e.l.f. Halo Glow Setting Powder Light

I really wanted to love this since I usually do my homework well before I buy a product and my favorite YouTuber Abbey Yung recommended it, who has oily acne-prone skin like me. I also have noticeable pores on the cheeks around my nose and I can have dry patches cause of tretinoin. I feel like this powder really did nothing other than mattify my face. It sadly just doesn’t flatter my skin. I will probably still finish it cause it isn’t horrible but I’m definitely on the hunt for another powder. I have fair skin and have this powder in light and medium. Medium is definitely too dark and yellow for my complexion so bare that in mind if you have a light skin. Looked very strange on me.

Beautiful discrete everyday powder

Definitely a holy grail product. I use different powders for different purposes, and I'm so happy using this one for daily use. Important to note I also usually use a pressed powder with SPF on top.This powder doesn't mess with the finish of my makeup, especially since I typically like dewier, glowy products and don't want my powders to transform my natural makeup looks too much. Definitely adds some glow, but a natural one. Still oily-skin friendly IMO as long as you like satin finishes.The only drawback is that it's not fantastic for super long wear.

Great powder

I love this powder! I use it to help my concealer on my undereye and foundation on my nose stay better before adding other products like highlighters then as a finishing powder over everything using my elf precision powder brush. I got the light pink to help add a touch of warmth and color to my look, since my other setting powders have been more white and translucent. It definitely ties together the look in addition to setting everything. Like, seriously, I've bawled crying for hours in makeup set with this stuff and it didn't budge. I also love how, unlike some of my other setting powders, it closes with the screw lid and from the inside, minimizing the mess of powder that can happen when you open a powder that doesn't seal inside (although maybe that's just me).

Mediocre at Best, Maliciously Horrendous at Worst

This powder is the strangest powder I have ever used. Due to pregnancy my skin type has fluctuated between every skin type there is, and this powder worked for none of them. I fell for the hype and bought the powder on recommendation as most do, and having tried it with a multitude of different face products, I've come to the conclusion that this powder is, indeed, garbage. At my oiliest it made me dry as the desert, at my driest it made me an oil slick with noticeable flaking skin. It sticks to any liquid underneath and instead of setting, becomes a weird homogenous consistency with the product that makes it a weird texture on the face that feels like I tried doing my makeup over a face full of Vaseline. Must-have product, such a pretty finish

I'm obsessed with this product! It has such a pretty look. I had low expectations and was just hoping for some shine control, but now it's a must-use for me. Even if I'm just doing a really simple look, this setting powder gives it a pretty finish. It actually adds a soft glow to your face with just a hint of color (I bought the light pink, which suits my fair skin). It is not heavy at all. I have senstive, combination skin and I love that it doens't feel heavy or look caked on. It feels like it just evens everything out. I wear a different brand's concealing serum underneath as a "foundation" with this over top, and it's the perfect minimal look that evens out my skintone over my whole face. My favorite setting powder (former MUA)

I used to be a bridal makeup artist, so I’ve been through my fair share of setting powders, trying to find the absolute best for my brides—Laura mercier, hourglass, too faced, rcma, bare minerals… you name it. This quickly became a favorite, especially for the under-eye area. With the right concealer, there is no creasing and it looks beautifully luminous. I prefer using a brush to do the initial set under the eyes (after concealer is blended). Sometimes, I’ll go back in with a sponge to brighten. Make sure the sponge is not very wet!!! I have no issue setting my entire face with this powder, but sometimes I will mix it with a more matte powder to take care of my oily areas. Needs More Shades...

This is good powder. Honestly, it performs better than a few high end brands I regret splurging on. That said, it isn't my favorite but it's great for every day and saving those coins. I don't really find it all that luminous but I appreciate that it isn't matte.My biggest issue is the shade range. It is pale, paler, dark and nothing in between with variation in undertone except for pink??? Every line needs a good yellow/golden shade for us olive, medium and tan gals... I may appreciate how it wears if the shade wasn't so light (the darkest one is way too deep for my medium tan, golden olive skin).But, if you're on a budget, get this and skip the high end brand powders all together unless you need a different kind of shade.

Talc-free option on an excellent setting powder

Finally a talc-free option on an excellent setting powder! This is one great powder that is finely milled, mattifies the skin while enhancing it with a subtle glow and doesn't oxidize on you (who wants orange skin?). I apply this after my foundation and I get an air-brushed look that lasts for 5+ hours. I have also worn this powder alone after moisturizing and it is equally good for a no-make up look. You still see your natural skin but you're not as oily or blotchy. I wish elf would come out with a pressed powder compact of this product for portable touch ups. I got the Light color for my light complexion and it was a good match.

This powder is that girl....

I bought this from target today in the shades light pink and medium beige. I see why this is a holy grail product. I'm late to the pink under eye train, but wow this powder is stunning. I'm obsessed with the brightening/smoothing effect this pink powder creates. I have a olive tan/deep skin tone and a women of color for reference. I wasn't sure and thought the powders would be too light, but they are just stunning. Smoothing, non-drying, and beautiful. It did not change the color of my tinted moisturizer underneath and they just felt really nice on the skin. I have oily skin, but I also don't want a matte matte look so this was perfect. Versatile Face Powder

I have been a BM powder foundation fan for years, but as I've gotten older I noticed their powders make the imperfections on my skin look more noticeable while also drying my skin out.
