ECCO sandals are the best ever. I've had many others and these outperform them by a ECCO mile. I've worn my ECCOs ( this is my second pair) on the busy streets of Mexico City, the warm sandy beaches of San Diego, hiking the mountain trails outside Salzburg, Austria and the Alps above Lake Zurich and Lake Geneva in Switzerland just last summer. They've been excellent dog-walking sandals for Hyde Park in London and doing part of the Capitol Ring trail round greater London and returning central on the tube. Superbly comfortable, amazingly adjustable in three ways and always easy even on these old well-walked feet. They are just what I wanted and will continue to use and travel with to warm climates.

My husband has neuropathy in his hands and feet. It is extremely difficult for him to put shoes on. He can put these on and fasten the Velcro straps without any help! They are so comfortable. I certainly recommend them.

Just bought this sandal for my husband who has a VERY hard time finding shoes let alone sandals that will work for him. He had a total ankle replacement 8 years ago, so he needs a VERY supportive shoe, especially in the ankle. His doctor recommended a few brands and actually Ecco wasn't one of them he mentioned. However, my husband has several pairs of Ecco shoes and has been very happy. While looking at the other brands, Teva and Vionic, this shoe came up. My husband has feet problems, including high arches, and sometimes gets him foot pain after our 4-5 mile daily walk. Walking in sandals was more comfortable for him in warm weather, but he stopped when his Hi-Tec sandals wore out and his favorite model was discontinued. I tried the Ecco Yucatan sandals for myself, and found they have great support. We bought him 2 pairs. His feet are in much better shape after long walks. Would recommend them to anyone.

Purchased this sandal for hiking due some review online. This sandal looks good but do NOT get fooled. After using for more than a week, it started to hurt my feet and causing discomfort hours after usage. After a couple week wear, it's a dead on hurting my feet after 15-30 mins of wearing. The whole padding, especially the heel padding felt extremely hard. For price paid, I'd recommend stay far away from this one. Unfortunately I unable to return it within the 30 days window since I went to travel with it.
This is my 2nd pair of Ecco sandals. The previous style were the best sandals I’ve ever owned!The newest style has neoprene sewed on the inside. It fits too tight and is not breathable, causing hot sweaty feet.Prefer last style better!
Tried on other brands (Keen, Teva) and found these to be the most comfortable and stable, and more true to size. One caveat is that it does not come in wide (tough to find in sandals - why?). My normal shoe size is 43 wide. My right foot is slightly larger/wider than left. Fit left perfectly, but right was slightly snug width wise. Since I plan to use these most of the time on the boat and beach/water, and not long hikes, I can live with that. If I wanted these for extended walks/hikes, I would search for sandals that came in wide (very limited). Yucatan materials may not dry as quickly as others, but is fine for me. Overall I am very pleased and would purchase again.
I bought them for hiking, which is what they are intended for. I found them not that comfortable to wear on everyday use, just because the bottom is high. They are great walking on uneven grounds. However I sprained my ankle when I went hiking with them last weekend. When I walk my right foot is out-toeing, and my left is not. I sprained my left. I found if both my feet are out-toeing, then I wouldn't have sprained my left ankle. There is a tendency to tip over from the little toe if you walk in-toeing, or even straight. But if you walk out-toeing, then most pressure is not on the little toe, then it would be fine. I injured my ankle when I was going downhill quickly. I think the saddles should be redesigned to make the front more stable on the little toe side.
Top quality materials. Firm fitting and adjustable; can run in them if the urge overcomes you. The foot bed is quite supportive. I ordered blue. They are a fashionable sandal.
