These boots are beautiful. Quality, stunning colours, really well designed and made. They are absolutely delicious looking. However, I bought them for my partner whoās a perfect size 5 and although the length and width is perfect (even with the fur lining), the stitching across the tongue on the top of the foot is so tight it caused pain. My mother also a perfect size 5 also had to immediately remove the boot from her foot. There is no way to stretch this part of the boot and a larger size would be too big in other areas. My sister and I have more flat feet, and as a size 6.5 can get into this boot but when coming out have a line across the top of the foot where the stitching is. First time buying DM boots and I absolutely love them! Unbelievably comfortable from the first time putting them on; the faux fur lining runs the full length of the inside and is just dreamy - I need gloves with this lining!Worth every single penny.I'm a complete convert - time to make space in my wardrobe for more DMs!!

I couldnāt work out which size to go for as Iām usually between a 4 and a 5. I read loads of advice saying to go for the smaller size but having done that before with a previous pair of docs and never feeling 100% comfortable in them I didnāt want to end up in the same situation. So I bought 2 pairs because I couldnāt try on in store (thanks COVID) because I knew Iād always wonder should I have got the other size. Turns out the larger size was the perfect fit and albeit I know they will stretch and ease a bit, I definitely made the right choice with the 5!I have the most sensitive feet and always end up getting blisters and sore feet from every type of shoe I wear but these havenāt given me any pain whatsoever. The fur lined ones appealed to me, and although I'm normally a 5.5/6 in other shoes, going from reviews I decided to go for the the 6. These are a perfect fit! I wouldn't be able to put thick socks on with them, but I wouldn't need to anyway. I wore them for a week around the house, as they are a bit stiff, particularly around the top, and today i ventured out in them for a short walk. They are so comfortable! I'm really pleased i chose these ones, and will be wearing them most of the time now, I love them! I bought the same boots a year ago in size 46 because I believed the tips I found online that it has to be snug at first and stuff like that. I normally wear size 47 so it was plain stupid :) Well, I had to buy another pair in size 47 because was way too uncomfortable, they hurt the top of my feet real bad where to toebox meets the tongue of the shoe (but maybe it's just my feet). So my recommendation is to go with whatever size is comfortable from the beginning. In case it's necessary you can buy more thick insoles (made by Martens) that make a perfect fit and I definitely recommend buying the Martens 'double padded' socks. Loved these boots! gutted to have to send them back BUT the left boot was so tight just below the tongue across the top of my foot it felt like it was cutting off the circulation . I would never have been able to wear them to break them in ! If you have VERY narrow feet you may get away with it . The boots are lovely but not sure why one boot is soooooo tight!?
As much as I love DMs, the pair I received didnāt meet quality control. The lace panel on one of them was stitched at an angle. They have been returned and Iām currently waiting for a new pair.I didnāt even try them on, no point. I am not going to add the photo of them, little point as usually DMs are great and this was probably an unusual slip up at their end. They have been good so far in addressing the issue.
Absolutely gutted.Bought these boots as a gift for my wife. We own a pub and to say its been a difficult year is a complete understatement. She had previously had black lenores that had lasted for six years. I wanted to invest in another pair of dr Martens knowing that they would last. However less than eight weeks after receiving them we have notice that the sole has split at the back by the heel.I highly doubt they will last this winter let alone six. Extremely disappointed. The wife still loves them but the craftsmanship is incredibly poor. would post picture if that was an option.
I have not taken these boots off since I received them! I absolutely love them, they are so comfortable and warm. There was absolutely no rubbing like you get with most shoes, just pure comfort from day one! The fit is absolutely spot on (I do have narrow feet but I feel like the lining adds some extra layering). The fur lining is so soft and warm, which is perfect for someone like me who always has cold feet. I no longer have to wear 4 pairs of socks! These are my new favourite boots and will definitely keep you comfortable, warm and stylish throughout winter! A must!
