These are always the best sandals on the planet!Durability 10Style 10Fit 10Comfort: 20!Anything Else: 10Especially comfort, I have soft skin on my feet so if I wear anything with a leather or fabric strap and go for a 10 mile hike, it will wear my skin right off and give me bad blisters or sores but with the padding material that ECCO uses I get zero issues, I could walk for 20 miles no prob! The sandal was also to big (not ECCO's fault, I ordered the wrong size for my nephew) and ECCO makes returns a breeze. Always an ECCO customer!

I am writing this review for my daughter, who has purchased about 6 or more of this same style of sandal. She likes the men's shoe better, because they are better sized and slightly wider, than the female version. For the last couple of years, because of foot injuries, she was seriously searching for something that would offer both the comfort and support she needed (just to walk around a little). She's fit the bill -- they are high priced, but worth every penny to her. It was good to find these online, as store shopping, as we all know, has not been too fabulous since Covid. These sandals wear well too, but because she adores them, she stays ahead of it all and orders pairs at regular intervals, while they are still being manufactured. Thank You, for a very good ... MoreI am writing this review for my daughter, who has purchased about 6 or more of this same style of sandal. I've had issues with sandals in the past where they roll the muscles in my feet and caused issues while walking in them. I bought a pair of these in Sweden and they worked so well I bought a pair for my home in the USA as well. They are sturdy, so they keep things from moving in ways that they shouldn't while not causing discomfort. Amazing sandals!

These sandals are the best! I have a bad foot and wearing these sandals does not hurt it one bit. We went to Tenerife and I wore them everyday and had no pain. I walked at least 5 miles a day and it was great. Fit and finish are exceptional. Quality is above anything I’ve seen. Thank you Ecco! Only thing is I wish they still had the wave tech insole…
My husband has feet problems, including high arches, and sometimes gets him foot pain after our 4-5 mile daily walk. Walking in sandals was more comfortable for him in warm weather, but he stopped when his Hi-Tec sandals wore out and his favorite model was discontinued. I tried the Ecco Yucatan sandals for myself, and found they have great support. We bought him 2 pairs. His feet are in much better shape after long walks. Would recommend them to anyone.
Many years ago, when I was young and working a minimum wage job, I splurged and (as a woman) got talked into buying a pair of these sandals. I was trendy, fashion forward and couldn’t imagine wearing them. Thank god I listened to this sales person. First I lost one in a lake, they float! Recovered. Later I lost one to a few beers and super muddy pond floor. I had owned them for years at this point. I went out immediately the next day and bought a new pair. I’ve owned this new pair for a few years now. They are the most comfortable shows. Highly functional, easy to put on. The inch of ground clearance is amazing. Today I woke up groggily to my lovely, super chewing dog eating them, I was distraught! No need to be, they’re so durable i can’t find a single tooth ... MoreMany years ago, when I was young and working a minimum wage job, I splurged and (as a woman) got talked into buying a pair of these sandals. If anything ever happens to this pair I will immediately buy a new pair.
I bought them for hiking, which is what they are intended for. I found them not that comfortable to wear on everyday use, just because the bottom is high. They are great walking on uneven grounds. However I sprained my ankle when I went hiking with them last weekend. When I walk my right foot is out-toeing, and my left is not. I sprained my left. I found if both my feet are out-toeing, then I wouldn't have sprained my left ankle. There is a tendency to tip over from the little toe if you walk in-toeing, or even straight. But if you walk out-toeing, then most pressure is not on the little toe, then it would be fine. I injured my ankle when I was going downhill quickly. I think the saddles should be redesigned to make the front more stable on the little toe side.
Why do I come back to Ecco Offroads?1. They are comfortable.2. They are durable.3. The are incredible value for money. After 8+years my old Ecco Offroads were a just fine, but on closer inspection starting to show signs of hard work.Upper structure was fine but the rubber soles starting to split and come adrift in places. Time to discard? No way they are perfect for working in the garden etc. The new ones, like the old ones fit like a glove and make my feet happy. Old friends become new friends without the wrinkles. In money terms for less than $30 per year you have perhaps the best pair of sandals you can get. That is the Ecco effect! :)What's , online purchase was easy as, and delivery was prompt.
One of the biggest advantages of these sandals is their versatility. I’ve worn them on hikes, beach trips, and even casual outings, and they have performed well in every situation. The rubber outsole provides excellent grip, which is particularly useful on uneven terrain. Plus, they’re lightweight, so my feet never feel weighed down.
I have a long middle toe that sticks out and get injured, so sometimes can only wear sandals even in winter. I have several pair already of other types of sandals. The soles on my Teva were so flimsy that when it would hit a stone or something when walking, the soles would flip over and I would almost fall. My other ones were not adjustable for wearing socks with them, needed at times on the Oregon Coast. These sandals are true to size for me, women's 11, women's 42, or men's 43. The straps can be adjusted for barefoot up to thick socks. I feel very well supported in these, felt a little stiff and hard when I first put them on, but now on my second day feel like I could walk all day in them, very comfortable, important as a senior with pronated ankles.
