I love the colour as well, I was a bit sceptical to buy a burgundy thinking that it’s going to be lighter than in pictures but it is not, it’s perfect.I have other platform boots and walking in them is difficult but this pair is amazing you can barely tell you got platforms when walking. Truly amazing quality.

I'm 6 feet tall and thought that these platforms would be overkill. They're considerably taller than my 1460 Bex Pascals and look downright intimidating. Once on my feet though, they look natural on my feet and so much easier to take off since there is a zipper. I am a little taller with these boots on, but it isn't a huge difference as I was expecting. I have gotten many compliments on how the boots look, especially the burgundy color. They do feel a little heavy on my feet, but they are really comfortable and the soles are way quieter than the soles on my 1460's.

I got these in the dark maroon burgundy color because they were on sale and I actually love the color more than the black! They are unique and go with more outfits than I figured they would.I wear a 7.5 or 8 and I went with an 8, There is room in the boot but I actually prefer this so I can wear warm socks, I went back and forth on what size to get but I would recommend go with your normal true size.I do wish they had a more comfortable insole but I can always buy one.If you're on the fence, buy them!!

These shoes are unbelievably gorgeous, probably my favorite shoes ever. Only problem is that I am a baby when it comes to breaking shoes in. If you're like me I recommend getting silicone heel protectors or ace wrap, wear them UNDER your socks (and wear thick socks that cover your ankles), and also use the wonder balsam... after 1-2 wks of regular wear they feel much better. Also this boot seems to run 1/2 size too large so I put in some insoles n now they're perfect
I have never had Dr Martens before so I was unsure of what size since I’m a 7.5 and they don’t have half sizes, I ordered an 8. They were a little bigger than I wanted so I was hoping to return or exchange them at the local Dr Marten store but I was told that I would have to ship them since the online store and the brick and mortar store aren’t the same. I just decided to keep them and hope they work. The color is beautiful but they flip around a bit. just wish they had a better return policy, but now i know, don’t order online. 😕
Lovely shoe. The colour a lovely deep Burgundy rather than a reddish tone. The leather was stiff and most likely requiring some breaking in. I particularly loved the bounce in the sole. Unfortunately I had to return as the boot would not tie securely around my ankles. So I am now eyeing up the brogues.
First of all , I first buy this boots in 10 m , that's my size, however, this runs small, like a number, I thought that this brand run 1 size larger,well i had to return it an wait for all the process, and then, this boots are heavy and hard,so ,if you don't like uncomfortable and heavy shoes better think in other options, in my case, I spect that,so i don't mind about that. The other thing, this brand have good designes an materials, however,too basic, and the manofactue of those ones is from a country near of China ,so for those reasons I think that the price is a little higher than what it really worth,After all,yeah you are paying for the brand,So I would sayMaterials 9/10Comforting 4/10Design 10/10Price 7/10
As to my insight, the boots are way too heavy. The sole does not bend at all, so it's like stomping with ski boots. I used all the smart tactics to not get blisters and raw skin whilst wearing in the boots, however my feet were raw in many places after just 1-2 times of wearing the boots. The inside seemed to be too harsh, so the foot was not able to move like it naturally does upon walking, causing distress to the feet and lower leg muscles. I would not buy the boots again and would not generally recommend them. The color is nice, though.
They’re not comfortable and hard to walk in, they’re not easy to break into with the material at all. I’m aware that I can’t return them because when I exchanged the first pair, the people at the store put it on a gift card instead of giving my money back, so then I bought these online and they also feel like they don’t fit the best, but idk how one size down will fit because they don’t have them in store to try on, and if I exchange I’ll have to pay $8 to exchange. It’s a headache buying from dr martens. They’re not cheap shoes to have to go through this.
Still breaking in these beauties, a couple of weeks in and getting there. This is my 12th pair of Doc's and it's definitely in the top 3 for looks. The toe box is more narrow than I like, but using a stretcher worked well for that issue. Not much extra room too be able to add my own preferred insole, so that takes getting used to. High quality build though, I'm sure they will go the distance. They do squeak a bit, but hoping that goes away with time. Used mink oil to treat the inside so it would soak into the leather, it helps. They look sexy as heck, so I'm committed to the break in.
