Beautiful shoes, but painful to wear

I always wanted to have a pair of this shoes, with lots of courage I bought it finally, even though I knew from reading the reviews that it would be painful to wear in the first couple of month. However I under estimate the pain when squeezing my foot into the shoes with all my strength , it was killing me, it hurt so much, it was torture . My foot end of swollen, skin came off on top of the foot with bruises too. However having said that, the quality of the shoes is really good, style is beautiful. After 6 wears, they are getting slightly softer and a little easier to get in now.

Gorgeous shoes

The shoes are gorgeous. Good quality. Luckily no blisters. Easy to break in. They do run big so the smallest size they have fits me a bit too big. I originally ordered a size 6 in women’s thinking they would be true to size but they were huge so I had to return. I did go to the store and purchase a size 5 and it’s still a bit big. Still bought them though. I recommend. I keep getting compliments on the shoes.

Love!! But narrow fitting.

Absolutely love these! Ordered for work and they look fab.I am and have always been a size 4. These are very narrow fitting, I really struggle to get them on (even after now wearing 5 days a week for the last 3 weeks)Once they are on me I’m dead comfortable in them but not for fat feet lol that heel just doesn’t budge. I have ordered in a shoe horn to help. I think they will be fine long term I just wish I didn’t have to sandwich and force my feet into them. I don’t think a bigger size would make a difference as it’s only the heel gap I struggle with.

More options in women’s sizing!
12 March 2024

I only wear Doc Martens. Period. I didn’t want to buy these loafers because I really don’t like the tassle, but I needed black shoes. This is my second pair of Women’s sized Docs and they are perfect! All other Doc are unisex and require thick socks and/or insoles to make them fit, but none are as comfortable as these loafers and my 1460 boots. Please keep adding more styles of women’s sizes!

New work shoes
18 March 2024

I’ve been hesitant about getting docs as people say they’re hard to wear in but people also say they last forever. I’ve gone through a pair of sandlers each year as work shoes before they get holes in them so I figured I would take the jump to docs and wow. The quality straight out of the box of these blew me away. The style is so versatile for work or leisure. Thick socks for a week and I’m ready to go. I am very happy with this purchase and hope they last me more than a year!

Pleasantly surprised
26 January 2023

I had been eyeing these for months now and finally pulled the trigger. When I first got them it took me like a couple minutes to get my foot in and I was hella worried. But as I wore them more they loosened up. Had a bit of pain on the heel and toes where the tassel is (probably because that’s where it’s tight to keep it on your foot) but it got less tight as I wore them. About 2 weeks later they have stretched to the point that they fit me more like an 11.5, my true size. I ordered these in a size 11 US. My foot is ever so slightly wider than normal. Would definitely recommend these! Oh, also make sure to wear thick socks to help stretch these and to protect your heel and toes from blisters.

Super comfortable & look great - good buy!
7 April 2024

They arrived quickly . These are my fifth pair of DM's (all different styles) and i must say that these loafers are super comfortable Wore them for a night out as soon as they arrived and had no issues at all. No breaking in required. The top of the left shoe seems to fit more loosely then the right one but it's not obvious and it's only noticeable when i put them on. The leather is nice, they're super comfy and they look great on.

Very uncomfortable
13 April 2024

I purchased these and have worn them 5 times now. I have had to purchase sticky cushions for the heels as they have ripped my heels apart with the hard back. These shoes are unfortunately very very uncomfortable- if I hadn’t already worn them I would be returning them asap. AVOID purchasing and purchase a cheaper version of loafers instead is my advice. The extra cost for dr martens has not gone into the comfort of quality, that is for sure.

Wide Foot Battle W/ Adrian
12 August 2024

I wanted to give loafers a try and I liked the design of the Adrian, so here we go!To be safe, I bought TTS as I would with any other schuh. I hear most people do a size smaller and break them in so they mold to their feet.At first they were really tough to put on because my feet were too wide. The strap that holds the tassels made it tough to slip in, and the stitching that holds the fringe were digging into my feet. Almost like piercing the top of my foot. But I was determined. I figured I was keeping these, so I removed the stitching with a seam ripper, which helped with slipping in and I crushed the heel forward to get my foot in. I used a shoehorn to help stretch around the areas that were tight, especially on top of the foot where the strap is.Wore them around the house with thick socks for short periods. Took about two hours total until they started to feel like they were shaping to my feet. May need to add the heel grips later if and when they start to feel loose.OVERALL— if you’re similar footed like myself, these are the steps (and somewhat struggle) to commit to the aesthetic of the Adrian. May void the return policy, but they are a great pair of loafers once fitted. The shine of the leather iconic and the black pair is an easy colour to wear.

the most uncomfortable shoes in
5 December 2023

the most uncomfortable shoes in my life, I specifically bought them because I thought they would be comfortable, but no, they are terrible in terms of comfort, and it's not a problem with the size of the shoes, the size is correct. I only walked in them for one hour in my feet were covered in calluses and blood. I had a similar pair from Zara, and they were more comfortable and cost twice as much. the only plus in them is that they look very nice, unfortunately that's all, I don't think I'll wear them regularly, but I probably can't return the way I used to wear them.
