I was hesitant about these at first but I mean it when I say Loops really delivered! I have really bad auditory sensory issues and I've tried so many different earplugs and headphones and nothing has worked like this product. I love the ability to switch between no mutes and mutes because sometimes that extra damper is so helpful. I also really love that it has both silicone and foam tips because they offer different dampening and comfort depending on what you need at the time. (Flexibility is soooo important for unpredictable changing sensory issues). I'm so impressed that I'm genuinely considering buying another pair that's a different kind! I was worried about being able to hear myself too much, but honestly it doesn't bother me a whole lot because I'm usually ... MoreI was hesitant about these at first but I mean it when I say Loops really delivered! The one thing I noticed is it makes the steps you take while walking oddly loud, but that really doesn't bother me either. I've recently used these at graduation parties and I've been able to hold a conversation at one table without getting overwhelmed from all the background noise of all the other tables. This product is truly a lifesaver and has saved me from so much overstimulation and so many panic attacks. My only regret is not buying them sooner!

I needed ear plugs due to my noise sensitivity and tinnitus. I started teaching this year and needed a way to get through the school day when it got bad. I also needed them for school events like pep rallies. I was recommended these by an employee at my college. They are very helpful and have made the school day something I can get through. I had a heard time figuring out the sizes but decided on the extra small. The fit well and are comfortable after a couple of minutes. The rose gold is also great for concealing them. The only problem with that is that the extra piece that muffles the sound, is white and very obvious. I wish they were the same color. I cannot tell if this si beacuse I’m not used to wearing them or what. The type of earplugs I got were supposed to ... MoreI needed ear plugs due to my noise sensitivity and tinnitus. I can barely hear conversations around me, unless it’s loud. If a student is talking across the room, I cannot hear them and wish I could. I can’t even hear a student talking right next to me. I am constantly taking them out and it is annoying. I have a hard time with the muffled hearing and when I take them out, I feel like the world around me is quieter. I looked it up and can’t find why I have this problem. I just wish I had a review like this to read to tell me I wasn’t the only one with this problem, so I decided to post this review. It needs some updating and maybe a pair for those who have certain conditions? Someone with noise sensitivity beacuse of autism might need a different pair then someone who have tinnitus. That is my two cents. <3

Overall, they're comfortable and the clear acrylic make them effectively invisible. I've had people approach me from the side and not be aware I have them in.So far the single flange silicone tip doesn't squeak in my ear like regular triple flange earplugs, which was an initial concern of mine.My only "complaint" is that I'd like a set that has less occlusion effect, as would probably everyone else. I know this is a balance as the higher the noise reduction, the higher the occlusion effect but I'd be willing to try a set with even less reduction than the Engage 2 to see if they fit my needs. I use my Loops for work all of the time and absolutely love them. I’m a farm operator so I use my Engage 2 plus pair for light noise days around power tools and small equipment. I have an additional pair of the original Experience Loops that I wear for louder days around heavy equipment. I loved those so much, it convinced me to get to check out the Engage style and I can absolutely tell the difference. Each one has the perfect amount of noise cancellation for differing activities. I bought a third pair of Experience 2 plus loops for my boss and he loves them too! He says they’re perfect to wear for any noisy activity around the farm. In my line of work it’s not very popular to care about your hearing. If you’re on the fence about getting a pair, just do it. These things are GOOD. I'll be honest, there's a learning curve, but I used them tonight at a bar my theater group frequents, and the background noise of the other people was immediately muffled. People talking around me went from being loud to a regular talking volume, and I could still follow along with the conversation easily. The one negative I would have is getting used to hearing your voice and figuring out your volume level. They work like earplugs do, so your voice is somewhat amplified and "echoes" in your head, if that makes sense. I had trouble figuring out a talking volume, but I experimented a few times with one earplug in and it worked a bit. I'm guessing figuring out your talking volume is just a learning curve to get used to.I have not used the ... MoreThese things are GOOD. But, maybe at a concert or a ballpark, it might be useful to carry the mutes just in case.
