The combination of a purifier and good quality fan is a real bonus for the warmer months.I’d love to be able to track the pollution data in an app and see how it changes over the year - it’d be great to utilise the data to see how summer with windows open and pollen changes the air quality vs winter with heating on etc.All Dyson products are expensive but this is a great item, that looks smart and functions well, and if it lasts as long as our AM07 will be good value.

I struggled for a while to decide whether or not to buy this fan/purifier as there were very mixed reviews on the internet. Some people were saying it was fantastic, with one review describing it as the 'Ferrari of fans'. Others were not so complementary as you'll see below, with people describing it as overpriced and useless. Let's address the first point - yes, it is expensive, there is no getting away from that. On the second point, I think it's a fantastic device if you set your expectations at the right level. A lot of people seem to be angry that it doesn't reduce the temperature of a room, which you should not expect it to as it is not A/C. If you are looking for room cooling or A/C type of results, this isn't the product for you; I personally decided against ... On the second point, I think it's a fantastic device if you set your expectations at the right level. A lot of people seem to be angry that it doesn't reduce the temperature of a room, which you should not expect it to as it is not A/C. If you are looking for room cooling or A/C type of results, this isn't the product for you; I personally decided against A/C due to the cost of running it and the fact I didn't want a pipe hanging out of my window. What this is, is a very good fan that does a good job of keeping you cool.I live in a modern property that seems to trap heat and during our recent heatwave, I was able to enjoy mostly uninterrupted sleep thanks to the fan, that I felt was incredibly effective at keeping me cool, at least up until about 28c+ weather where it is still worthwhile but becomes a little less effective, due to the fact it can't actively cool. A lot of people seem to complain about the noise but I've had it as high as level 5 during the heat and was able to get to sleep quite quickly, this all comes down to your tolerance to noise whilst sleeping (I don't like noise whilst sleeping but this is just an ambient blowing sound and I found it fine). I suffer quite badly from allergies and have found since I've had this device, my sinus pain has been much better, so I think the purifying element is fantastic too.In summary, it's probably the best fan you could buy, but don't expect it to make your room chilly. I'm able to give it 5* as I bought it knowing what to expect and it's met those expectations, I understand why you'd be disappointed if you expected active cooling, like with A/C. I would suggest taking advantage of the generous period Dyson allows for you to return the device, to see if it works well for you. Stuff like noise tolerance is personal and whilst I acknowledge it's not as good as A/C, for what I wanted it's the next best thing. I'll probably pick up the tower fan for my living room one they come back in stock.

I got this during the heatwave and I as I have a illness where one of the symptoms causes me to struggle to regulate my body temp. I’d researched different fans on the market but always came back to this one. It has a remote which means I’m not having to get out of bed each time at night to change the modes. You’d be surprised how quiet it is! There is a sleep mode function which drops the level down however I have it on full whack and I can fall asleep to that (I’m a light sleeper and usually struggle with fans). You can change it to just purifying the air or cooling and purifying. Using the remote you can switch to see different info on the screen, it’s great seeing how the filter works in my bedroom, I live next to a busy bridge and a railway so I get a lot of ... It is pricier than regular fans but it does cool you more than a regular fan I feel, it keeps your air nice and fresh, and the size of it means your room is cooled down quickly. It’s quiet so I sometimes forget it’s even on. And it comes with a remote so you can control it from your bed or sofa! What’s not to love?
Have used the fan everyday since the heatwave and it’s not very powerful and quite loud when on full speed. You have to have the fan less than three meters away from you otherwise you can’t feel the cold air. I bought this one as it’s designed for large rooms but can’t handle a distance of more than two meters without losing its effectiveness.I take it from room to room and have to have the fan virtually touching the bottom of the bed frame if you want to feel cold air.I live in a main road with lots of traffic and have flowers and large garden to the rear, the air purifier has never changed for air quality so think it’s a gimmick that’s not worth buying into the product forI would recommend saving your money and getting an air conditioning unit to have ... Bought this as we were not getting much air movement into a middle room we sleep in. It’s made a world of difference, set on the lowest fan setting on night mode we placed the fan on the landing facing the open bedroom door. It now feels like a window is open with a gentle breeze coming in, no more stuffy stale air, the air feels fresh and clean. The fan makes very little noise and is not disturbing in any way at night. By day we use it to clean and move air about the house no matter what the temperature. It’s an expensive fan, no doubt about that, but you can clearly see they paid attention to the detail and features. Auto mode works well so we tend to leave it on all day to do its thing. The display is useful and interesting to see. The fan is not super powerful, I don’t want to be blasted away, I want to feel a gentle breeze and it does that well. Not used the fan in hot weather so can’t comment. It’s not an air con unit so will just move the hot air about, if you want cold air then air conditioning is the only way. However it’s not perfect, the included instructions are vague in places and don’t cover everything the fan can do, the remote could be better for labels and feel as it is not easy to see the symbols without glasses and smooth buttons don’t help at night if your using them by feel. Would I get another one, yes, it’s expensive and you can see why.
