It took me a while to review this because I live in a hot climate and there wasn’t a need for it until recently. My husband loves being cold and I prefer to stay warm. This heater is wonderful. It keeps me warm and comfortable while my husband freezes out the rest of the house. No more fighting over the thermostat. He keeps the house at the temperature he likes and I keep this little heater close to me. It doesn’t heat up a whole room or anything, but that is exactly why I love it. It keeps me warm, but lets him enjoy the cooler temps and not be affected by the heater. If you are looking to heat up a large room this isn’t for you, but it does amazing for smaller areas without heating the whole house.

Upon opening the box my favorite thing was that it was already put together! The wheels fold in/ out and were already attached as well as the area that holds the cord. I’ve never had an electric heater where you can set the time and program timers. In the winter our first floor gets very cold no matter what, so the air comes up the stairs and this has cut down on the kitchen/living room becoming cold. The sides don’t get very hot, but pretty warm, unlike other radiant heaters I’ve had which is good if my dog bumps into it. It also has an anti freeze option, so once it gets down to a certain temperature it will kick on. Overall I’m really surprised with how much I liked this heater and plan to use it all winter.

It’s been difficult to adjust the temps in my home due to the temperatures outside. It has been very chilly in the mornings but warms up throughout the day. A great example, when I woke up Saturday morning, it was only 66° in the house and I was freezing! The weather the day prior was a high of 76° so not enough to turn on our hvac system yet. I plugged it in before everyone woke up, turned the digital knob to the highest setting of 83° and set it up in the dining/kitchen area. When I went to check an hour later it, it was warm and toasty! 🔥 This high powered mechanism was meant for my home! I’m so impressed with the heating performance!! The dragon style heating element efficiently warms up the room, and the adjustable thermostat allows you to maintain your preferred temperature. The heater operates quietly and peacefully. The only minor drawback is that it may consume slightly more energy than some other heaters, however I justify it that I’d still be running my Heat/AC system and only have one portion of my house heated or cooled. It’s a win-win for me! Overall, the Delonghi Dragon Radiant Heater offers reliable warmth and convenience, making it a great investment for staying cozy in the winter. When you take it out of the box, it is ready to plug in and use so you don’t have to worry about putting anything together. This heater does get a little hot on the outside so I would recommend making sure nothing is close to it and it is on a surface that can handle the heat. The unit is so easy to operate and the instructions will walk you through step by step with pictures. You choose the desired temperature then choose the power level you want - Min, Med, Max or Max+eco. You can also use the timer feature for it to run for a set amount of time. Once it was running, it only took a few minutes to feel the heat and it hardly made any noise at all while running. My room is approximately 150 sq Ft and it had no problem heating it. The only maintenance that is needed on this heater is an occasional wipe down with a soft, damp cloth. You can neatly wind and store the plug in the front when you are not using the heater. The heater is well made and feels very durable. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for an easy to operate portable heater.

Now that the nights have been colder, I have finally been able to put this heater to the test! After running it for about an hour, it heated my large living room up significantly! Very impressive! Love that it has a digital screen and the temperature can be adjusted with just the turn of a knob. It has a timer that can be set as well! While it is running it has a quiet operation. The only thing that is slightly annoying is a clicking sound it makes on occasion when coming to temperature. I have used electric space heaters with the fan in the past and this is superior in function and sound—it is just a little on the larger side, but to me, that is not a deal breaker. Would definitely recommend!!

I was gifted this item for free from Influenster and Delonghi in exchange for my honest review. So I gave this heater to my elderly father and mother in-law so they could keep warm during the colder months. And they loved it! Overall, the instructions are easy to understand. The heater is quiet and it has safety features which I really liked. Also, it has a timer so you can determine how long you want to keep the heater on. The design of the heater is nice. I like that it’s sleek and looks modern. My in-laws also said they like that they don’t have to heat up the whole house when they spend most of their time in only certain rooms of their house. Overall, this radiant heater is perfect for anyone needing a space heater.

What a great investment. I was originally worried I was going to have to supply oil ( since it mentions oil based) like overseas heaters. Let me reassure any doubts that anyone might have that you don’t have to supply oil. It comes equipped with it and all you do is plug it in the outlet. Takes a little to figure out so I recommend reading those instructions. Once it’s on though it really distributes the heat nicely and is ultra quiet. As a parent with two youngins I also don’t have to fret about them burning themselves as the unit doesn’t seem to get warmer than lukewarm when touching the metal. Which is awesome. 12 Issues They Don't Tell You + 3 Positives

Several things that you probably want to know about this heater and DeLonghi that wouldn't know unless you buy it or specifically ask: 1. the heat only comes out the top. Virtually no heat comes out the sides or ends. The top of the sides is slightly hot from convection from the metal on top where the heat is coming out. This means your legs will get cold even if this heater is a few inches from your legs. 2. The site states "75% more radiant surface." Than what? Without knowing the heater this is being compared to, this statement is meaningless. 3. This is a panel heater, not a fin heater, and it is not possible to see how this heater has more radiant surface than a fin heater. 4. I have not been able to turn the heater off. It is supposed to shut off by pushing the button, but I can't get that to work. 6. The photo on the site shows this heater in a large room with 3 large windows, 2 going to the ceiling - implying that this heater will heat a large room with big windows. It won't. A phone rep told me it is designed to heat 144 sq. ft (not stated on the site). 12 X 12. It can provide supplemental heat in rooms less than 144 sq. ft. 7. We had 2 of these going in a room of 180 sq ft. They should have been enough for 288 sq. ft. They were not, it was cold (with no central heating). One heater is enough for our room of 180 sq ft with central heating set at 60 degrees unless the wind is blowing, in which case, we have to turn the heater up to about 80 degrees to raise the central heat temperature of 60 degrees to 63. 8. 2 phone reps were not able to answer any of the above questions. A third phone rep agreed with most of them. Their phone reps are call center reps who read from a script or manual, and the manual is minimal and does not explain the above issues and points. 8. DeLonghi does not have an exchange program, despite what their site says. Their "exchange" policy states to do a return, be refunded, then buy another product. That is not an exchange, it is a return and second, separate purchase. 9. Products that have been used are not eligible for return. So if you do anything other than plug them in and turn on (such as programming even one setting like the date, they could call that 'used,' and not refund. 10. Their site says you are responsible for return shipping, which will be as much as most of their units cost ($80). This is not true - their reps will send you a mailing label if you tell them the unit is unused. 11. Their customer service email service is not used, except to ask you to call them. If you email them from the form on their site, you'll only get an email asking you to call them. If you reply to that email asking a question, another different rep will send you another email asking you to call. 12. The cord is not grounded, only 2-prong. It should be a grounded 3-prong cord.Positives: 1. A lot of hot air comes out the top. Whether they heat a room faster and more than a fin heater, I don't know, nor do their phone reps. 2. Handles on BOTH ends - unusual, and a major positive they don't tell you (and 3 phone reps didn't know). 3. Folding wheels, no installation and they can't come off.

Set at 76, it's pretty tolerable to touch the sides without the fear of burning little ones. Set at 80, it is quite hot. I can still touch it for a few seconds, and it won't give real burns, but you would be teaching a little one "hot, don't touch.""TLDR: Overall it's a good heater that does its job. The thermostat is off by about 7 degrees (runs colder than set temp). It gets too hot to touch when set to above 76 degrees. I wouldn't trust little ones around it unsupervised.
