Absolute rubbish! Line needs pulling through every couple of minutes, line comes unravelled from the spool all the time, had it 18 months and it's suddenly stopped working! Only ever used it for trimming lawn edges. Expected a strimmer from this brand to last a LOT longer than 18 months!!!!! Now have to purchase another strimmer which is an unexpected cost that i could have done without at the moment. Safe to say i will be buying a different brand!!!

I bought this to replace my FPGT250 B&Q own brand that had finally burnt out after several years use. The Bosch appears to be great quality but when using it for the first time I very quickly found that the wire broke off flush with the drum every few seconds. I was constantly having to rethread it. I never had this problem with my FpGT250. I did raise the concern with B&Q and they said take it back for checking, and when taken in, the assistant James said he canât find anything wrong with it and I should probably try a different brand of wire. Not very helpful at all. Google shows that this is a common problem. I would advise against purchasing this item.. I wish I could have purchased a replacement FPGt250 but it seems they donât do them anymore.

Collected it today, easy the assemble, once using, the guard will prevent you getting close to fence/kerb side weeds. I reassured myself I had assembled it correctly. As far as I surmise a small blade ensure max length and the spinning line will just exceed the front guard; not so as I had to stop every minute to release more string, after about 15 mins I ran out of the provided string, about a quarter of my garden done, poorly because of the guard. Piece of crap

Collected Bosh Easygrasscut 26' 280W yesterday and after viewing a video review from one of the customers available as rating review on this website for all those that don't know what to do is now really simple. Remember 280W grass trimmer is 7 and 10 times more powerful than any accumulator line that is available therefore blade cutter option is not necessary even over the fact this trimmer is only one line for every vire you can buy within 1`6mm and I buy both available pvc metal and metal tie wire plus double strength galvanised wire. Setting up the actual trimmer is easy but for those that would have issues please watch the customers review you will be able to see on this website and on YouTube. Please understand once you will get your extra cartridges replacements and use the original wire to keep the cartridge and once you collect those extra wires mount them onto cartridge and if put a plastic tube within the wire as from inside the cartridge and if you use the plastic shield on the trimmer than cut the wire at least one cm less the diameter of the trimmer wantage length to avoid damage of the shield. I recently purchased the Bosch EasyGrassCut 26 280W Corded Grass Trimmer, and I am extremely pleased with its performance. This trimmer is lightweight and easy to handle, making it perfect for maintaining small to medium-sized gardens. The 280W motor provides more than enough power to tackle overgrown edges and tough weeds with ease.
I bought this yesterday as my grass was so overgrown from all the rain. Excellent product. The feeder reel, adjustable handle and metal guard that protects the reel when working around edges added bonus. No stopping starting. 10/10

The line is absolutely unfit for the purpose it was designed for. As soon as it touches a weed (nettle) it breaks. The longest time I send it for without this appending was 15 seconds. A 5 minute job took three times as long as I kept having to open up the case and pulling out (and threading through) more line.Iâve put two stars only because I likes the fact the box was smaller because the pole comes in three parts and it is very easy to put together.Iâve bought cheaper ones in the past that have worked better, so am going to clean it up and return it.
Bought this on advice from member of staff who said it was a great strimmer that had all qualities of more expensive type. I found it isn't suitable for what I need. Cant swivel head and only operates on flat surfaces so no good for border edges. In addition the wire, which is easy to wind on, does keep coming out of its compartment. Lots of stop and start to fix it. I really don't think this is a worthwhile product and disappointed
I replaced my burnt out B&Q NMGT250 (see reviews) with this. The Bosch is more expensive, powerful and heavier, albeit by slight margins, and should be better. But as noted by other reviewers it has a major problem- the line keeps breaking. My simple solution was to throw it to the back of the shed and buy a cordless model from Lidl, cheaper, delightful to use but less power. Later, annoyed that the Bosch was doing nothing but take up space, I retrieved it and replaced the 1.6mm Bosch line, which seems flimsy, with 1.6mm commercial line, with no improvement. I then tried 2mm line and it's a different machine. I think the RPM are just too high for 1.6mm line.
