I would apply the gel first, allow to absorb and use this sleep mask as the final step in my nightly routine. My focus was mostly on my crepy neck although I did apply this to both my face and neck. The gel is a pale pink colour. Although it's called a mask, there is no need to remove it at all - it simply absorbs into your skin as you sleep so you wake up with hydrated skin in the morning. PERFORMANCE: I really like the feel of this product on my skin. It absorbs completely without any greasy residue and hydrates beautifully. You can really notice the difference before and after use - it does have a smoothing, plumping effect while also being gentle. All in all, I've been really happy with this product - my skin dryness has disappeared and I really think my skin does have a more youthful appearance. Wonderful!

I have been using Dr. LeWinn's Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Overnight Sleep Mask for about 3 weeks. It is not the type of mask that you put on then remove, it is actually 2 serums combined together. The bottle has a dual-chamber delivery system that pumps out the two serums in the bottle - Collagen Plumping Serum and Peptide Energising Serum. I use it 3 times a week before I go to bed, one pump for my face and one pump for the neck, massage it to my skin. I tried a few times for the pump to give me an even amount for both serums at first. I think some ... MoreI have been using Dr. LeWinn's Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Overnight Sleep Mask for about 3 weeks. It is not the type of mask that you put on then remove, it is actually 2 serums combined together. The bottle has a dual-chamber delivery system that pumps out the two serums in the bottle - Collagen Plumping Serum and Peptide Energising Serum. I use it 3 times a week before I go to bed, one pump for my face and one pump for the neck, massage it to my skin. I tried a few times for the pump to give me an even amount for both serums at first. I think some fine lines are a lot less visible because my skin is very hydrated. It has a lovely smooth texture and is applied easily. It initially took 4 pumps to get both sides to work and I pump into my palm rather than on fingertips. I find blending and distributing to be easier that way. I use one pump each time and find that is plenty of product. I have been using this product in conjunction with the Ultra R4 Collagen Surge Plumping Gel. My face, neck, decolletage and surprisingly the back of my hands are so much more youthful. On first impressions, I was somewhat confused about the dual chamber system on product they have going on there. Is there actual science behind this layout or is it just a bit of a gimmick? Is it like hair dye when certain chemicals have to be separated until they are ready for use to be activated? I couldn’t help but roll my eyes a little. Is it like hair dye when certain chemicals have to be separated until they are ready for use to be activated? I couldn’t help but roll my eyes a little. The suggested use was 1-2 pumps 2-3 times per week as the last step of your skin care routine which would mean on top on your standard moisturiser and eye cream. I found 1 pump plenty for my face neck and décolletage. I’m 31 and my skin can still be quite oily so this was more than enough. As I already use a hydrating gel based night moisturiser, I felt that the added hydration to be too heavy for my skin type and to put it bluntly, unnecessary. Don’t expect to have the same type of expectation as you would with a standard mask as you use a lot less product as you are only left with a very thin film over your skin. Almost like a cocoon. The most annoying thing I found with this mask is that it is incredibly sticky. I literally had to peel my cheek off my silk pillowcase when turning over during the night. I would suggest using this several hours before bed time to reduce the stickiness. In the mornings, I couldn’t really see much of a difference. I did not get any breakouts though! I can see how a sleeping mask might be beneficial to dry and dehydrated skin types, but if you’re using skin specific serums moisturisers and/or oils, it really is not warranted. I would like to disclose that I am also a beauty therapist so may be extra critical of hyped up products.
