I have been wanting a pair of Dr Martens for years but never had the courage to buy a pair so I took the plunge and had a pair bought me for my birthday and oh my word these are great! They look for and feel fantastic!! I had a decision to either have lace up original style or the Chelsea boot style, as I like both styles. They fit like a glove, so comfortable, no need to break them in as the leather is so soft and are true to size.Never too old for a pair of docs!!’ that’s my opinion, I love mine and lived in them ever since I received them. Thank you 😊Ps… Think I may treat myself one day to a pair of Chelsea Boot style 😃

These are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. Lovely soft leather and fit perfectly. I have wide feet and these were ideal. I bought another pair for work as I’m on my feet all day and now I won’t be wearing any other boots again. They needed no breaking in either which was good. Best pair of Docs I’ve ever owned.

I’m generally a DMs fan so this is an objective complaint. I’m a small UK8. I love my UK8 101s but require DM insoles for good fit. I bought Thurston Chukka in UK8 and they were unwearably tight… I returned them for UK9 and they are impossibly large. Even with the DM insoles that make my 101s fit nicely. Where has DM gone these past years? Where’s the uniformity, and quality control in sizing. And why isn’t there a size I can wear?! It makes no sense. These are beautiful boots that I’m gutted to have to return for a second time.

Bought this style because they looked more comfortable than the usual 1664 boots.I am 66 years old and it's the first pair of DMs I've ever bought in my life.They were comfy straight out of the box and I love the all flat sole rather than the stepped heal ones and the leather is soft and feels really good quality.I do wear slightly thicker socks because they do tend to feel slightly bigger than a normal size 9 but it's not much more so I'd say they are true to size for a boot and I'm sure if I'd bought a size 8 they would have been too small.I wear them with any trousers and they look really smart.I've polished them to a high gloss and they look great.I'm m sure they will last for years.
Love them. There was a little rubbing on the right foot for a day or so but other than that I didn't have to break them in. I have a problem with one foot being longer than the other so the size three was a bit tighter on my right foot than the left but the boot soon stretched and is fine now. They are quite new so haven't worn them a lot but I can see them taking over from all my other boots. So versatile will go with anything.

I’ve been wearing docs since the 70s I’m 60 now and know how bad the breaking in of the boots are but down to vanity I love DM’s. I bought the pascal Virginia in khaki earlier this year and even they need breaking in for a couple of weeks even wearing little rubber heel protectors my granddaughter told me about. NOT THESE straight out the box I walked around Edinburgh for 8 hours not even the slightest rubbing on my heels, total game changer. I’m a 6.5 very narrow feet. I bought the 6.5 needed a thick pair of socks then they were fine. Don’t know what’s happened over the 45 ... MoreAbsolutely love these boots. Bought as a birthday present for my mum, as she has always wanted a pair. I was very apprehensive about the break in period as she has problems with her legs but to my surprise she said they were the comfiest shoes shes ever had. Shes had them for around 2-3 weeks now and wont get out of them.They are true to size with a bit of give room but not too much. No need to size up or down. The only advice would be to wear a calf high sock 😂
This is the third pair bought and returned. First pair were two different sizes! Second pair Glue visible around soles and the vamp was off centre kept moving to the side. Third pair visible knot of stitching at side of left boot and uneven stitching on right boot. Not what I expect when paying £129.00 ! Drop in standards. To be expected when outsourced to Vietnam. Will not be buying a fourth pair. Very disappointed.
As expected the feel and look is timeless and the quality is outstanding. The Thurston Chukka is a real head turner and is a fantastic boot that can be styled with many different outfits.They do feel roomy, brought a 6 and needed to purchase Dr Marten socks to fill them out. The 5 is too snug so ideally a 5.5 would have suited but not an option that exists. The socks solve the issue.Ordered on line and arrived with a few days well packaged and box fresh.Still delighted with purchase as a first time Dr Marten wearer. Built to last for sure.
I love my new boots. My first pair of Dr Martens. I’m usually a size 6 but ordered a 6.5 as I thought they might be difficult to put on. I was wrong, the laces loosen easily to slide your foot in, no need to size up with these Boots, a size 6 would have been a better fit but I’ve decided to keep these so that I can wear 2 pairs of socks. The leather is so soft & did not need any wearing in, the boots have been comfortable from day one. I am so pleased with my purchase I have ordered another pair that were in the sale, the Devon Heart Platform Boots, can’t wait for them to arrive, to add to my collection.
