I give the Game 7 out of 10. The game's tutorial is lacking. Had go online to find out how kick for distance on Punts & FG's. After you hit the button for meter accuracy. You have push button again and hold it as the forward arrow fills up and let go to increase distance. I have read disappointing reviews mainly over petty things involving the deep recruiting etc... But I like the game as far as just playing. It's better than Madden. Main issue is EA continue use of the Frost Bite Engine which will always hold EA games back from being better. It's worth buying especially since when have we had a really good video football game? Graphics are firstrate... It's Enjoyable.

The game's general release was on 7/19, today is 8/4 and EA has not been able to fix the "plethora" amount of issues regarding the highly anticipated teambulider! The public outcry increasinlgy grows for a remedy as frustrations are constatly being posted on the site with little to no answers nor progess! Thanks to all that try to post "how to fix" vids on You-Tube. Stop! It's a waste of both your time and the poor person watching thinking it's going to work. It won't. It's a EA server/poor design issue and not your computer. At this point, I can honestly reccomend this game to absolutely no one. Stay far away until EA has it's act together 100%!

College Football is back!

It’s hard not loving this game just because I missed it but that’s not the case. It is a really fun game. It has fast paceda ction that leans a little bit more on the arcade side than a simulation but that leads to the fun. Games are supposed to be fun in my opinion. The mechanics are smooth and the animations are some of the best that I’ve seen. You can really feel the speed of the faster players which gives you the sensation that any play can be busted for a long gain just like in real life college football. It is not perfect though. I would like the player movement to be a little more realistic as far as the change of direction is concerned. Players running the ball can change direction on a dime while the defenders momentum can easily take them out of the play. ... MoreIt’s hard not loving this game just because I missed it but that’s not the case. Finally, it's back!

Disclaimer: I'm an older dude who grew up on the PlayStation 2-3x Xbox n Xbox 360 versions. The game looks beautiful and I love seeing all the stadiums, hearing the fight songs, and all the cool college game day features but it just doesn't cpature the spirit of the older games. The game play is fun enough but something about it feels off. It's probably me that is off.I like the option game on offense and and features such as high school teams. I think this is a great game for younger gamers or gamers who have more time to dedicate to the game in general. For older dudes that have been waiting since the last 2014 NCAA football game, it is very cool to see this game come back.

Good Game Still
22 September 2024

Just as I expected. We are back in business. Game features are good. I like the game play so far. Had to get use to the buttons in what controlled what after it being off the shelf for years. My only wish since EA made the jump to the PS5 platform. Is that it had Div 1-AA Schools on it. Along with it having the ability to create your OWN School/Team. I enjoyed building my own team/tweaking the players attributes like the Old EA CF '12 or '13 version that came out years ago. Otherwise, this game could have been made for the PS4 platform and probably would have made more SELLS. Now we EA College Football lovers have to upgrade to the PS5 platform. But...I'm glad it's back. So, I give it 4 stars.

Great Return for College Football

I’m one of those crazy people that bought PS5 just so I could play College Football 25. Sure down the road I will eventually purchase more games but I feel victim to buying the hype of the return of college football to gaming consoles.Overall, the game is great. Yes it has its bugs, but the dev team is doing an awesome job (up to this point) in finding them and curing them. It’s refreshing to see a team of developers who actually care about the feedback they receive from their audience. The graphics are great. The extreme attention to detail is fascinating to see. The gameplay is very good, with some bugs that have already gotten fixed or have at least been announced to get fixed. The playability is extremely good. Of course Dynasty is the premier stop for most players. I’m early in Year 2 of my Dynasty and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience up to this point.I definitely recommend this game to others. Be patient with the bugs; the vast majority are far from ruining your gaming experience with only a few being a minor infraction (in my opinion).

ITS IN THE GAME

@easportscollege is back! 17 hours in, Year 1 of dynasty mode done. Hearing the drum-lines, seeing the crowds realism, and overall presentation is worth noting. Its a great time, taking a lower division school, from the ground up is satisfying . Running mechanics, gameplay is responsive and fluid. Passing is a bit more challenging, and realistic and it truly matters how your QB is rated. Playing defense is hard. The game feels like it was tailored for shoot outs with comes with pros and cons. Recruiting is also very in depth, where a lot of schools rankings and prestige does matter. Its satisfying seeing a 4 star recruit whom you been going after for 14 + weeks finally accept your offer. The game does a great job of adding tons of nuances and options to make it feel ... More@easportscollege is back! 17 hours in, Year 1 of dynasty mode done. The games are challenging, many of times ive had moments where id jump up to fist pump after making a clutch TD, Pick, Tackle or first down.Built out SJSU @sjsuspartans as National champions and excited to jump into year 2 of dynasty to welcome in my newest/top prospects via Recruiting and Transfers + Road To Glory mode. Overall, im having hella fun and haven’t had this much fun with a football game since ESPN 2K5 and Madden 2004. Rating 8/10. Highly recommend whether you’re a college football fan or not.

First things first , all these people leaving 1 star reviews because they didn’t get their preorder on time, please stop! That has nothing to do with the game. So please stop crushing the review scores because your mad at Best buy or the post office. Back to the game: is it perfect, no. But the most important thing to note is that it plays nothing like Madden and feels like the game we remember from 2014. Tackling and hitting feels great. The way the QBs sling the ball around look and feel awesome. Running in this game is tight. Very nice controls that at times feel overpowered, but not so much that it detracts from the fun factor. So glad to have the series back and looking forward to rhe continuation of growth moving forward. This should also help push Madden in the right direction by creating a healthy competition between the developers to make each game better and better. Great to see this and excited for what lies ahead!

The Nostslgia is The Selling Point
20 July 2024

This game isn’t great. A lot of basic features are lacking while others were unnecessarily hammered out. For instance, the creator suite has the most realistic hair of any game I’ve seen. But it’s going to be under a helmet! The RTG mode has plenty of issues too. Getting your player leveled up is a grind. And coaching decisions to put you in or pull you from a game seem random. The crowd appears after the stadium during cutscenes. But the beginning of each game has all the pageantry you could ask for. It’s okay. Not groundbreaking. Not a complete Madden clone.
