I explained to them that the screen started acting up until it was always blank. Then the whole machine died after explaining multiple times on several different occasions that my machine was under a year old and still under warranty. I asked for a refund, and he stated I could not. That is only the first 30 days. This machine cost $540; it was not a cheap one. I then asked if another style or version of the vacuum could be sent he also said no. I asked for a supervisor, and he told me no, that they have the same options. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Buy from a different company and save yourself the Hassel.

The collection bin can be dumped in a trash can without a mess. Finally, the click Lio battery can be interchanged with a fresh battery and continue vacuuming without unscrewing 3 fasteners. Sufficient attachments.Cons:This is a heavy vacuum. If you have Carpal tunnel, Ganglion cyst or any other injury, your wrist will hurt/throb after a short time of vacuuming. I mention this because Dyson still uses the same type of trigger on/off switch as used in previous models which is fatiguing. This is a poor design that requires constant pressure to keep the vacuum operating.Dyson should consider an immediate design change and use an industry standard click for on and click for off switch.I hope this information provided assists in deciding if the V15 is right for you.

I would ideally have a broom cupboard with a power outlet but have had to hang it on the wall in the spare room as I don't really want it out hanging in the main house unnecessarily. The machine is fairly bulky so needs a decent bit of space. It would also be nice to have a lock on functionality on the trigger, it would make things a bit easier given the weight of the device.Overall, I'm very happy with it. I enjoy vacuuming more now as it is so much less hassle than a corded vacuum and I find I don't actually need a super long battery life as I'm in a single storey home. It's so handy to be able to just quickly spot vacuum up when the dogs bring in some dirt or leaves!

Heavy and flimsy
24 September 2024

Well, i was excited to get this but had to wait until we had house reno completed to open it up. So unfortunately can't return it, now that I realize how much that I hate it.As for the way it works and sucks up dirt, 4 starts. I've seen better. Now for some of the reasons it "sucks" in a not so good way.First of all, it is Heavy. Top heavy and overall heavy. After awhile, I have to use 2 hands to hold it up. If you have arthritis or carpal tunnel, be warned. The demo on tv made it look super light and easy but she must have strong hands.Second, I am NOT drilling holes in my wall to hang this. There should be a dock or something with it. Guess I'll just lean it in a corner. Ugh.Thirdly, changing out the attachments is awkward, especially if you are short ... MoreWell, i was excited to get this but had to wait until we had house reno completed to open it up. Ugh.Thirdly, changing out the attachments is awkward, especially if you are short (I'm 5' 2") and difficult to get up under to reach. Not to mention all the dirt that falls out and puffs everywhere when you do change an attachment.Fourthly, what a mess to empty. Dirt and debris get up in there and has to be dug out of this little hole. Like, what??I'm sure there are other annoying things about it but I can't think of them at the moment. It's been awhile since I used it so I forget all the reasons that I hate it. I just usually go back to my regular old Shark. Speaking of, I wish I'd waited and bought the similar style Shark that was the TSV last week. Same crummy design but at least it had a docking station that empties the debris so the rest could be overlooked.

Horrible experience

Do yourself a favor and buy a Shark for a quarter of the price!First off, I would like to thank QVC for great customer service.I had a horrible experience with this vacuum and Dyson customer service. I ordered this product and was very excited to get a Dyson. Several of my friends love their Dyson and I heard they are worth the investment. When I received the vacuum, I set it up and charged the battery as instructed. Eager to clean, I started to vacuum the hard wood area of my house. The vacuum started initially and then the brush bar stopped spinning a short time after. I went thru all of the trouble shooting steps, including trying the attachments connected directly to the bin (without the wand). The vacuum started initially and then the brush bar stopped spinning a short time after. I went thru all of the trouble shooting steps, including trying the attachments connected directly to the bin (without the wand). For the record, the mini motorized cleaning head did the same thing when attached to both the wand and the bin. I also tried on the carpeted area of my home with the same result. After initially contacting support via chat, I called Dyson customer service and was on hold for 45 minutes. Once connected to an agent, I literally repeated myself and explained the problem at least a dozen times (not exaggerating). They sent a link to do a video chat, so that they could witness what the vacuum was doing. After some additional long holds, I was told the main unit needed to be replaced. However, the part was currently out of stock. Since Dyson did not have Dyson parts, they went on to explain that I would receive an email when the part is back in stock and need to call back at that time to order the replacement. After being on the phone for nearly two hours, I requested another solution, as I cannot spend more of my life on the phone trying to get a functioning vacuum. There were no supervisors available. So, the agent offered to send a return label so that I can send the vacuum back and receive a replacement. I agreed to the plan. I threw the packaging away so I was given a confirmation number to provide to a courier company. The courier had absolutely no record of the confirmation number and was not able to help with the return. Terrible customer service, Dyson!

