Draper 53234 Galvanised Watering Can, 9L

This is a cheap and cheerful galvanized watering can. I have no idea how good the galvanizing is, but I don't expect it will be an heirloom to pass on to my grandchildren. It's medium gauge metal: not flimsy, but not too heavy either. Very good value for money from FFX - quite a lot of Ebay sellers were asking nearly double the price.

Not bad looking watering can, bit quite thin metal . Time will tell.. Delivered pointlessly shrink and bubble wrapped so hard to unpack and not very environmentally sound.

Brilliant watering can

After reading other reviews I was a bit wary of this watering can, but when it was tried with and without the rose it functioned perfectly. There were no drips from the rose as one reviewer had, and it is easy to remove and refit the rose. I am well pleased with this watering can and will be recommending it to those who are considering which to buy. Not only is it a good watering can from a good maker, but it was bought at a bargain price, and this makes it even more attractive.

Good capacity

Well made item as you would expect for Draper products. The two gallon capacity is perfect (although my wife struggles when its full!). Will hopefully last longer than the plastic watering cans and at around 20 its great value.

Good looking retro item.

Arrived well packaged and within the stated timescale. Initially it showed a leak from a weld that that seems to have resolved itself. Item looks as good as expected and am pleased with it.

Good quality watering can

Looks and feels good quality, but would have preferred a finer rose. It also drips from the rose. Just hope it doesn't rust like my previous one.

Not quite 5 stars

Nicely made but let down by the "rose." I had to add a washer to prevent leakage from behind the rose. The spray pattern is somewhat uneven. But it does the job and I have not had much luck with plastic cans as the heads eventually wear and fall off too easily.

Strong can

Strong galvanised can with screw on brass rose and sturdy handles. Marked 2G for adding correct quantity of chemicals if required.

Sturdy, well made and good looking

So much better than any plastic can.. Sturdy with a comfortable handle. Great appearance. The removable rose sprinkles evenly. A great product.

Well made but not that pretty

I was looking for a replacement can because my old plastic one dripped heavily from the rose damaging seedlings, this one is much better though the rose is finer, but still drips causing damage to seedlings but less forcefully. It is also almost perfectly round (circular plan view) which is not apparent in the imagery, It is fatter and therefore more efficient ratio of water capacity to weight but not so easy to stow Its appearance is shiny galvanised metal, a nice dark green paint job might be in order
