I love this amazing purifier! It’s a game changer because it’s 3 in 1 ! Like you’re literally saving money if you purchase 3 different units separately! I love it that’s space saving and runs smooth and quietly! Since I purchased this, has help with my stuffiness’s at night! It’s like a heat that’s very comfortable and not like the regular heaters that either get too hot and uncomfortable! The fan also feels nice. This is not AC so don’t expect that. But definitely does what it claims it does. I never love a fan that spins and circulate air with the dust in a house. This uniquely invented together it’s what makes the difference in the air in a home… you can use the heat or fan while cleaning and purifying the air your breathing… ain’t that awesome!!!! I will also purchase the dryer too eventually!

The only reason I purchased this gift on QVC was that it was supposed to come with an extra filter. Around minute 8 of the presentation, the host and the expert brag about the extra filter as the reason to buy from QVC, not other vendors. Even the title of the product on the web site says it includes an EXTRA filter. As a response to one of the 1 star reviews citing a missing extra filter, QVC Customer Service says one filter is preloaded in the unit and the other is in the box. The one I purchased absolutely did not come with the extra filter in the box — period. It will have to go back since it is missing all of the advertised pieces. This is an instance of failed customer service, not of product quality. My mother ordered this for me as a gift. I have some allergy-related nose stuffiness fairly consistently, so I was really excited to set this up and get it cranking and cleaning the air in my house. I opened it and along with the box inadvertently threw out the tiny remote control that apparently comes with the unit. I called Customer Service and explained what happened, and they said they would send me a replacement remote. Several weeks later I haven’t seen or heard a single thing from them. So my unit sits at the lowest setting doing virtually nothing. It’s not that hard. When you say you’ll send a replacement remote, send a replacement remote, and you’ll likely have another very satisfied ... MoreThis is an instance of failed customer service, not of product quality. Dyson has been making bladeless fans for some time now, and as they matured, evolved into devices that also included heat, and in the case of the Dyson Purifier heat+ cool (model hp10), also has added air filtration as well. It’s a mid-sized model, measuring at just barely over 30 inches tall, by just under 10 inches wide and deep, so you can place it on a floor, but also on a shorter table if you need to as well. The power cord is almost 6 feet long. Unfortunately, mine came with no setup instructions or any instructions on how to use the remote. The model wasn’t listed yet on the general Dyson site, but some search engine digging did pull up a PDF user manual for it. I would have loved an old fashioned user manual in the box, even if a basic one. Those who are ... The model wasn’t listed yet on the general Dyson site, but some search engine digging did pull up a PDF user manual for it. I would have loved an old fashioned user manual in the box, even if a basic one. Those who are familiar with this technology by now know that these machines take air, and put simply, “swirl” it around an oval opening, throwing it out into the room it’s in, with no blades or anything kids, pets, or you, can get caught or hurt in while doing so. It’s pretty effective too, throwing the air quite a ways through even larger rooms. You can leave it still (static), or oscillate it by varying degrees so it will turn side-to-side from just a little, all the way up to 350 degrees around and a few settings in-between. You can also tilt the hp10 a bit so it aims straight out into a room, or is tilted up a bit toward the ceiling. The filter which goes in the base area is in two “half moon” shapes, that include a HP-13 level HEPA filter and carbon filters. HP-13 is a step above standard true HEPA filters found in many other home purifiers, and HP-13 filters can capture smaller particles than standard filters – in this case around 0.3 microns or smaller in size, which can include allergens, smoke, industrial emissions, VOCs, and more. Filters are pre-installed and release buttons on each side of the base let you remove it to replace them when needed. How long they last will vary, depending on how dirty your indoor air is, how often you run it, and more factors.Settings and controls are done through a small, white, remote. This remote allows you to of course power the Dyson on and off, adjust the auto on/off for both the fan and heater, set a shutdown timer (1,2,4, or 8 hours), set a night mode so it runs more quietly, and more. Unfortunately, there’s no way to control all functions on the machine itself – only through the remote, so don’t lose it! It is however, magnetic, and you can lay it on top of the Dyson where it will magnetically stick to it until you need it again. A small round screen on the front of the device does allow you to see what it’s doing or, using the remote, see stats on what it’s detecting in the air at the time. You can manually set the fan/heat or allow it to run on auto as well.Overall, I like the Dyson hp10. It’s just a bit bulky/tall for what I like to use, so placement is key so It’s not standing out like a sore thumb in the room. But once it’s cranked up and running, it really does push out a lot of air or heat into the room. So far it’s quiet while running. One thing though, is that when using heat, there doesn’t seem to be a low/med/high control for it – it just runs the heat at full throttle (?) until it reaches the temp you set the thermostat at (or you turn it off manually) – this may not be great for those with older homes that may not be able to handle the full power use of full heat. It’s too soon to see just how much dirt the purifier feature is getting out of the air, but if it’s doing what’s advertised, it should be a good amount since it’s again, a HP-13 level HEPA. Since many studies show indoor pollution can be even higher than outdoor pollution in many homes, having higher quality filters is important these days.I recommend this model, overall. You don’t get the fanciest features on it like WiFi or app support and have to rely on the remote for most functions, which I don’t like, and the lack of printed instructions in the box is another “ugh” to me, but it still does what it advertises it does, and does it well, with my one real beef perhaps that you can’t seem to control how hot the heat is coming out – only when it turns off via manual or auto choices.
