My 16 month old has always loved our regular dyson so I ordered this for him. We got it when he was around 14 months and he was interested but couldn’t handle it perfectly at the time and used the short piece on the canister more than anything. He is 16 months now and can handle it well, pushes the button for suction while moving the long roller piece back and forth. It doesn’t really suction enough to be worthwhile for cleaning and the canister pops open to “empty” very easily so any dirt collected is redistributed throughout my house but he is entertained by it so I don’t mind. The short stick piece directly to the canister does provide better suction but don’t plan on this for cleaning any serious messes. Best buy ever for my 2yo son. Since he could crawl I've had to wait for him to be out of the house before I could do any vacuuming as he'd demand using our Dyson vacuum himself. I finally bought one during lockdown 3.0 and it's been his most favourite toy to date. We now do the "vacuuming together" and he follows me around the house with his vacuum. No, it doesn't have a lot of suction, and it's not as noisy as the actual Dyson vacuum, which although he had a little disappointment over that, I cannot say I did. If it had more suction he would likely create dust piles around the house when he constantly empties the vacuum "bin". Batteries seem to be lasting well in it as well. Very highly recommend this toy.

It’s very cute, but for the price is feels very cheap. I hope my son doesn’t snap it in half right away. Eek. I would have bought it second hand, but I couldn’t find one on Marketplace. It does not pick up anything off the floor. It does make a “vacuum” sound when you hold down the trigger. Hopefully it lasts and keeps my son happy so he doesn’t fight me for the real vacuum anymore. For reference my son is 19 mos old and the size is perfect.

The description said it was a real working vacuum. I had thought it would pick up some items, e.g. I tried kosher salt. The only working part is the colourful balls that move within the vacuum with the power of the batteries. The batteries don’t come with the toy. Your “child’s age” category for the review left out age 25-35 months. My granddaughter was 23 months this Christmas.
My Grandson loves his Dyson. We are a Dyson Family, we all have Dysons even in rental properties. I personally have only ever had Dysons and have 2 now. Left my last at my property I sold they wanted it let there. They are reliable and a great product. Dysons all the way for us
When I first saw this I thought it was so extra. But my daughter has a mini broom and mop that she’s constantly using whenever we clean. I finally decided to purchase this mini dyson and I’m so glad I did! My 3 year old loves it and I almost feel bad I didn’t get it sooner. It’s battery powered and makes a sound like the real vacuum. We vaccum daily so my daughter uses this thing daily as well. initially I thought It was too expensive for a fake vacuum but I think it’s priced well. It also comes with an attachment like the real thing. This toy is pretty cool, I definitely recommend it if you have a toddler who likes to “help” and copy you.
Cute, my baby loves it. A little bitter that the vacuum does not really work. It vacuums maybe a tiny tiny itty bitty micro dust but that's it. I think the makers don't for safety though. Some kids can get it caught in their hair or something.
This toy is so cute! My daughter loves to vacuum, haha. Not necessarily a negative, but there isn’t an on/off switch so you can hold down the trigger whenever and for as long as you want. I wish there was an on/off switch so the battery wouldn’t be used as fast! It’s super cute with no batteries as a silent toy as well!
it's a Christmas gift so the child nor I[ Grandma} have opened it. I hope it has a bit of suction; some reviews say yes , others so absolutely no suction. I'll have to wait and see. I'm sure it's nothing dangerous if there was a mild suction to be more realistic.NOTE...when I giove a review by stars it is totally unrealistic and deceiving. I brought 2 to distract my grandkids who always take over my real vacuum. I thought if I put tiny bits of tissue it would at least pick that up as it says it picks up dust and the pictures show little bits of stuff. They ended up running around with it like it was a joke and then took my vacuum again. Target is great but this product is not