Engage Plus from what I understand are supposed to enhance the conversation you’re in while quieting the background noise… they do a GREAT job of blocking out noise but that includes the conversation you’re supposed to be in.5 stars for fit because they are incredibly comfortable and fit well - coming from someone with tiny ears that buds normally don't stay in.I bought these after taking the test for which pair would best suit me. I work in the bar/restaurant scene and wanted to better hear and communicate with my guests especially when it’s busy, there’s a crowd and music playing. But all they’ve done so far is make it more difficult to hear as I can only hear myself incredibly loud and not much of anything else. Maybe it’s something I’m doing wrong? I love my loops - so much so that I tell all my friends about them. While in unexpectedly loud environments, I can become withdrawn and very fidgety. The loops help me so much that my friends will ask if I have them before I even realize I need them. Win for Engage 2 Plus and win for my support circle!!!Additional benefits to wearing loops: I enjoy myself in social environments where there is typically disruptive background noise.I can be present while commuting without feeling overstimulated.I can focus without sound distractions.I can still go dancing with my friends and take extra sensory breaks by using the mute plug!!!I could go on and on about all the reasons I love these but instead of spending even more time on a screen today, I will end my review here ... MoreI love my loops - so much so that I tell all my friends about them. I got the engage 2 plus and the quiet 2 in a bundle deal from their website. I thought it was a really good deal for the both of them, which contributes to why I'm going to keep them even though their performance isn't spectacular. The Quiet 2's seem to block about as much sound as my normal foam ear plugs, and are comparably comfortable. I probably wouldn't have bought them just for that, but since I have them now, I'm not going to return them. At the very least, I don't need to keep replacing them constantly like I do with the foam ones. Better monetarily and environmentally. The Engage 2 Plus are the ones I was truly interested in and the reason I ordered. I was curious about the technology to preferentially block out certain frequencies while letting in the human voice. Using them to socialize in a noisy environment, they *do* muffle some of the background noise, while my friend's voice has come through just fine. But they don't *significantly* reduce the background noise. Worth keeping for the small amount of improvement they bring, but like the Quiets, they're not remarkable.Perhaps the technology will evolve! I'm really interested in what the Engages are trying to do, and hope someday they'll just do it a little bit better. The two together are worth it for the price point and the marginal improvements they bring. I wouldn't pay more than this for them though.
As someone who is sensitive to noise, I’ve been searching for a solid everyday earplug. I settled on the engage 2 plus to cut down on noise while still being able to hear conversation. In this regard, it does a fantastic job.It still amplifies your own eating and breathing a little bit, so it’s not the best if you need it while eating. That’s to be expected with most in-ear earplugs though. Otherwise it’s quite comfortable once you find the right size tips, of which it comes with a lot of sizes to choose from. It does take a little bit of practice to pop them in and out, but once you get the hang of it it’s possible to do it quite quickly.I got the clear style, and without the white mutes (inner removable silicone ring that cuts down on noise even further) it’s ... MoreAs someone who is sensitive to noise, I’ve been searching for a solid everyday earplug. No one will really notice unless they’re really looking. I do wish there was space in the case to store the mutes so I could more easily pop them in and out without losing them.Overall, I’d recommend the engage 2 plus to anyone who wants to reduce the overall noise levels without making everything too muffled.
I am very impressed with the Engage 2 Plus Loops. They're light and cute, super comfortable, and nicely adaptable with the extra Mutes. My high noise sensitivity has caused me many grievances throughout my life. I tried regular earplugs but they never met the criteria mentioned above. I used to wear noise cancelling headphones all the time (without playing any audio) but they have a limited battery life and are inappropriate for social interactions (in terms of level of noise reduction and politeness). The Loops, on the other hand, can be worn at all times without compromising comfort, sociability, and convenience. Sometimes, I take out one Loop to manage these situations better.Overall: good quality, great for social engagement, and very manageable downsides.