The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 provides the iconic design and engineering you would expect in a Dyson purifier, but minus the app control and integration. Personally, I prefer standalone devices so the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 is perfect. The Hot+Cool Gen1 is only about 30” high and 10” in diameter, offering a relatively compact yet capable purifier with ability to heat or cool your space as the HEPA H13 fully sealed filter removes 99.97” of particles. The filter is good for an entire year and also features a carbon layer able to capture harmful VOCs and gases, further reducing indoor air pollution. The included remote provides full control of the unit while the display provides realtime feedback such as air pollutants, temperature, fan speed, oscillation, and even filter life. Like other Dyson purifiers, the HP10 has on-board air sensors to not only detect and display pollutants in realtime but can automatically adjust fan speed to optimize operation. I really like how heat is integrated into the HP10, able to provide room filling heat. The heater function can be enabled and adjusted easily with the remote, allowing you to easily specify a target temperature and the HP10 will run the heat function accordingly. It seems to provide ample heat for an average bedroom but could also be used to supplement heat for a larger space while purifying the air in the process. The only negative is the cost, but Dyson products offer better design and have generally lasted much longer than their cheaper counterparts in my experience. For many people, the app is either rarely used or not desired making this a great choice if you are looking for a quality, standalone smart purifier and heater in the Dyson ecosystem.
Maybe we were looking into the wrong product, we wanted a space heater for a room just to take the chill off. Well, this doesn't really do that very well compared to our $50 hardware store heaters, and this cost 8 times more! And the more I looked at it once it arrived and researched, I'm not sure what it wants to be. The fan is terrible, it barely blows, the heat is not great, it has an air purifier with a nice display I guess but probably too small to purify anything but a closet space? and ok.. it has an unusual look. But for us this is more style(?) I guess than utility. If you want to stay cold for that price and look at it, maybe it works for you. Dyson are good people, it's just this product maybe has an identity crisis, and a high-priced one.
My apartment doesn't have central heat, only baseboard heating or a fireplace. I love a good fire, but for those days where it isn't quite cold enough to need to start one, but still chilly where I want some warmth, this Dyson is a great choice. This is the lowest model in the heating & cooling range, so it's lacking some features compared to the other one. Most notably WiFi, and the ability to connect to the Dyson app. I have other Dyson fans that do connect so I'm familiar with both sides of this. It isn't really necessary to get that one just for the app with one exception. The app lets you drag on a 350* circle where you want the fan to point, and it will slowly rotate to that spot. Without the app, you have to either manually turn it, or turn on the oscillation and then wait for it to land where you want and turn off the oscillation. Not a big deal if I'm honest, but it is 10x easier to use the app for that, though the physical remote works just fine. The display shows good info, though I wish when the PPM display would "alert" due to cooking or a candle, etc. that it would go back to the temp display. I much prefer to have that showing than the air contaminates, it's a constant back and forth, but this isn't unique to this model, they all do it. I'm surprised to see that this one doesn't measure humidity, must be part of the cost cutting.Like any other Dyson fan, they're silent up until you hit 7/10 on the speed, then they sound like any other fan, I normally keep it lower just to keep the noise down. The heating element works great, it can warm up my 400 sq ft living room in about 20 minutes to a comfortable no longer chilly level.I'm very happy with this, I know it will help keep me warm during the upcoming winter when I'm not in the mood for starting a fire.