Having owned several dyson vacuum cleaners over the past 7 years and bearing in mind that I just bought a Dyson v15 at top dollar just last month. I naturally thought to myself that they make excellent vacuum cleaners despite the overpriced price tag that their Air Purifier/fan would be equally good, if not better.Well, I was very wrong. After buying two of their Air Purifying fans (TP07 models) in the white and Nickle. I found that all the hype in their informational videos, ads, and website was exactly that, hype! This talk about circular air flow, sucking in the toxic gases and clean air, was non-existent. In fact, when the fan is set to its highest setting, you only get a gentle breeze that only infuriates you. Indeed, a cheap $20 fan has better air flow than this fan.If you are a pedantic individual, then you will appreciate this more as an art piece rather than its intended purpose of being an air purifier. It is very fragile. Hence, if you have young children, then the likelihood of damage occurring is high. The unit is very light and unstable. It comes with a fancy air quality indicator, however, it appears not to work even when fly spray is used, giving a normal indicator reading. In conclusion, Dyson should stick to making vacuums at an affordable price. And, they should leave making air purifiers and fans to other well-known companies that have been making them well before Dyson.
After a week of use this air purifier/cooling fan has proven itself to be superb at the basics of moving air and filtering/purifying but what turns this into an exceptional product is what I have found to be the combination of function, complexity made simple and controllability. At its most basic the machine moves phenomenal quantities of air quietly and efficiently. The filtration works very well indeed, if my relief from tree pollen hayfever over the last week is anything to go by.The thought and design that has clearly gone into this Purifier Cool starts with the notably recyclable packaging, which incidentally had protected it from the couriers best attempts to damage it! Although the outer box was punctured everything inside was well protected and undamaged ... The filtration works very well indeed, if my relief from tree pollen hayfever over the last week is anything to go by.The thought and design that has clearly gone into this Purifier Cool starts with the notably recyclable packaging, which incidentally had protected it from the couriers best attempts to damage it! Although the outer box was punctured everything inside was well protected and undamaged It was very easy to unpack and set up, only requiring two filters to be fitted, downloading an app and connecting. A simple and well thought out setup instruction leaflet a bit bigger than a single side of A4 that contained both text and pictures was very helpful, particularly for someone who doesn't like ploughing through lengthy manuals! The software installation and setup was simple, quick and on the IOS version I was using, faultless. It was a bit of a shock when I first sat down 5 metres away from the Purifier to find that even on a quiet fan setting 3 (of 10) I could feel a cooling breeze. Even better was when I discovered whilst exploring the app that I could very easily remotely adjust the direction of the fan rather than having to go to the fan and move it manually by trial and error. This example is representative of how easy it is to to control the Purifier with the app and how much thought has gone into the product. If you are using the Purifier for just purification there is a helpful auto setting that makes use of the exceptionally wide range of sensors and adjusts the fan speed accordingly.Whilst on the subject of sensors, if you want to know how good the air quality is in your home then this machine covers pretty much everything that is likely to be of concern in most homes and goes well beyond anything I have seen before. As it has a carbon HEPA filter I believe it can deal with most, if not all of the pollutants the sensors detect.Through the app you can set up voice control using Siri or Alexa and also schedule when the Purifier operates. I haven't used either of these functions but it was nice to discover they were available.I have found the app so easy to use it is highly unlikely that I will use the small remote control that comes with the machine very often and usefully attaches magnetically to the top of the 'magnifier loop'. From previous experience I know this helps to cut down significantly on those "where is the remote" moments. The Purifier does have a small screen on which you can access information but I found it far easier to use the excellent app. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but in our view we found the somewhat futuristic design fits in well in many spaces because of its tall slim design. In a more modern interior decor it is a good looking piece of tech that wouldn't need hiding away. In older style rooms, being controlled from a phone using wireless technology there is no need to have line of sight for an infra red remote which means you can place the Purifier where only the slim upper half (magnifier loop) can be seen.It was good to see that Dyson have retained the Night Mode that pushes air in a more diffuse way out of the back of magnifier loop, meaning you can use it in a bedroom overnight without excessive drafts or noise disturbing your sleep whilst still purifying the air. I have used this function on a previous purifier model and found it to be very useful.
I already own 3 Dyson fans but this Purifier Cool Autoreact is the best yet. I cannot express my gratitude enough with how effortlessly this fan has been able to help me regulate my menopausal symptoms. The indoor temperature and humidity features are incredibly useful but the 4 different oscillation angles and silent night mode are game changers for me. This allows me to focus the cool air on my side of the bed and the smooth, quiet night mode does not disturb anyone's sleep at all. In fact, this fan is 20% quieter than my other Dyson Tower fan. The Autoreact purifier function is incredibly convenient as the fan automatically analyses and purifies the indoor air quality and particles, giving me peace of mind for my allergies. The pros far outweigh the cons and because this Purifier has so many beneficial functions, I can easily give it an excellent product rating.Pro's = Easy carry handles on the box and easy folding packaging for recycling.= Easy to register this product on the Dyson's website= Very easy to access and navigate instructions with set up help videos readily available= 9 Useful and easy to understand features= Control is easy to use and the display panel very easy to read= Filter life feature lets you know when to change filters= Could be a real benefit for menopausal womenCons = Replacement filter shrouds needed so a hidden cost= The set up help videos did not work on my mobile phone (only the sound played)= The bi-directional air flow is much weaker and only blows out the top half when on reverse
I was extremely disappointed with the efficacy of this product. I had high hopes that the Dyson fan would match the high quality of the other Dyson products I've purchased but I was sorely disappointed.Even on the maximum setting this fan barely does anything to circulate cool air around the room. It was in no way able to cope with the recent high temperatures we've experienced and it barely had any cooling effect on a moderately warm day. The only useful feature I can identify is the timer mode but this isn't really worth the expense of this product. In the end, I reverted back to using my desk fan which cost a fraction of the price and had a much more effective cooling capability.I purchased the fan based on my previous positive experience with Dyson products ... Having used the product for a number of weeks now, I honestly can't understand how it could have received such glowing reviews. I would certainly will not be recommending this product to friends or family.