I’m really just so frustrated I finally bite on a Dyson vacuum TSV, open it up when it gets here only to discover that little button on top of the vacuum to choose your settings is broken. It doesn’t tell me charging information, nothing. Go to QVC to try to exchange, but I only get an option to return and I have to pay to send this defective vacuum back? That’s ridiculous. I contacted Dyson, and they’re willing to replace it through the warranty (funny, first day I bought it), however they didn’t forget to inform me it could take 14 *business * days to process and ship out my new vacuum. Great. Nothing like paying $400 for a vacuum cleaner, and then having to wait nearly a month to get the defective thing replaced with one that actually works, like I *should * have ... MoreI’m really just so frustrated I finally bite on a Dyson vacuum TSV, open it up when it gets here only to discover that little button on top of the vacuum to choose your settings is broken. It’s really not a good first impression of Dyson, after having great Shark and Eureka vacuums all my life. Never received one of them broken. I can’t confidently review the performance of the vacuum because I don’t know if it’s working right. The red button you push in doesn’t push in all the way and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to or not seeing as how other parts aren’t working. It does run, and it did a great job at picking up the dirt in my area rug, but I won’t be happy about this until I have a perfectly working vacuum in my home.

Disclaimer - bought an Outsize Plus but review link brings me to review the V11 Absolute?... Anyway, the Outsize Plus machine is phenomenal, and validates my decision to return a non-Dyson version and just pony up the money for the real thing. It's worth it for what you get. I was doubtful I could TRULY replace my "real" vacuum, but I'm convinced she's officially in retirement and need to rehome her. The head size and bin capacity on this are all I need. Time will tell if I need to invest in a spare battery but I think if I stay on top of cleaning, I can live with the one battery and get the whole house done. The low reach adapter is a game changer. However, will echo concerns of others. My first order was lost in shipping and it required two interactions with customer service to resolve. First interaction was frustrating, as it took a lot of effort to get past canned responses and the issue to be understood. Was ultimately promised a replacement would be shipped and I'd receive confirmation within 48 hours. Never happened, so then I was extra frustrated and dreading a do-over. Second attempt was totally smooth, though. Quick understanding of the issue, replacement confirmation and tracking emails received within a few hours and delivered a few days later. Just hope yours ships without incident. At the end of the day, I got what I ordered and Dyson was offering the best price I could find at the time, so no regrets.

The attachments that came with the machine are helpful, especially the one that allows the motor head to lay flat to reach under furniture. The red lever to open and empty the dirt cup is so awkward, I'm always afraid that I'm going to break it trying to open it. More than half the accessories are out of stock, even the basic filters. I purchased the attachment to use for cleaning ceiling fans from a seller on eBay. I also bought a new dirt cup for my old V10 from this seller after waiting almost a year for Dyson to fail to restock it. There are youtube videos that walk you through how to deep clean the various parts following Dyson recommendations which are more helpful than just the printed pictures from Dyson. I think it's really helpful if you can find somewhere to actually try the vacuum in person before buying on line. The vacuums are well made but quirky.

