A very high quality, durable ball that plays utterly consistently - probably the best out there

This is an excellent, durable and top quality feeling ball. I have always used HEAD ATP Tour and I wold say this Dunlop ATP is a better ball. On contact there is a nice cushioning so you get some extra feel from it and the strings contact. It has proved more durable than the HEAD as I have now played for 6 hours hard hitting on a hard court and there is still some knap and wear left in the balls. The ball has proved to be utterly consistent in quality and out of 12 cans used so far, I have yet to experience a 'dud'. Recommended.

Fantastic balls - retains bounce much longer and improves the game

Coming from Penn Championship, my first reaction was to hate these balls - these were not so fast. While that is true, the bounce is much better - it allows me to get to balls which I would normally miss with Penn. I had longer rallies with my opponents. Normally - the Penn balls are pretty much done after 4 hours of play. These can go 6-8 hours - the felt just looks worn out but the bounce is still there and keep playing nicely. Overall very happy with these balls.

I read all the reviews about this ball, and shame on me for ignoring the warning of how they fluffed up.The Good: It's a soft ball like the Wilson US Open at a decent price. The Bad: All three balls fluffed up big time in warm-ups and became so slow and literally unplayable.Buyer beware!

Give it a chance
1 August 2021

Tennis balls are always a matter of personal preference. I like Wilson US Open Heavy Duty and do not like Penn as much. The Dunlop ball plays "lighter" than the Wilson and is clearly a differently playing ball. Personally I like it and will keep playing it. Extra bonus: Nobody else plays Dunlop in the US, so you can easily identify your ball when it ends up in the neighbors court. I enjoy this ball and we should give this ball a chance. Try it.I play hard court

Good balls, but less fluff & fly more than others
13 September 2020

These balls have less fluff than others (such as Wilson US Open, Head ATP, and Artengo), so it means they do look smaller (circumference wise) and we did notice that they do fly through the air more, which is maybe due to reduced wind resistance (less fluff). This meant that it didn't take spin as much, and went long out of the court more than other balls. This is something I had to adjust to with my topspin game. Durability is good though! As balls go, I wouldn't buy them for the price they are normally sold at (around £7 per tube) but at the sale price of £4/tube they were good. I would recommend other balls such as artengo and Wilson US Open, but the Artengo for the price as they are cheaper are the best. They play like Wilson US Open but without the high price ... MoreThese balls have less fluff than others (such as Wilson US Open, Head ATP, and Artengo), so it means they do look smaller (circumference wise) and we did notice that they do fly through the air more, which is maybe due to reduced wind resistance (less fluff). Light and bouncy!
23 June 2023

The best among Canadian Tire alternatives. I tried the whole variety of Wilson balls but they're too heavy and inconsistent (maybe some manufacturing defect?) These balls are perfect for me because of their relatively light weight and consistent. One drawback is that these wear out easily if you're the type of player who hit hard and generate a lot of spin.

Nothing beats the quality
23 September 2022

I use these balls exclusively because every other player is using the other brand. Do we need to say? The bounce is consistent throughout the use . The felt doesn't bald out as quick. I can get a good 6 sets. Then it's goes to the ball cart for my lessons. And they still last!!!

These balls stay bouncy for a long time
28 October 2022

I'm new to tennis. But my daughter's j. V. Coach gave her a bunch of these last spring and we have been using them for 6 months asking with many other brands we have purchased, including penn tour, the Wilson's in the black cann, penn extra duty, and some white prince balls,.. and these atps, which were used when we got them, stay bouncy the longest.

Very solid tennis ball. They are different (and better) than Dunlop "Championship" series. Seem to hold their pressure well, probably same tier as Wilson US open, but a bit cheaper.

horrible balls in every meaning of the word: way too soft, don't bounce and too puffy
6 October 2021

Given the shortage of Wilson balls over the last several months, I was left with no choice but to try out these balls as they were the only ones available. If I could, I'd give them 0 stars! As a reference point, I am using Wilson US Open Extra Duty, Wilson Championship Extra Duty and Penn Championship Extra Duty. These Dunlop balls are extremely soft (quite strange, given that Dunlop has historically made very hard balls) and the ball effectively does not bounce well after about 30 min of playing. In addition, after a few minutes of play, the balls get extremely puffy. All in all, just a very low quality ball in every meaning of the word, so unless you are buying balls for your dog to chew on, these should not be considered at all.Holabird Sports, as per usual, ... MoreGiven the shortage of Wilson balls over the last several months, I was left with no choice but to try out these balls as they were the only ones available.
