Dymo LetraTag 100H is my Classroom Helper. I'm able to label my Students Classrooms items and folders for easy identification and sorting. Classroom properety is easily identified. My Teaching Subject Folders, Weekly Sylabus, Monthly Schedules etc are easy to find and identified. The labels are easy to load. Other Teachers in my building have made the investment. I really love the ease of use on this label maker “LetraTag LT-100H”. There are definitely more options I’d like for the font styles.However now my screen isn’t displaying the entire text. It now shows a couple of clear/blank lines running horizontally through the screen. So now I cannot tell what I am typing.Regarding the reviews on the printer jam or print failure, I’ve never encountered that problem and have printed about 4 cartridges worth of labels.Hopefully this is fixable. I am curious about the LetraTag devices that have the larger keyboard or one that hooks up to an app to my iPhone or a program for the Mac Computers. The attached photo is a picture of my display that says “DYMO”. I only am rating it Poor because I cannot use this product any more ... I am pretty sure this was used and returned. I don't know why it wasn't checked. It had no warranty card, thankfully there was a thing of label tape in the package. The instructions are essentially useless, they only tell you how to insert the batteries/tape and how to turn in on and cut the tape. Nothing about any of the settings. It's also supposed to have you pick your language when you first turn it on, which I was unable to do since it was already chosen and there isn't an instruction manual that tells you how to do that.
I just bought 100H from Staples. Box states it comes with a tape. NO tape in the box. The Quick Start Guide is USELESS. The store I purchased it from is 1/2 hour drive. BIG inconvenience not having the tape (as the box states) to try it out. If I have to return it, or go and try and find tapes elsewhere I will return and buy a different brand printer. I wanted to use it for my business. I should have read reviews prior to purchase, but, I figured you were a reliable company. I guess not. False advertising can be the end of companies. I recommend you fix this.
I bought the LetraTag 100H, hoping to label items around the house and become better organized. I am still looking for the multiple font styles it spoke of. We can use different sizes of fonts and borders or make the letters bold or italic. We could have spent a few dollars more and chosen another machine if we'd known. We will be purchasing another brand to get what we're looking for. Because of our excitement, we tossed the box this one came in, and we can't return it. Disappointing when the size of the machine is the best feature for us.
I purchased a Letratag machine several years ago at a big box retailer. I liked the features such as two lines of text on the tape, ease of use and affordable tape in either plastic or paper. Recently the tape cartridges have become more expensive. I used the machine a few days ago, but today the machine will not power up at all today even with fresh batteries which test good. Trouble shooting measures didn’t help. I’ve used about a total of three tape cartridges and feel the machine should have lasted longer.
I've had my dymo Letratag for almost 20 years now. It's always worked great for me. It has been in storage for over a year, I pulled it out today. We hadn't taken the battery out so I was afraid it would be corroded, it wasn't! It wouldn't print though. After looking for troubleshooting, I did two things. First, I cleaned out the insides with brubbing alcohol. The Dymo was only printing half the ink aftee that so we replaced the batteries. It worked! Now my adult daughter is printing labels for everything. I think it's wonderful that she is using something like this that I bought when she was a toddler.I would recommend this label maker for basic label printing.
LetraTag 100H. I bought this unit brand new, 2 1/2 years ago for light use at home. It was pleased with the unit when I was able to see what I was going to print, but now, the screen is completely unreadable except for some really faint jibberish every once in a while. The unit still prints but you cannot see the screen to know what you are printing. The tape is to expensive to print and have to keep reprinting so you can see/correct/adjust what you want the final outcome to be. Very disappointed given the fact the unit is like new and the screen is no good, especially for the amount of $$ I paid for it.
We've had this little machine for about fifteen years. We used it in our small business and even our grandchildren have used it. The only problem we ever had was occasional paper jams. Usually taking the cartridge out, cleaning it and putting it back in will fix it. I would think that is just normal maintenance . Very happy with it.