We Love Our Dyson
24 May 2024

Bought off Amazon when on a great sale. With Amazon’s great return policy I figured if the vacuum was exceptional for the price I could just send it back and be done. Honestly though, we love it. The cordless factor means it’s less of a chore to vacuum and worry about putting the Dyson Ball vacuum up. We’ve only used our plug in vacuum once since buying this outsize cordless and it was because I was doing some home renovation and didn’t want to fill up our outlast with drywall pieces and dust. It last us our entire house and still have battery to spare on the automatic mode. Never have seen the need to use the super high or extra power option it has. A mix of hardwood and carpets, and rugs it does it all pretty effortlessly. Having pets and a wife with long hair I ... MoreBought off Amazon when on a great sale. A mix of hardwood and carpets, and rugs it does it all pretty effortlessly. Having pets and a wife with long hair I love the tangle free brush on the hand and floor attachments. Really is just one of the best purchases I’ve made.Only downside would be the automatic mode. If the dust container or debris container senses it’s full the vacuum shuts down. That really isn’t a bad thing most of the time. However if you are moving it around up down to get ceilings and or flat under chairs it will move the debris in the container and think it’s full when it’s not. Bit of a pain but not the worst and not always an issue. That’s the only reason for the 4 stars over 5.Otherwise, due to the ease of just grabbing it up off the charger and vacuuming for a few minutes, our home has never been cleaner. That’s just the truth. Really, can you put a price on something that has effectively bettered your life and lessened the amount of life you spend doing chores? Life and time spent is priceless so think about that when paying the price of any Dyson product. The quality speaks for itself I believe. They are sought after for a reason. The marketplace weeds out the lesser than stellar products and the ones remaining still priced above the competition are priced that way for a reason.Other than a sale price off Amazon, this review is not bought and paid for. Don’t often leave reviews not spend the time to give such a lengthy one. Take that for what it’s worth.

[Rewarded Review] Super convenient for quick jobs!
17 June 2023

I have several Dyson products, all of which I am very happy with, so I was very excited to use this cordless vacuum, being tired to having to plug/unplug my corded Dyson vacuum. What I like about this vacuum is that it is so much quieter! It still sounds like I am in an airport hangar, but that is true for all my Dyson hair styling products as well, and is completely acceptable. It is very easy to maneuver this vacuum around bed posts and chair legs without having to move them; the head of the vacuum swivels very easily and well. The convenience of having a display of how much running battery time I have left is also very useful, and being able to switch to "Eco" mode is also such a great feature, as I find that with so many battery powered appliances that running ... MoreI have several Dyson products, all of which I am very happy with, so I was very excited to use this cordless vacuum, being tired to having to plug/unplug my corded Dyson vacuum. It is very easy to maneuver this vacuum around bed posts and chair legs without having to move them; the head of the vacuum swivels very easily and well. The convenience of having a display of how much running battery time I have left is also very useful, and being able to switch to "Eco" mode is also such a great feature, as I find that with so many battery powered appliances that running out of power is a huge inconvenience. I also really appreciate how one can attach the different nozzle types to either the end of the longer main rod or directly under the clear receptacle, as this opens up the vacuum's use to not only main floor cleaning but stairs, crevices of my closet, in between furniture, cushions, and countertops or tabletops. Now for what made me give only 4/5 stars: while the convenience of having this convert to a smaller handheld unit, the problem is that it gets really, really heavy to use it like this for an extended period of time. I wanted to go over the baseboards of my walls but my hand and arm got so tired as it is really heavy after a while. Thus, I have to take frequent breaks-and my arms are quite strong so it isn't due to a lack of strength! So the convenience of the handheld vacuum option is, in my opinion, outweighed by the sheer weight of the product. Also, I found that on some surfaces the vacuum just wouldn't operate-for example, it worked really well on one of my entry rugs but just wouldn't budge on the other (and it isn't a deep shag or anything), and it also refused to work on my kitchen sink mat that is one of those spongey ones. Finally, it is top-heavy so unless you perch it carefully in a corner or on the included wall rack it will fall over. When I am vacuuming and have to suddenly put the vacuum down I can't just leave it but have to carefully prop it up somewhere or lay it down on the ground. Small inconveniences, but I thought I would be completely thorough with my experience. Those were my only three issues with the vacuum. All in all, it is a great helpful addition to our family of cleaning appliances and I will reach for it often for quick and short cleaning jobs. For longer jobs I will probably pull out the corded vacuum. I would definitely recommend it as an additional vacuum for those consumers who want something quick and easy to just pull out and use that is easier to use than a big corded vacuum but something more substantial that a tiny handheld.
