Being a bit vertically challenged (i.e. I'm not so tall), the extra platform on the shoes gives me more confidence. The shoes, once worn a few times, feel like carpet slippers. As for the style, they are just right. For instance, not too ordinary and not too over-the-top. When I wore them at the start of the new term, I got a few complements. By the way, I'm a teacher, not a student! That gives me a buzz, especially when you're in your 50's!! Now, there's my cracking, stella review. Where's my new pair of Dr. Martens, then??

I bought this online as a gift for my daughter for Christmas. She tried on and runs too big. So she went to Dr. Marten's store in City to try on a smaller size which yes, fits better. Now she was told she cannot exchange online purchases!!! What is that about!!!!! We have to exchange by mail. Isn't it much easier to do a store exchange?! Not happy with customer service but products are great!

I read reviews to size down if you have narrow feet. (I’m a size 8) so I ordered a size 7. The shoe was way too tight, so I reordered an 8. My right shoe is too wide. (Totally different print in different shoes) The shoe flops up and down on my ankles, which makes them hard to wear for long periods of time. I’ve tried the double pair of socks and my feet are too hot. Totally disappointing for $150. It’s sad because I really like the look and wish that they had a better fit for narrow feet women.

The thicker sole is great for the bus pedals, and they weather well.Only minor complaint is the outer edge of the shoe rubs on the bottom of my ankle. This is going away as that edge softens with wear. But a tiny bit lower cut there would be great.This is my second pair. The other are boots for fall/winter weather.Thanks Dr Martens
These shoes are so cute! They definitely took some time to break in but i’m happy with them! Creasing occurred quickly but that’s to be expected. My one complaint is that the top layer is beginning to peel where the shoe creases and I’m really bummed because I’ve only had them for a month or two. Idk if the peeling is normal but I’m super sad because it really affects the sleek look of the shoe.
This is my third pair of Docs and I was so excited because these look super cool and stylish. My other Docs are super comfy after you break them in. At first, they were rubbing blisters and I thought it was just the breaking them in. But they continuously hurt my feet and make me not want to wear them. I’m going to keep trying to just keep breaking them in, but I was just very displeased with the comfort of them. Again, super stylish shoe, and It’s super great quality, it just may be that the kind of foot you have affects the comfort.
I'm a 7.5 womens wide which is a standard medium width in mens ("D"), so I'm surprised how narrow this runs for a unisex shoe. I tried both size 7 and 8, and kept the 7s. 8s were enormous. They only stayed put with 2 pairs of hiking socks & were way too long to walk in properly. 7s fit perfectly without socks but are still snug with anything thicker than a dress sock. I returned the 8s and wore the 7s with a pair of thick socks for 30 min then out & about, sockless, for a few hours. No blisters or discomfort whatsoever. Only downside is that the leather, at least brand new, isn't breathable. Otherwise comfy but def not a width I'd classify as remotely unisex.
It was my first time buying Dr martens, however I expected them to be a bit more comfortable given the price and everyone raving about them. Also my heel keeps slipping out the shoe. When you’re paying a high price of £150 you wouldn’t expect that to happen. It is disappointing that I had to buy additional heel shields to go in the shoe to sort the issue, adding another cost
So these run big like the Jadon platform boot. My normal size is a 7 but I fit perfectly in the size 6 for the Jadons and I got these Oxfords in a 6 as well. They fit perfectly with thin socks or medium thick merino wool socks.My only issue with them is that the tongue of the shoe puts pressure on the top of my foot when I'm going up or down stairs. I REALLY hope that with wear that'll go away because I LOVE THESE.
As a server I rely on the best shoes for safety and comfort and believe in paying for both. The quality and most importantly the fit have changed.In the 80s I swore by Docs exclusively.The quality of the leather is not the same, the fit is narrower, and the comfort is not the same. At all.I ordered both shoes and boots thinking it may be the style. It is not. Sadly I returned both.
