Also like other reviewers have said it does chip, peel and flake in just a few days which my normal nail polish doesn’t do. This by far is the best nail improvement and hardener ever!!! I have used many different kinds like Sally Hansen, Nailtekes, etc. and this product is the best!! My nails were extremely damaged from artificial nail extensions, acrylic nails, etc. My nails were very damaged with ridges and peeling. They were soft and broke off. Anyone that has had artificial nails knows the damage they can cause. I had mine on steadily for over 10 years so my damage was extensive. I started using this in the fall of 2022. Within a month they improved significantly! They are the longest my natural nails have ever been. They are hard and strong. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this product deserves special accolades. Normally I go to a nail salon and have my nails done. My manicurist was the person who recommended this nail strengthening polish to me. I wear gel polish a lot because my natural nails are so thin and brittle. The best product on the market ya'll! NO JOKE!! It really does what it says!! My nails were crap before I started using this product. Always chipping, and peeling. Any length I had would never last due to brittleness. The difference between this and other nail-growth products out there is when this one is removed your nails are left feeling STRONG, and nourished. While others leave your nails feeling weak and brittle after removal. And YES I've tried them all. I liked it so much I spent $45 for the BIG bottle 4 oz bottle. And was happy to do so. I never mind paying good money for something that does exactly what it says. My only regret- I don't have before and after pictures. First I wanna say this product has been a lifesaver for my nails. I bit my nails my entire life (28 years) and any time I would make progress growing them, they would peel and break. Since I started using this, I haven’t had a single break (minus twice which I will detail below for specific reasons). Even when they bent and I felt the familiar “oh god” moment, they held strong. I use it as directed, a few coats a couple times a week. The above photo was about 4 months apart (with some filing down in between). The one you basically have to wear it forever. If you don’t like clear polish, or wearing it under and over regular polish, I almost wouldn’t bother. If I go even a day without wearing this, my nails feel weak. But it’s so refreshing to find something that works and is easy to use. My nails look healthier and are able to grow out a little longer. My nails are an extreme case, but at least I don’t find myself trying to hide my hands as often. I feel that with consistent use my nails will continue to improve, but just the immediate benefits are worth the purchase. I’m grateful for this product and I plan on purchasing it again when I run out.

Been using for 6 weeks and my nails are growing, and stronger then ever. I applied the base coat and the Top coat after a coat of nail polish. The pros. My nails are absolutely growing now. They feel stronger, and do not break so easily. The base coat seems to be the key here. It's the thickening protective base that I needed. The cons. The top coat formula, although it makes nails shiny, does not prevent chipping of polish underneath it. I can add base coat, 2 coats of color polish, and coat of top coat and by the next day, the color on the tips of my nails are chipped off. This product is the absolute worst polish and supposed strengthening product I have ever used. I bought this to strengthen my nails but instead they began breaking, splitting and the nail bed itself even began peeling about a week or so after I began the suggested daily use of this product. My once presentable nails are now brittle and have to stay cut down to the nubs; otherwise, they break at even the slightest growth past the base of my fingers. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT unless you want your nails to be damaged. Luckily my nails will eventually grow back out; however, Amazon should remove this product from its offerings.

Nail Envy came w/ similar instructions, which was to apply every other day weekly. At first I tried using it on my bare nails first, but my nails tore or broke off too easily. I'd use a nail repair kit for all the little tears in my nails, & at one point, had repairs on nearly all my nails. I had to keep them painted to achieve any length & keep them all uniform. I don't keep them long, but I like to have a free edge just long enough that I can wrap the tips without just painting skin. I realize this is not a review for Nail Envy, but it provides context for how I've made these products work for me. After a couple months of doing this, I noticed a considerable difference. I could take my polish off & leave my nails bare for a day or two until I had the time & patience to paint them again. Rejuvacote has many of the same ingredients as Nail Envy, including Formaldehyde Resin & Toluene. These two ingredients are no longer used in common, pigmented nail polish as they were deemed potentially harmful. When polishes say they are "5-free," for example, these two ingredients are on the top of that list, two of the "Big 3." Apply Rejuvacote in a well-ventilated space. Formaldehyde Resin acts as a nail "hardener." (There is a difference between "hardeners" & "strengtheners," & Rejuvacote (& Nail Envy) act as both.) This is why I recommend using Rejuvacote in moderation. You may notice that after applying it, your nails aren't very flexible. Some flexibility is actually a good things as it will help keep your nails from snapping off. In addition, the "hardening" effect is temporary, which is why constant reapplication is recommended. So basically if you want Rejuvacote or Nail Envy to continue working for you, you can't stop using it once it's achieved the desired effect. Since everyone has different body chemistry, I would advise finding a routine that works for you. Personally, I still apply two coats of Nail Envy under my polish each week. Then halfway through the week, I'll apply 1 coat of Rejuvacote. When I take off my polish at the end of the week, I apply 1 coat of Rejuvacote on my bare nails & leave them bare for a couple days. I remove it before I paint my nails again. So I end up applying a hardener 3 times every 9-ish days & I've found this to work for me. I rarely break/tear a nail & all past nail repairs have now grown out. That being said, I did recently have the tip of a nail snap off & this is why don't follow the instructions recommending daily application. I've found that if I apply Rejuvacote too often, I lose all flexibility in my nails. Consistent application of a good cuticle oil will also aid in flexibility when using a hardener. Like many other reviews have have patience. Your nails won't magically change overnight. Whew! Okay. I was caught off guard the first time I used it as the formula is very thin. Because I was used to the thicker Nail Envy formula, I ended up flooding my cuticles. Once I adjusted for the formula, I found it extremely easy to apply. It has a great wide flat brush w/ a rounded tip & the formula is very self leveling & it dries very quickly, within about 5 minutes or so. On the bare nail, I notice that it feels like there's a bit of a film on my nails, but after a couple hours it's completely absorbed & leaves a nice shine. I know I've mentioned Nail Envy a lot & I could probably just use one or the other, but I like Nail Envy as a base coat & prefer Rejuvacote on my bare nails. The "hardening" aspect of Rejuvacote seems to be more severe, which is why I only apply it a couple times a week rather than daily. This particular routine keeps my nails strong, & they are considerably thicker. It does work. Daily application may be a good option at first if you keep your nails bare. But as I've said, once your nails have become noticably stronger, I'd recommend reducing the rate of application. Figure out what works best for you! Hope this helps!
