Very happy with these boots. Love the Bex platform sole, perfect height. Definitely recommend also buying the care kit that includes the Wonder Balsam + Dubbin and applying right out of the box before wearing. There were a few minor manufacturing defects on the first pair I received so I contacted customer service. Not only were they very quick to respond, but also very pleasant and helpful with my return/exchange. My replacement pair arrived quickly without any issues. Great customer service experience.

In Doctor Martens we trust. The 1460 boot is an iconic, timeless design. The boot itself is practical, functional and will last and last once youâve put the time and effort into wearing it in. Currently, Iâm finding plasters on the ankle and thick socks works for the first few outings just until the leather moulds to your feet. Short term, there might be a little pain, but the long term gain is worth it and I urge you to stick with your Docs! Few other shoe makers have made their mark on history, fashion and society like Doctor Martens!

This was a gift for my daughter. She went to wear the shoes for the first time and the left shoe were the tongue is sewn to the shoe was stabbing her on top of the foot so she was unable to wear the shoes. Unfortunately I do not have my recipe and am not sure what needs to be done to get a replacement for the shoes. I have my credit card statement showing that they were purchased on 11/25/2022. Of course this email is proof as well. Please let me know what we can do to get this reconciled. I can not get a photo of the issue as it is down inside the shoe.

The pair of Doc Martens we received were in a box that was torn. The shoes were not wrapped individually and were rubbing against each other. The worst part is that there were receipts for socks and other items in the box, so these shoes were obviously returned and resold. I cleaned up the bottom of the shoes because I had no choice as these shoes were a gift. This order was thrown together with no regard to presentation. I pay good money for a good product, it was unfortunate that the presentation of it was crap. I am grateful I decided to take delivery and wrap the gift instead of having the shoes delivered directly to my goddaughter for her birthday. She would have opened that hot mess and which would have certainly taken away from the gift.
I am immensely happy about this purchase. The quality, the design, the size, everything is perfect-ish. I hesitate to put 5 stars because I don't really believe that anything can be as perfect as that. Those boots would have had to cure cancer to get 5 stars and even then I'd probably find some drawbacks. It takes some time to "break" them in. The boots fit very well except for the left one which was rather tight and pressing on the top of my foot quite painfully at first. I started to stretch it out with whatever I could get at home and now its much better, but needless to say, I would have been much more happy if I didn't have this issue at all. However the issue might not be the boots, but perhaps my feet. Idunno. Anyway, I love these boots.
Too early to tell about how long theyâll last but they are nice looking and seem to be well made. I always get a size larger so I have plenty of room for thick winter socks. And they are still snug. I donât like that the insoles are glued in though. And will take some time to break the leather in. They also feel more clunky and heavier than my black combs boot. Those are really comfortable out of the box and are light weight. But overall these will be good for wearing for special occasions. I wouldnât want to wear them all day walking.

Dr. Martens does not accept exchanges and the process to return and get a new pair was extremely difficult. I bought the original pair on Black Friday getting a sale and 10% off because I signed up and made my first purchase. On the second pair I had to buy to âexchangeâ the first pair I did not receive any of the same pricing and after speaking with customer service I was supposed to not be charged the $7 shipping fee to return the first pair but that did not happen either. When my money was refunded for the first pair I was $7 short. Very disappointed with how such a great show brand can have such shortcomings in customer service. I recently purchased a pair of cherry red DM boots after many many years of owning a pair.Call me nostalgic but my last pair was as a spotty teenager.I was so excited awaiting my purchase to arrive which they did promptly alas when I eagerly opened the box I did find a pair of cherry red boots but when I picked them up from the box my heart sunk.The tough leather I remember from many a blister to âbreak them inâ was nowhere to be seen, instead I was greeted with a thin, cheap feeling leather substitute indicative of a Wellington boot. The material folded rather than creased and didnât give the confidence of robustness which I remember the DM boot being renowned for.With a heavy disappointed heart the goods were returned.A sad day.
Love these, I already have 1460âs in black patent and leopard print so the cherry red is a welcome addition to my collection,I find 1460âs instantly comfy, and donât need to break them in, i managed to get years of use from my black patent ones around 5-7 years! - I kinda ripped the surface of them on wire (during a craft project ) amazing value for money - no other footwear could offer this longevity especially when worn daily. Pretty much indestructible and guaranteed style and comfort for years - cost is initially high, but for the value and quality itâs worth it.Thank you for my boots I will love and appreciate them for years to come.
I was SO excited to get these. I saved up money and although pricey I was head over heels HAD to have them! Once I got them I was so sad and disappointed in their stiffness. Like so stiff to the point it actually hurts. You have to loosen them so much to even get them on that the strings arenât long enough to tie! Not to mention most of my pants I wear are slightly cropped so there was a gap of leg showing between my pants and the boots. So disappointing because I loved the look of these boots and my black dr martens from the previous year werenât as stiff and didnât take long to break in.
