It took me a year to finally purchase this after seeing so many mixed reviews. My hair is dry, course, thick, frizzy middle eastern hair. It has a lot of heat damage bc I blow dry it every week. My natural hair is pretty curly. So I didnt think this could be hot enough 2 tackle the frizz. I have to usually blow dry the top layer of my hair immediately out of the shower bc as soon as it starts drying, the frizzy baby hairs r impossible 2 straighten out. I was so surprised by how great this works. I first use the normal blow dry attachment to dry my roots straight, then the round brush or the flatter brush attachment 2 smooth + dry. Only takes 30 min. Hair has never been so soft + silky. I tried the amica round brush before which was too cold and didn’t dry my hair ... I’ve been wearing the blow dry for about a week or week and a half (depending on how greasy it gets over the week), and it’s just stayed beautiful. I’m having way more good hair days then I’ve ever had. I also love the volume I get with this if I use curlers as well because the volume sticks around for even a few days after (when it usually gets totally flat with other hair dryers after sleeping on it for one night). I’m just so in love and got one for my mom for her bday, she loved using mine but couldn’t anymore when I moved and I knew how hard it would be to go back to a normal blow dryer after trying it

Let me tell you, it’s actually worth it. I’m not sure what the negative reviews are about, but I am extremely happy with it. Don’t expect long lasting curls like you would get from a curling iron, I don’t think that is really the purpose of this machine. This is a blowout tool. It has every attachment you could possibly need for a flawless blowout, and it’s actually EASY and FAST! I am a total newbie when it comes to blowdrying and styling because I used to have very thick, very curly hair and followed the curly girl method, only ever using product and air drying or diffusing, but in recent years, my hair has become much less curly and now it’s more frizzy wavy and I find myself wanting to heat style it to make it sleeker. I will be putting my round brush, flat and curling irons away because this is all I need now, and my hair will be much healthier for it. The round brush is excellent at drying and straightening my roots, the curling barrels are incredibly user friendly and give my hair movement and bounce, and the new coanda smoothing attachment on the dryer is incredibly effective. 10 out of 10 no notes, thanks dyson!
Ok I've had the airwrap for a month. Bought it in store. I will start with I love the curl tool, that is the hero attachment for the airwrap. I found it does stay if you do a good blow dry spray/serum before hand and using a cool shot to set the curl then hairspray. It's also incredibly fast to dry so that's also in its favour & lightweight compared to a normal hairdryer. The brush blow out is not completely smooth in my opinion however my hair does look healthy after styling. My biggest disappointment was that the defuser attachment didn't come in my box which I didn't realise until a week or so after purchasing as I was focused on other styles. However I was pretty shocked at the poor service considering how ridiculously expensive this is. I thought it would fully replace my current hair kit, however I'd still need my GHDs for a super sleek look & my trusty old curling wand for really set & stay curls. (for context my hair is naturally wavy & can be frizzy when left naturally or rough dried but brow drys into style really well)So is it worth it for this price? I don't think it is. it should be at least £100 cheaper and the attachments do feel cheap considering the wand itself feels extremely high quality. Dyson need to work on their customer service and price point. I'd suggest buy to try and see how you feel but if you have the patience then sticking with the classics is good too.

They also mentioned about it not holding the curl, but it’s not a hot curling iron, so keep that in mind. It fluffs the hair, puts a light curl in it for extra body, and with hairspray, it holds. I am very happy with my purchase.
