This cleanser is really gentle yet effective. I always double cleanse my face and I use this as my second cleanser. It never strips my face out of moisture and never ever irritates my skin. I have super dry skin, so I don’t feel my skin sucked out of moisture after using this. Of course I feel dry after 5 minutes of using this if I don’t apply any moisturizer over top. I never experience any breakouts, rash or sensitivity while using this. It never blurs my vision while or after using. This is probably my 5th or 6th bottle and I really enjoy this cleanser. PS- I bought this product with my own money and This is my Honest Review

Average overpriced cleanser
7 May 2023

This cleanser is a perfect example of why I never jump on trends! I’m so glad I had a sample on hand as this product is average at best. That’s why I kindly gave it 2 stars - it’s not bad, but it’s not great either, especially at that price wow. I don’t like gel cleansers very much , this applies nicely, no foaming as such, sort of a milky rich texture. But I didn’t like the feeling after - you know that squeaky clean feeling, that you skin feels stripped of everything ? Yeah, it does that, not a fan. I have combination oily skin and I wouldn’t recommend this. Maybe if it was much much cheaper, but at this price ? There is better out there. Don’t fall for the big name

Decent for makeup removal, terrible for eyes
2 January 2023

This is good at getting rid of makeup with a small amount of product. My skin feels no worse or less after washing it away compared to other cleansers or water only. My major issue with this however is how extremely irritating it is for the eyes. Forget about using this to clean mascara off. Best case scenario your eyes will be stinging for 10 minutes, worst case I experienced severe irritation overnight and I still had lingering inflammation the next day, even though I applied it away from my eyes. So I just use it to wash the lower half of my face, I don't even risk using it on my forehead lest some of it run near my eye area. As I prefer cleaners that can be used near the eyes I won't be repurchasing.

Ever since I tried Drunk Elephant’s Protini Polypeptide Cream, I’ve been floored. Thus, when I saw the Sephora’s birthday set included a miniature version of this moisturizer and the Beste No.9 Jelly Cleanser, I was so excited to get my hands on it! Without further ado, here is my review of the brand’s face cleanser. The product comes packaged in a cute, white squeezable tube with a neon orange cap. In this version, the cap twists up to release the formula. Although I haven’t faced any issues with this packaging, there have been reports that it does cause a bit of leakage if it isn’t closed back firmly. The full-sized tube however, has a standard flip cap, which should be sturdier. The ingredients and directions for use are printed on the back of the tube In terms of formula, this cleanser was a little different than I expected. Since it has been categorized as a jelly formula, I was surprised to see that the consistency was more like that of a runny gel. The cleanser spreads easily on damp skin, without irritating it. Although it goes on clear, it lathers up slightly to a white solution. If you are used to foaming formulas, you will find that this one lathers up much less as it is free of certain surfactants. It rinses off easily, without leaving a film or residue behind. Although the product has no added fragrances or essentials oils, it does have a faint, fresh scent of melons

Expensive: doesn't do anything yet drying

Cleansers are almost always the cheapest - bore bang for your buck - product sold by brands regardless of how high end or not they are. But this was part of a previous birthday git duo pack from Sephora so I'm just stuck with a very useless cleanser I, at best, will use as a body wash, otherwise I'll finish it up as a hand wash. The ingredients being fragrance free and all kinds of "clean" mean nothing if it leaves my skin gasping for hydration while still being left dirty. Hopefully they reformulate or come out with a new cleanser to match the quality of their other products.

Solid Cleanser, Nothing to Rave About...
8 January 2022

The Good: This is a solid cleanser, I've bought the large size after getting a few samples a while back. I believe it's best suited as a gentle morning cleanser, emphasis on the gentle. This will not give you a deep-pore type of clean feeling by any means. The smell is honestly best comparable to the smell of honeydew melon or cantaloupe, not the artificial kind but the smell of the fresh fruit being sliced. I quite enjoy it and oftentimes tag-a-long the minis (which usually come in DE larger sets) on my travels with my as a morning/day cleanser. For a jelly cleanser, one would usually expect a little bit more hydration. You aren't going to get that. It's not an exaggerated type of drying and it's nothing a little moisturizer or oil doesn't fix which usually come after the cleanser anyways, but it was slightly off-putting to me when I first tried the cleanser a while back. The rests (to me, personally) are nothing to really rave about. When I really love a product I talk about it with friends/family but I can't recall me every mentioning or recommending this to anyone. It's simply not a "memorable" type of cleanser. "Nothing to rave about" so-to-speak.The Ugly/Honest: Even though I have purchased the large size previously, I have not (and will not) be buying it again. I'm fine with only getting the minis in my DE sets and using them for travel. It's not a bad cleanser, but there's so much better out there. I love Drunk Elephant and I can safely say this is not one of their best products by any means.

Very drying
1 May 2023

The ingredients in this cleanser read very good, yet it wouldn't be the first time that a "clean" product has caused issues for my super sensitive skin. I found this cleanser to be very drying. My first clue should have been the tags on the package. "Purifying", "dissolves" and "removes all traces off" aren't words that suggest gentleness. I also have to give props to the Drunk Elephant staff for their honesty. On the box, again, it says they suggest skipping morning cleansing, and I think that's because they know this product is harsh and cannot be used twice a day. All in all, I would only recommend people with oily skin try this cleanser. There's nothing bad in it, it's just more effective than my skin can take it.