Didn't realize I was mostly getting an air purifier with a fan and a little heat. My brother has a couple of small little space heaters ($50-$100) and they do a fine job heating up his much bigger area. So when I invested in the $500 one to use to heat my much smaller area I had big expectations. The issue is it just never warmed anything up. If I put my face right up to it I can feel some heat emanating but nothing in the room and the higher I increase the fan power it just blows lukewarm/cool air on me. I actually got colder using it.I'm surprised people said this could heat up a room. I have it on max heat and the temp. reading hasn't change at all in over an hour. Again, my space is not that big. I'm contemplating picking up the non-air purifier version just to see if there is any difference or maybe I just got a busted one.
Usually I am not a big fan of multiple devices in one machine. Usually 1 of the 3 gives out and makes the whole thing useless. Dyson just makes such clean devices and the extended 2 year warranty puts my mind a little more at ease. Its still early trying this new Gen 1 Hot + Cold air purifier. So far it seems like a keeper. Recently temps went back up for a bit of Indian Summer this fall here in Ohio. We did have two 40 degree days to try the heater and its a very pleasant warmth coming out the fan vent. The heat is not overly hot to worry too much about things close by being in danger (do be aware though). Plenty warm to quickly take the chill out of the air. It might not be enough if you have high vaulted ceilings or larger rooms without continuous running. It ... MoreUsually I am not a big fan of multiple devices in one machine. It might not be enough if you have high vaulted ceilings or larger rooms without continuous running. It does tip back on its stand so you can angle air up to get a little help from a ceiling fan to distribute that heat even quicker. The remote and digital display are extremely easy to see, understand and set. Ten fan speeds to get the amount of air or quite fan breeze for any situation. Big plus is the varied option to oscillate nearly (45/90/180/350 degree) full circle is very nice if you have the ability to place near the center of a room. I have yet to see it try to clean the air in our house as hard as another air cleaner we have. But, we did place this air purifier farther from the kitchen that is a bigger source for pollutants in our house.I think this will be great to offset shoulder seasons before running A/C or Furnace for those in parts of the country that have those days where you just need a bit of cooling or heating to take the edge off. Plus just letting it run on auto (usually low fan and very quiet) to keep smells and air quality at its peak of cleanliness is a no brainer we could all use. It will quickly offset its higher price tag everyday you don't need to run A/C or a furnace. One last note. The air filter looks to rated for about a year. This will depend on your house/air quality. Just use your vacuum to clean the filter pleats occasionally to help extend the filter life before replacement becomes necessary.
The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 is a stunning addition to any room (even if color clashing). This is not my first Dyson product, having a vacuum and hairdryer, and I have always had interest in their fan technology since release. The Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 makes the wait well worth it. Being equipped as a year-round purifier with the ability to both heat or cool a room is next level. Unboxing the HP10 was quick. The product is already in one piece with the 2-180 degree filters attached. There is a simplistic sticker showing product start (plug in and hit power) and from there you are able to simply control the fan with the included remote. Using a HEPA filter, purification is efficient and reliable. This device does not filter formaldehyde (but I can’t imagine why the general public would be concerned of this). There is a continuous sensor that measures air quality, with adjustment/circulation based on quality. The air quality is displayed on the LCD screen clearly, with a toggle to make this a 24-hr graph or based on particle. There is also a filter life screen that will alert when time to replace filter (reportedly, have not seen for myself the alert). The initial testing of this product was in a room with a purifier already on and the air quality matched between devices. The purifier noted a change after cooking and adjusted as indicated with improvement of quality back to baseline. Overall, a more than adequate purifier device with the Dyson touch.Hot+Cool - The heating and cooling aspect of this devices makes it for me. Of course, a purifier is nice but an elite bladeless fan/heater? Remarkable. The device will stand still or rotate. The rotate function is either 45, 90, 180, or 350 degrees. This is the first fan/heat device I have ever seen rotate over 270 degrees. But this device just spins almost all the way around, making a center of the room placement insanely efficient. The fan has 10-speed adjustments with 1 being very mild and present while 10 is markedly noticeable, reminiscent of an island breeze from 5-7 feet away. The cool setting does a solid job at cooling through the speed of the fan. The heat setting is impressive, heating the room over my air-conditioner (which I know was a silly test, but I wanted to know). It does not feel super warm coming from the device, but it is consistent and effective. Being able to toggle between these is the most impressive aspect for myself, just solidifying the efficiency of being a dual device. All in all, this device is an investment in sleek purifying heating and cooling technology. A splendid Dyson.
