I concur with the other reviews. Won't stick to brickwork, tried using bondcrete, it was still pretty rubbish
Highly not recommended .Yeah nobody 2 it. It's like pushing Around Wet beach sand does not sprend well workability is Poor. only another solid plaster will no what I'm on about. I have 22 years experience solid plastering!!!
Bought a few bags to render blueboards; smooth and easy to apply BUT very poor adhesion and consolidation even after 7 days of curing. It contains acrylic which is supposed to improve adhesion to hard and non-porous substrates since cement can't bleed on non-porous surfaces, and it failed. I ended up adding bonding agents to the mix to improve adhesion. Next time I'd possibly mix sand, lime, cement and bonding agents to achieve my desire quality.
I don't know what people are complaining about this acrylic render! After reading the comments, some obviously haven't read the instructions. When using the render to put all the pvc trims on an outdoor concrete block and limestone block structure I had a dryish mixture which worked fine, but need more work to make it stick. I made the wall render mix as recommended, and found it spread and adhered well. I will admit I was cautious after reading the ratings, and spread thinly at first, and then built up to the desired thickness of 8-10mm between the trim. If you are new try a less important/visible area first. The price point was a major plus!
Quick back story;I rendering my whole 2 story brick home with a traditional mix of sand, cement and lime, and was very happy with how easy it was to apply.I recently had a small project to render, so I decided to try this product.I found that it didn't want to 'stick' to the surface, despite the surface (rough concrete) being prepared properly, and mixing the product as per the directions on the bag.I will not be purchasing this product again.
Works great and plenty of time to work with it before it starts to set. I used it in october. I prefer this product as i can make it as runny or firm as i need..
easy to use great product added color and was very happy with the finish
