Dyson V8 Absolute - Vacuum Cleaner - Stick - Bagless

I bought this to replace a similar model that was showing sign of old age .The anti tangle foot is brilliant for me. Being a dressmaker I create a lot of threads . It's perfect as they don't wrap around the foot .Accessories easy to attach and easy to empty bin.Would give 5 stars if there was slightly more battery time . It's not a deal breaker bit would be helpful.Would recommend both the product and the company purchased from .

This isn’t a vacuum… this has replaced so many different tools I used to clean and, above all, my favorite part, as new apartments can come some lingering bugs, I take the head off and can stay far enough away and still catch and dump the creepy-crawlies. It is my new bug killing machine. As I said, I could write a novel about how much I love this Dyson. It was worth every penny.

Best Handheld Cordless Vac EVER

I have had several models of the Dyson Absolute, including V6, V8, V10, V11. The V8 is better than the V6, and I can't stand the V10 & 11 because of the cumbersome design that doesn't even stand up straight when placed on the floor. The V8 is mighty and does it all! The batteries wear out after a few years of daily use, but you can get replacement batteries and parts on the company website. I have rebuilt all of my Dyson V8s and my D6 several times. Super easy, inexpensive, and no need to get a new vacuum...disposing of old vacuums only adds to landfill waste and utilizes electronic recycling for motors and batteries. I have two for outside (V6 & V8) to clean up after my goats and vacuuming the patio, and a V8 in the house for home and vehicles. I have purchased V8's for several friends and family, and they all love their vacuums. It is a pain(ish) to wrap a small bag around the bottom of the container when emptying the dust, and that is why Dyson changed the design starting with the V10 model, but I still prefer the V8. It's smaller, easier to use, and is a stellar vacuum.

Dirt falls out of bin

I bought a v8 absolute and when the bin was under half full and I stood it upright the dirt just fell straight back out. The flap that's meant to keep it in is too small.Dyson sent me a new bin and of course the dirt fell out again.The machine itself is only 4 months old and now Dyson want me to send the whole machine back for a service. To me that would be a complete waste of time I don't have, the falt is in the design. The v8 absolute is a waste of money and I think I've been ripped off by dysons over priced products. Dysons customer service team tried to up sell me,they offered me a new much more expensive machine with a discount, but no refund on the $600 machine I bought only 4 months earlier. Powerful stick Vacuum.

I’d been looking at this type of vacuum cleaner for a while, the price and easy pay made it possible for me to finally make the decision to purchase.Well it arrived in 2 days, I’m really impressed with the cleaning power. I did make an error on my first use I set it on max which drained the bin in 20 minutes, so I recharged and have been very happy using it since on normal to get the most from the battery life. I am keeping it with the power set on the charge, I do love the ease of use, even taking it upstairs it’s not a problem for me even with my knee issues. Yes yet another product I love.

Review of DYSON V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum Cleaner - Silver & Nickel

Good Points: Although one of the pricier brands of vacuum cleaners on the market, Dyson deliver on the quality build and functionality, and now with their dyson app for tips on care and service resolutions. My previous machine was an V8 animal, and I bought the same but with some innovations on the model which have not gone unnoticed.If you can stomach the price, you will not be disappointed.Improvement Points: Could always be sold at a slightly lower price point which during these cost of living/high inflation times would be a big help! But I bit the bullet when my previous dyson fell apart on me after +4 years, and I don't regret it.

Very dissappointed

We bought the Dyson V8 stick vacuum cleaner and are very disappointed with it. Specifically on how long the battery lasts. I would not recommend it. If you are thinking of buying you need to consider the following points.The V8 stick vacuum cleaner will only last approx. 6 MINUTES on full power, and that is WITH NO ATTACHMENTS.We thought the battery would last for 40 minutes. However it will only last 40 minutes with NO MOTORISED HEAD AND ON LOW POWER. You only get motorised heads in the pack so it is hard to vacuum the floor without a motorised head.The V8 stick vacuum cleaner will only last between 15 and 20 MINUTES and that is on LOW POWER and WITH A MOTORISED HEAD. [Rewarded Review] Great Vacuum!

I’ve had this vacuum for about 5 years and it’s great (still works! Though the battery is beginning to struggle a bit now). I just has the unit cleaned and the Hepa filter replaced.This was just amazing to have with two young kids and hardwood/flooring on the ground floor and carpet upstairs. It was easy enough to bring up or down, whenever disaster struck. It didn’t cause any scratches or damage to the hardwood. It was also useful to clean corners and webs.We moved a few times, we also used it to turnover properties- clean cupboards, edges, drawers and everything. It’s suction continued really well despite how intensely we used it.Also, it’s been light and easy enough for my 70 year old mom to use, which was great for her. works but not as good as initial battery

Battery is too cheaply made and overheats in my dysons I have 2 dyson v8's and at 1st I thought they were broken. The battery fits prefect, looks good, and runs good initially, but after vacuuming for a few minutes the dyson starts to turn off, you can start it again so the battery isn't dead. I did some research and it turns out despite possibly being stronger as the rating says the cheaply made batteries will overheat causing this condition, it happens in both dyson's but never with the original, although the original is old and only holds a chard about a minute now. Once gone it stops completely. showing me it's definitely an overheating issue.
