I have been wearing 1460’s for years and lost track of how many pairs I have owned. I ordered these as they seemed like they could be comfortable and more robust than normal 1460’s, they are so comfortable!I have just walked four miles in new boots without any sore bits or blisters.Only downside is the tongue is rubbing against the boot and causing that annoying new squeak for now but I’m guessing this will stop once they get more worn in.Don’t look like safety boots, not really noticeably different to normal 1460’s really, so great for everyday wear.

My mom has been trying to get me to get a pair of docs for yearrrrs so I finally caved. I started working at Starbucks and I serve at a restaurant so I said why not. I was wearing just Nike shoes and my feet, legs and back were hurting so I knew it was time for a change/investment for better shoes. I’ve had them for about a month now and they’re STILL squeaking every time I step. You don’t really notice the sound through the hustle and bustle of everything but you definitely hear it while walking when it quiets down. I tried olive oil but it only helps for about 5 minutes. I guess it needs more wear for the squeaking to subside but it’s quite annoying. Hardwearing, extremely comfortable, supreme quality - I honestly cannot recommend them enough, and I shall be purchasing Dr Martens exclusively henceforth.After almost 4 months of taking a beating, they show absolutely zero sign of becoming worn - they still look pristine (although I do care for them well), but this is most noticeable on the sole. By now, every single pair of boots I've owned prior would be showing signs of wearing down on the heel. These Dr. Martens still look as though they just came out of the factory. I will admit- a good part of the reason I got Docs is because of the way they look. They’re undeniably classic. I mostly got them for ankle support, though, and they did not disappoint. My very favorite pair of combat boots for that reason, plus they look awesome!My only grievance is that they scuff easily. Now, I’m kind of a rough-and-tumble kind of person, but it was surprising to me that in the two or three weeks I’ve had these, they’ve already started to scuff permanently in spots. I love them. I had actually bought the wrong pair and had to return them and get these. So thank you customer service. With just a few things to say. They are great boots and very well made and sturdy. A few things to nit pick at were. I wish they had the water proof seal with the tongue just as extra security. And the tongue on my left boot seems to always pull outward no matter how much I adjust it continuously. They are id say 70/100% slip resistant. But very well made and comfortable for kitchen work with wet and dirty tile floors. Easy to clean and will have for years to come. Overall love the boots

They do run a little big as others have mentioned in the comments, but I usually wear a 9.5-10 and the women’s 10’s were perfect. They loosen a little as they break in, so be aware that if they’re initially a little snug they’ll become roomier. I’ve been wearing them daily for two weeks, and they only felt stiff and uncomfortable for the first two days(approx. 10 hrs of wear). Although I don’t have any major complaints I will say that these aren’t as nonslip as some of the other nonslip shoes I’ve tried. I feel fairly stable but will slip slightly on milk puddles or very slick floors. They are also VERY squeaky, but I’ve been reassured this gets better after a few months. These were nice looking boots that ideally fit my needs because of the slip resistant sole. The problem I encountered was the fit. Length wise and width wise they fit like any other size 11 shoe. Hight wise they didn’t fit like a regular 11. There was such little hight between where the bottom of my foot sits and where the covering over the top of my foot is. The seam at the base of the tongue protruded down in just such a way that they were instantly painful to wear. This isn’t typical of any other size 11 Dr Martens I’ve owned previously. Sadly, I had to return them, and had to lose out on $7.00 of my refund to ship them back.

Maybe i need more time to break them in but its proving impossible. I can use them for maybe 3 hours tops with no problems. Passing the 4th hour and the balls of my feet and my toes are in immense pain. So the last 2-3 hours of my shifts are not fun.I usually double up on insoles but i can't do that with these. Any extra layer just presses my feet/toes to the top of the shoe and makes an incredibly tight fit. The seam on the tongue of the shoe that sits on top of the foot is also uncomfortable. Look good. Good size. Super stiff. Slightly narrower than used to. Could do with a bit wider. Laces strong but feelplasticy. Sheen on boots is good. What's it made of. Souls are nice - haven't tested out the non-slip but maybe I'll come across a slippery patch of ground. You just never know. Life is so funny. Sometimes things just get spilled. Maybe the boots will show their worth. Maybe I'll fall. Nice laces. Nice souls. Good leather.
