Dr Martens 1461 Quad Black Shoes

Super cute, goes with sooo many outfits, but I wouldn't recommend them for long wear (ex: concerts/festivals). They get uncomfortable just standing around in after about an hour for me. However, wearing them during like a school day when I'm just walking between classes and sitting doesn't bother me at all. Also run a tad bit large imo. I'm usually a size 10, plus I have wide feet, and these are slightly big on me. I don't know if I'd necessarily size down but I do normally try to wear thicker socks with them (which protects the back of my ankles from getting blistered anyway so it's really a win-win)

An expression of delight

I really enjoy the design of this product. I wish were would be more platform shoes for men. Right now, I am wearing the shoes very comfortably, but at the begining one of the shoes in a pair was a little bit tight. Wearing a tight shoe caused a blister and a wound on the heel.In cases of blisters and wounds, I really recommend to use a COMPEED plaster. It is very effective in such situations, you may leave the plaster in place up to several days. Also the plaster covers the blister and the wound and prevents the progression of them. You may even wear the same tight shoes immediately after placing this plaster.After all, I express a great satisfaction towards this product and I am looking forward to try other shoes by Dr. Martens.

Favorite pair

Have had my number of pairs and these are absolutely my fav!!! Other reviews say that the shoe runs large but i ordered my regular size (6 in woman's) and they fit spot on ! There’s the tiniest bit of wiggle room but i think thats the way it should be ? Theyre not a b**** to break in either, at least in my opinion, but they are a little heavy. Nothing to complain about though ! V happy i bought these while they were on sale cus now theyre sold out :,)

Beautiful but alas the patent version is too narrow. My 13yr old daughter has wide feet, high insteps. Finding shoes that fit is challenging and alas the patent have to be returned. But the design and quality are fab so today we tried the same style in normal leather, she needed ½ a size smaller (unheard of!!!). Perfect fit! So for those with wide feet, patent is snug, normal leather is a relaxed fit. These lovely shoes have some weight behind them and hopefully some durability. 'Buy well, buy once' is my expectation of Docs; shoes that can withstand shoe serial killers likey kid (£70 school shoes dead half way through a school year). And as a fabulous, potentially bank emptying bonus, a visit to Doc Martens shop revealed many tempting items for me...who knew they ... MoreBeautiful but alas the patent version is too narrow. Don’t listen anybody who says they run large! They are very try to size. I wear 8.9-9, but last time I listened somebody’s advice to size down, I ended up with the pair that I cannot return and that hurts me so much. I wish I would have gone with my usual size (which is 9).This oxfords are so pretty, I can wear them with anything! The shiny finish makes those shoes very special a lil bit festive! Love them more that those with just smooth leather.

Nice color

These look a little (clown-like) large for those w/ smaller feet (size 6 women). Perfect oxblood color. Good for those with wide toe boxes; this was the first shoe I did not have to stretch. I almost returned them because they look goofy with some clothes, but the color is perfect and it works for select outfits.

The shoes are not true

The shoes are not true to size I have had to order three times and they still do not fit and it is extremely frustrating that you cannot return shoes at a store and have to mail them back in and it takes weeks to get your money back. I got these shoes as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. He is a size 10 and every shoe he owns And we have tried three different sizes now none fit they’re either too big or too small

The worst shoes that I have purchased in my whole life

First let’s begin with the fact That I tried to return them, because I wore then once and they didn’t fit, my heel would come out every time, I walked, I went the store and the girl who works there, told me I couldn’t return them because I wore them, whatever I told her about the whole heel situation and she gave me two white patches to put them in the shoes because apparently she had the same problem and yea… that didn’t work, took the shoes to Ecuador because I went for the holidays for vacation, they tried to fix them in Ecuador, putting insoles where the heel goes and nothing…. I took the insole out and put the white patch that the girl gave me at the store and nothing….. heel still coming out, even though the shoe actually fits me! So now I’m stuck with this pair of shoes and it has been the worst experience of purchasing shoes, I had never had a issue with returning “expensive” shoes after wearing them once.

We returned these as they

We returned these as they were too small. They seem to run smaller than other styles. We have not gotten any feedback that return was received. When we processed the return we were not given the option to just exchange for a larger size so now we have to go through the purchase process all over again if we do want to get the size 11 once we receive our refund. Inconvenient.

What happened to Doc Martens?

As a server I rely on the best shoes for safety and comfort and believe in paying for both. The quality and most importantly the fit have changed.In the 80s I swore by Docs exclusively.The quality of the leather is not the same, the fit is narrower, and the comfort is not the same. At all.I ordered both shoes and boots thinking it may be the style. It is not. Sadly I returned both.
