Used to have the duo. One about 5 years ago was great. Replaced that one and got a rancid one. Threw that away and bought another, again rancid. Horrible smell. Was excited to see it was redone, so I tried the bite size. Again rancid! Smells absolutely horrid. I won't be giving this another try.

This brow palette is so good, I bought a second one to live permanently in my travel bag. I have been using it since the summer time and I can say it holds up well in all types of weather. You might want to top your brows off with a different brow gel if you have longer, hard to tame hairs.The tinted wax works well for perfecting areas that don't need a lot of filling in. On me, that would be the upper part of the brows and front part. I save the darker powders for the underneath and tail of the brows where they need extra help. Love this shade of brown, which matches my brows. Unfortunately, they discontinued this shade at my local store, so now I have to pay more for this item, but I prefer this one over others that are more expensive. It lasts on me all day long, and I have a combination complexion that causes my forehead and my eyebrow area to be slightly oily. This brow pigment doesn't budge and doesn't look blotchy. I will continue to use this for as long as I can find it.

There was a bit of a learning curve for me since I've only used liquid eyebrow gel prior to this but once I tried a few times I preferred how the balm looked on my brows. I use the powders after the balm on the brows following the elf instructional video. I also use the powders as eyeshadows and they blend beautifully. Replaced my neutral browns from Colourpop and I use them all the time. Could see this being great for traveling to use for both brows and eyeshadow. I have fair skin and ordered the shade neutral brown which was a great color for me and didn't pull too warm or look grey on me.
The dark grey/black brow powder is too dark. It's too much for filling in the sparse area. I used a very stiff and thin brow brush to try to draw on a few hair-like stroke, but it's still too dark. The brown powder and coloured wax are right, so it's just a matter of toning down the black powder to make it suitable for more people. The waxes are ok. They are fine for an everyday look. They have 2 different levels of hold: one w/ regular hold to tidy the hair for an everyday look, another one w/ strong hold to do stylized looks. Have said that, the mini kit is nicely designed. I wished there is a mini applicator w/ a think brush on one end and a spooly on the other, so I could take the set on the road.
I docked one star because the ‘neutral brown’ shade pulls warm on lighter skin. I included a photo (and yes the palette is much loved; I don’t review until I have used for quite some time) but it didn’t accurately represent the two powder shades. I have very light skin and ash brown brows so my brows can easily look to warm. That said, the pigmentation and staying power rival that of higher end products! I would have payed $15+ for this. The two waxes/pomades are not quite as good as the powders but they are still great products. The clear wax won’t keep very unruly brows in place but for the regular brow it will do just fine. Overall I would absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone!!
This was a lucky find. Some brown brow powders are passable but it's hard to find auburn. Here it is at a reasonable price and quality. I use the lighter powder shade with my chestnut hair (I might use the darker one with some of my darker wigs). The waxes are very handy, good for tidying up quickly or on the go. The auburn wax is not too dark, good for evening out the colour or the clear wax is good just to tidy up. Would 100% recommend these little kits and I'm very pleased.

The two shades of brown were a good match to my brows and I felt the colors didn't make me look like I had "fake" brows. I had to use a light hand with the two waxes because I found that in pictures, they can turn out too glossy and plastic looking (dreaded "fake" brows look). I really didn't need to use the clear wax because my brow hairs are thin and straight (this wax might work better if your brows are thick and unruly). I used some of the dark wax with a spoolie to give some shape to my brows and then filled in my brows with a brow brush dipped in both powders for the most natural look. I’ve found that between the Dark Brown and Black in these palettes, both of which individually offer a warm and cooler powder option, I can create a more realistic and less dramatic daily eyebrow than with the plethora of other products I’ve tried.Though obviously I didn’t try the lighter shades, in person they were surprisingly varied and well planned.Cons: of course, the darkest powder in the Black palette shattered immediately and created a huge mess, all for no apparent reason. I have used the dark brown eyebrow cream for years. It goes on nicely, looks natural, and stays on all day. The container I purchased in the past only have 2 colors (dark brown and a lighter brown) and included an applicator. The applicator stayed in the container, free of debris. While I love the product, I don't need all of the options in this set AND I really wanted an applicator and a space to store the applicator. Hopefully ELF reads these reviews.
