Dumb Ways to Die - Card Game

In exchange for my honest review, #thisisbutterly sent me the newly released board game “Dumb Ways to Die” from #spinmaster. Whatever you might think, it is NEVER a good idea to poke a grizzly bear with a stick. My last of 3 beans, Hapless, died that way, a very dumb death for sure! This game was actually a lot of fun. It seemed complicated at first after reading the directions, but once I watched a U-Tube video, it was actually easy to learn. I loved the holographic cards, the feel and the designs, but the cards were limited and felt like there should have been more. However, 54 cards were sufficient and the game was loads of fun. My family loves it!

A nice addition to my board game collection.

We had a great time at home during our last game night with this board game. After so many years of singing that catchy jingle, and after playing the video game for a while, I am happy to finally add this cool board game to my collection. Funny and entertaining

We enjoyed playing this game! Its funny, in a quirky sort of way lol. It was easy for everyone to get the hang of quickly. Those silly beans certainly make it hard to keep them alive . I had never heard of the viral video this game is based on before, but watched it after getting the game to see what it was all about. All this to talk about railway safety - odd but effective!! This game is definitely going into our rotation for nights when we need a quick light-hearted game to entertain us :)

Great for older kids

On no screen time Sunday, we had my nephew over to play some games. I opened up Dumb Ways to Die for them to pay together at the table, and they had a great time. My daughters and nephew are teenagers and had a riot playing this game. There were lots of giggles in the different ways the beans could die. This kept them occupied for over an hour. It was great to find a game the older kids can play and have fun with without getting bored and wanting to find something else to do. I had lots of time to clean up the house and prepare dinner while they took turns trying to keep their beans alive. Hilarious game based on hilarious videos!

The Dumb Ways to Die Card Game is a lot of fun! We played it with both 2 & 3 people, and I can only imagine it would be even more fun with more players (more chaos ensues, lol). Love the interpretation of the game -- from the rock-paper-scissors take on how to save yourself from an accident, to the no-one-is-safe psycho attack (lol), the variety of ways to interact with other players & the cards is well thought out and very fun. The artwork is adorable (even with all the carnage, lol) and love the animated Bean Cards that show how you lost a life! Definitely not for young kids, so pay attention to the 12+ or you be the judge of if it's appropriate for your kids -- but hopefully even if you're not familiar with the videos, the front cover should give you an idea of ... MoreThe Dumb Ways to Die Card Game is a lot of fun! Reminded me of the stickers I used to collect when I was a kid!Fair warning, some of the death images can be a bit graphic. We played only with adults and discussed how we couldn't see kids 12+ playing this game.I did read up on the history of the game and how it originated as a campaign to ultimately keep people safe. However, this is no where in the booklet, so the card game comes across a bit disjointed. Also, when reading about the game, it repetitively states that this is an adult game, but the age typing is set for 12+. I do feel like this game should only be played by adults and that the age requirement should reflect how the game has been advertised for adults.Overall, the consensus was that although the game was easy to play, the excitement to play it unfortunately goes away quickly.

Our family received the card game Dumb Ways to Die to play from Spinmaster. Our 16 year old was excited as she had played the app version of this game before.At first glance I was a little worried that the instructions (included in box) might be a little too confusing. Our 16 and 8 year old daughters gave the game a try on their own first. They said it was fun but they adjusted the way they played a little bit from the instructions as they were unsure. They asked for us to play with them. I followed along with the instructions while the 4 of us played and was able to sort out what the kids were a little confused on. Itll be coming along on vacation where Ill have 3 pre-teen to teen kids to keep entertained for 3 weeks and this is perfect for that!
