Duralex Provence Tumbler 90ml - Set of 6

The iconic Provence glasses dont need much description. Bombproof, cleanly cut not crystal glass level but then nor is the price and give a pleasing sense of history and heritage in use. However, I dont recommend these for Cortados. The sides get too hot to comfortably lift it when full of coffee. Instead, get the Duralex Picardie, their other, older design. The Picardie is the original Duralex this Provence design came later and does a better job in ever regard, in my opinion. The Picardie has a wide flaring top, which allows you to hold it at a cooler spot and tilt into your mouth. The Provence is great but not for coffee, and I cant think of anything it does better than the Picardie which is the same price and also available here.

Classic Style They Say...

As I hold one of the last surviving pieces from the 1964 purchase my parents made. I see no change in the design, only the ensign on the bottom is different. These are truly Durable Duralex. Used daily for over 40 years in a often referred to by many, "Rambunctious" family of seven and often with guests seated up to 20 at a meal. More often than not each of the missing pieces from the original 4 sets of tumblers were carried off by a "new owner" rather than met with shattered demise. Even the one marked "1" in my hand now has no nicks.

Dull looking coffee glasses

I bought these for coffee, I’m disappointed in their colour, they’re kind of grey/dull looking and gives the impression they’re not good quality, considering where they come from. Time will tell.

Very satisfied. I used the same one before and was looking for it. Very durable and easy to clean. Good and different shape from Latte glass. Cheap price and reliable supplier is plus point:)

Duralex Provence Tumblers 250ml (Pack of 6)

The glasses look good and sturdy but beware, despite the description and even the box stating 50cl volume, they actually only fit 440ml when filled right to the top. Looking at the other reviews, one other customer noticed it too. Ocado, can you please investigate

Nice looking glasses, we bought the little glasses for fruit juice as well as a couple of 6packs of the normal size for water, They arent as stable as we like because the base is small and theres not enough weight near the base of the glass, so if accidentally knocked they will spill. More annoyingly today I dropped one. Instead of a few large pieces with several splintery bits, the whole thing shattered into zillions of bits, many like tiny glass sandpaper, but others chunky, which managed to cover almost all of the dining room carpet, plus 2 chairs. As we have 3 dogs we have had a worrying evening sweeping and vacuuming the floor, and I cut myself, which doesnt happen when clearing up normal broken glass. Disappointed.

I like these glasses and have used the same glasses for breakfast fruit juice for years. I prefer to limit myself to a little sweetened fruit juice rather than unsweetened or artificially sweetened juice so these glasses are perfect for me. Also a good size to help swallow tablets. Ideal too for whisky shots, liqueurs etc. They stack well and dont take up much space. Like any glasses they WILL shatter if dropped or hit with a hard object, so after 20 years I needed a few replacements. Perfect and identical to my exisiting Duralex glasses.

Great size for a piccolo/cortado

I got the 130ml, and they're such a great size for an afternoon piccolo/cortado. These cups have a timeless design and are of excellent quality.As for Alternative brewing, this is the second time I've used them now, and their service was really great. Items were well packaged and communication was clear.

Glasses are not clear, but have a pink tinge through them. Was not stated in the description.We woke up to a glass exploding in the cupboard which left a huge mess. Hopefully no more rude awakenings.Very dissapointing.
