We recently adopted a dog from a rescue. Although his profile said medium size he is most definitely large in person which means what we have to pick up after him corresponds and these bags do the trick. After reading about dog bag alternatives, I learned that most cities don’t have the facilities to be able to process compostable bags along with the feces therefore, it’s not worthwhile to go that route unless you’re sure it’s going to be composted correctly. Sure, they’re more expensive than other bags- but you know what? You get what you pay for. I was gifted a million (this is an exaggeration to make a point) bags of another brand and I actually stopped using the free bags because Earth Rated is just the best. They have a good size, they’re the right thickness, and every bag in the roll is usable, unlike the cheap ones where the tear of piece is screwed up every five bags. Do yo he self a favor and don’t even try to switch brands. It’s not worth it.

These used to be my go to, now they’re terrible. They completely changed them just to save a little bit of money. Now you’ve lost a customer and I’m not the only one. They’re extremely sticky and hard to tie and they’re less wide which means they are too small for my needs. Other brands are over 8 inches wide these are 7. Not fit for a medium-large dog. These are pretty much useless now. Only fit for small dogs. Ridiculous.

These are just poop bags. Nothing else is fancy about them. They are not compostable, they are still made of plastic. Biodegradable actually makes it worse because it never really dissolves, it just turns the plastic into tiny little pieces.Even though they call themselves "Earth rated" there is nothing environmentally friendly about them except marketing.For the massive price difference, just get the Amazon bags. If you really want to make a difference, get compostable bags (but even then, can they actually compost in a landfill?!)These are just poop bags. They hold poop and they don't leak.
It's great that recycled plastic bags are not significantly more expensive than the regular types. With two dogs now, I am going through more of these and can feel less guilty about environmental impact. I have had long fingernails since high school and find the biodegradable ones too soft to feel "safe," from puncture or even just sitting a week in the trash can for the next pickup. After multiple boxes of these from different stores (I hope I don't jinx myself saying this) they have felt durable enough that I hope they do not change!
I really liked the packaging, it’s convenient to put it by the door so you don’t forget your bags before going for a walk. My only issue with these is their size: they are a tad smaller than the ones I use from another brand. My hands are not at all big, but these are not roomy enough. (I use my hand to pick up my dog’s poop: I put a bag on my hand, pick up the droppings and then take it off, leaving the poop inside. These bags are a bit too tight for that maneuver, but if you use a scoop, I think you’ll be fine.)The bags are very sturdy, not thin at all, and the scent is nice, too.
