely be a staple product for me; I look forward to trying others as they comes in a variety of scents. Even with it's richness in natural oils it lathers pretty good. The consistency is watery not thick and the smell is none at all. It is expensive compared to regular soap but its worth every dollar; comes in both soap and liquid form. I highly recommend this product.

Outstanding product !!! Cannot say how happy we were to find Dr Bonners products a couple of years ago. We live in the country and have a septic system, so products that go into your septic have to be septic approved. This product also saves you a ton of money compared to the commercial products out there. We wash a lot of cloths, 2 to 3 full loads a week. A gallon usually last us nearly a year because it takes only a small amount to do a full load!! Big savings over the other brands. Highly recommend the Dr Bonner products.
I have lots of allergies due to all the chemicals we’ve all been subjected to for so many years. When I ran out of my Dr Bronner’s I tried to go the cheaper route with another liquid soap. After a few days, my hands were itching like crazy. I should have known better. I have to use organic shampoo and toothpaste (SLS free). I immediately stopped using the other product and ordered my old standby. I’m now Dr Bronner’s for LIFE baby!
My son has super sensitive skin due to his eczema and I’ve been reading about endocrine disrupters in many products including laundry detergents/ softeners. I thought I had been making good choices with the commercial brands I chose but now I feel confident. This works really well and I don’t need to add fabric softeners either which is a big thing for me. It says unscented but there is still alittle scent, I do t think it’s over powering or unpleasant. The package says to use 1/4- 1/3 cup in your laundry but I have found that even with my big loads I barely need 1/4. My only negative thing to say is to because when you add it into your laundry because every once in awhile, it will leave like a grease mark on some items. so I will just wash that item again with some ... Dilute and use for EVERYTHING!Gentler than earlier recipes so can use on face/sensitive skin however rinse before too long. When there’s ANYTHING that requires maximum cleaning ability I instinctly go to Dr. Bronner's. (I wash dishes with Dawn.)Oh and I use Baby Unscented these days because of research showing how various essential oils can mess up endocrine structures/testosterone etc.It used to be only the punx would have Dr. Bronner's (children of the hippies) however with more and more "punk" out there; so to...The Dr. Bronner's!❤
LOVE this soap! Our entire family has been using it for 4 years—we love that we can all use the same quality product! Great for cleansing. Zero irritation from dyes, fragrances, or unnecessary ingredients. Sometimes I add a little organic essential oil to make a custom aromatherapy scent. Doesn’t leave a residue or buildup on our bathroom fixtures, either. Washes clean! EXACTLY everything I want (and don’t want!) in a hand and body soap!!
Super ethical product -- vegan, organic, non-toxic, biodegradable, and even fair trade I think! It works really well to clean things, and it's gentle enough to use with pets. Your one soap for everything, from handwashing to showering to laundry to pet care and more! Fantastic product, other than I wish they left religious stuff off the product. My parents won't let me buy more because they don't believe in sharing what they consider false beliefs. I think companies should try to be neutral about that stuff to allow more people to feel comfortable using this product. Other than that, it's awesome!
I started making my own foaming soap when I was told my baby had eczema. This works beautifully for everything we clean in our home. I can always count on it to clean thoroughly and without damaging anything delicate. I also dilute it and use it to clean my Great Pyrenees and no one can believe how well it works on her..I switched to this the moment I found out she had skin issues. I am still amazed at how powerful it cleans yet how gentle it is. Also, I've tried other brands, but nothing comes close to this in consistency, cleaning power, or gentleness. I love it and trust this with my family.
