This vice is very good value for money. My only criticism is that the spring for the quick release mechanism was wound far too tightly, you really needed super human strength to operate it. Fortunately, I've got other quick release vices so I know how to dismantle them. I did so with this one. After taking apart the quick release mechanism, I backed off the spring and reassembled it. The vice is now much easier to use. That said, if you don't know how to do this, you will struggle to use the mechanism, which is a pity. In all other respects, it's a very well made tool.

Heavy vice for sure, jaws are a bit tight to slide but its new, will wear just like everything else, Jaws are not parallel but I think that's intentionally done to clamp more securely along the top edge's, Happy with my new vice - money well spent

This vice is very good value for money. My only criticism is that the spring for the quick release mechanism was wound far too tightly, you really needed super human strength to operate it. Heavy vice for sure, jaws are a bit tight to slide but its new, will wear just like everything else, Jaws are not parallel but I think that's intentionally done to clamp more securely along the top edge's, Happy with my new vice - money well spent
