Bought to replace old Erbauer drill a few weeks ago. I have already used it, it is more powerful than the old drill, (which I was very happy with) and light and easy to handle. Very pleased too with the good price and excellent service from local B&Q store.

I am a DIYer so was looking for a quality product and I have tended from past experiences to select Bosch power toolsThe build quality is good and the driver capability exceeded my expectation in fact it easily dealt driving screwsGiven that this product included free of charge battery and charger this represented great value for a branded product

Bought recently for a specific outdoor job (still to be undertaken) but it looks good. This is the first Barrett powered tool I've bought & the quality is as good as ever for Bosch. The one big let down is the "instructions". Although available in many languages they're pretty superficial to a first time user & would benefit from a better intro!

I bought this as a replacement of an older version which I had for many years. It's a great little drill which is easy to use and not too heavy for DIY jobs around the home. So far nothing to complain about. The second battery is a great idea and saves the frustrations of the battery draining half way through a job.
When you start buying battery powered power tools (rather than mains powered), you have an important decision to make: what brand are you going to buy. Hardly anybody's battery is compatible with another brand, so once you have bought one power tool with a battery, you had best stick with the brand so that the batteries are interchangeable (and it is cheaper to buy further tools without buying further batteries). As a DIYer, I decided that Bosch was a good compromise between top quality (like De Walt) and affordability (less than half the price). I'm only going to be using this a couple of hours a month not several hours a day. I'm very satisfied. It does the job well. The batteries last a decent length of time. Its easy to change bits and the LED light is handy ... MoreWhen you start buying battery powered power tools (rather than mains powered), you have an important decision to make: what brand are you going to buy. (I just wish that you could have the light come on BEFORE you started drilling/screwdriving -- i.e., when you are poisitioning things).
This was a replacement for a previous bosh drill whose battery had gone pathetic. This drill came with 2 batteries, that was nice, but it's such a joy to have a drill that works every couple of weeks straight out the box again! Looks like it's an upgrade as looks like there's a hammer drill function.Seemed to handle an 18mm hole drill through some 2x4 OK with the drill bit that goes narrow to fit the chuck.
I was at the Hinckley branch looking to find a product that would help me hang up a picture in my bedroom. I didn't have a clue what I was looking for so I asked a man called Gary. He was very knowledgeable about the drill and explained what kind of drill bit i wpuld have to use and other accessaries that I will need in order to hang up my picture. Very good customer service. I have to consult my wife to see what she thinks before I return for the purchase.
This is a replacement for an earlier Bosch model purchased in 2017 which had undergone heavy use but failed due the switch. This new model is compatible with the batteries of the earlier model and slightly higher specification BUT the cost overall is marginally less with the free battery pack deal. Mind you the earlier model which I also purchased through Wickes came with two batteries hence the long service life.
The hammer drill action is totally ineffective on a standard house brick. It just bounced around marking the brick. I dug out my ancient battered £20 corded drill which drilled the hole in about 6 seconds using the same bit. The impact gear seems and sounds soft, like nylon. May be okay for breeze block. Unless I was just unlucky enough to get a faulty unit. Impact shouldn't really be in the drill description.
The drill. The drill is amazing, so powerful for a wire free device, comes in a great hard case to store it in with room for extra batteries. Charges quickly and super simple to use. Very very happy with it.
