These were supposed to be my first pair of docs. I was first gifted these boots for xmas from my boyfriend's parents. They ordered them in my usual size (6 W). The sizing of these boots is incredibly strange- the overall fit is alright except for the seam that goes right over the top of your foot at the bottom of the tongue. It is so tight it physically hurt to walk in them. So after an incredibly arduous discourse with the return office, in which they dodged my emails for weeks and failed to give me virtually any helpful information, I ordered a new pair in the size up (because this style does not offer half sizes). I love these boots. So comfy!I was worried as people have said that drs take a long time to break in but the soft leather of these has been awesome.They look great with everything because of the mono colour. Jeans? DRs. Leggings? DRs. Skirts/Dresses? DRs.I haven’t taken them off!

I’ve been wanting a pair of docs for years and I’m so happy I finally went for it! I love how soft the leather is on these - despite my fears of my feet being in absolute agony for the first few weeks, they’ve been pretty comfortable from the start. I can tell they’ll need some stretching, but they’re definitely wearable. I went for the mono design, rather than the classic yellow stitching, and I’m really pleased I did. I like the grey font on the tag at the back of the boot. I know I’ll have these for years and will wear them with absolutely everything!

These boots are gorgeous, and I could not wait to gift them to my partner, but the first pair came very poorly finished. Often some resistance from the company to replace the item, we did manage to exchange for a new pair that still had some flaws. Something related to the sole manufacturing process is staining the pink with a dark green substance that does not come off with any product. I used a dremel sander to remove the substance but that did mark the sole.

Classic Docs always made my feet look a bit clownish, but these have a somewhat daintier profile; they fit closer at the ankle and the toe box is more of an almond shape. On top of looking great, they accommodate my messed-up feet surprisingly well. My feet are pretty narrow at the heels but wide toward the front due to bunions, which makes it difficult to find shoes that fit comfortably. These boots are relatively narrow at the heel while leaving just enough room for my bunions in the toe box.While some reviewers mention that these are comfortable right out of the box, that wasn't my experience. I am really disappointed in these. They felt snug but supportive when I first put them on, although I could feel my heel hitting in the back. Thought this would soften out, so I kept them and wore them out. It did NOT soften out- wore them to walk my baby to nursery and around the park, they completely shredded the back of my feet - biggest blisters I ever had, took 2 weeks to heal. Couldn't wear ANY shoes for 3 days after!In summary: go to a store and try them on. If they feel firm at the heel, it will shred your feet. Apparently you can soften them, but for £145 I don't want to have to perform extensive treatment on my shoes so they don't destroy my feet!
I bought this for my sister as a gift. It perfectly fits her and she absolutely loves the design! Usually all her shoes are in black and I’m glad I saw this Mono Black which I thought she would like and she definitely did! The leather texture was soft and she loved how bouncy the soles are but not as bouncy as her first DMs were. Still, she adores my gift so much! I’m super satisfied with the purchase!
Having wanted a pair of DMs for years, I treated myself.They arrived quickly and I spent a few days wearing them in.Unfortunately, with great regret, I decide to send them back as they are just not a wide enough fit for me. I am really a 39.5 so got a size 40. Both sizes ware plenty long enough but not wide. Isn't it time that Doctor Marten's did wide fit shoes and boots.
Been looking high and low for the perfect pair of combat inspired boots. Bought and returned many pairs over the last two winters. Love Docs comfort but felt a little self-conscious in all of the yellow stitching which makes them instantly recognized as Docs. I guess I feel a bit too old even though at 55 I used to wear these in college constantly so am I really too old? No, but I just love the mono look of these in all black. Feels like I can dress them up or down—-wear with a skirt or jeans and I get compliments and it’s funny because everyone wants to know what brand they are then they all say they want to get them too. Love these boots! Fit true to size and absolutely need no breaking in period.
These boots are soft, took zero break-in time, and go with everything. I've never liked the yellow laces on traditional docs, so the black on black was perfect for me. I wear a size 9 usually and bought the 8 in these after reading reviews and they fit great. Would not be able to wear with very thick socks though. I think 9 would have been too big.
