Fragrant violet on the nose followed by dense fruit flavour of dark plum and light blueberry, velvet smooth light tannin with a hit of light oak spices. Lovely accompaniment to lamb or slow cooked beef shoulder. Good value for money here!

I used to love Earthworks Cab Sav, it was one my favs for many years, I enjoyed the lovely taste. I got this 2019 vintage recently from First Choice, and it was an absolute disapointment. I just couldn't believe the difference in taste. I aired it, rested it by keeping it another day, tried again, but no, it still had this horrible bitter taste. I ended up emptying the rest of the bottle in the sink... Whatever happened to Earthworks, it is not good... Hopefully it is just this batch/year..

Enjoyed this very much, even more than their shiraz - which is nice for a change! This cab sav is crisp with a great depth of flavour. Earthworks makes great wine all round.
