One the best day so far I have gotten about 475 watts input on the solar panels and have two facing east and two facing west since I am looking for the longest input not the highest. It charges just fine without any issue. At dusk I can hear a relay clicking which I looked up and other users have reported it is the solar generator recognizing some minor input by the solar panels but not enough to click over the charging aspect. I hope there is no long term issues with the relayApp: The app is amazing and I love it. The garage gets very mild wifi but the generator is able to pick up on it. Set up is a breeze and I can control the outlets, run time, charge capacity etc from the app. It is very convenient.Power: The power is absolutely amazing. I have my garage hooked up with 6 Shop LED lights drawing about 300 watts and a fan on a seperate 15 amp circuit and a sump pump that is crucial for the drainage in the backyard + and any power tool you can imagine on a dedicated 20 amp circuit. The 20 amp I have a true HD 20 amp plug running into the inlet. I have turned on the lights, sump pump and air compressor all at once and this had no issue powering everything with zero start up lag. I turned the sump pump off and powered up the shop vac and measured the watts and was close to 1800 with the vac and compressor on. I am absolutely impressed with the power this thing can deliver and was super worried about it running these things however it shows no issue. I have faith it will power the table saw and miter saw without issue as both those machines draw a lower wattage and amps than what I experimented with.Run Time and Measurement issues: This is my biggest concern with this machine is I don't feel the battery capacity is a true 2kwh design. I have a "kill a watt" measurement tool and it is measuring my sump pump at 680 watts however this is measuring the same pump at almost 800 watts. That is a huge discrepancy and it seems like there is a markup of watts in anything it is running. For example my bug zapper on the kill a watt measures at approximately 60 watts but on the generator it is pulling 78 watts. It is almost like anything drawing current is marked up by almost 15-20%.Another major issue I have is the machines draw on itself while just sitting there. My shed has a constant draw of around 5 watts (measured with the kill a watt machine) when everything is off. This should mean that with nothing running I should still get roughly 16 days off the machine with nothing running. That isn't the case as it will run itself down in about 2.5 days without anything powered on. That means the generator itself is drawing a considerable amount of power just to keep itself on whether that is to keep it connected to wifi or keep the fan going etc. Not sure why but that just feels unnaceptable to me. I will go to bed and it will be at 100% and I will wake up and it will be at roughly 82%. That makes it really tough to be reliable in the winter when I am not getting a huge solar input. I am worried that it won't be able to keep up with the draw let alone power the sump pump and anything else needed during that time frame.I could get another battery to supplement this but you are limited to 800 watt solar input and to charge almost 4kwh isn't going to happen on the best day in the winter where I live. That is a huge cautionary tale for anyone looking at this for off grid.

I recently purchased this battery to addon to my EcoFlow Delta Max to double the power available in the event of a power outage. I purchased my Delta Max about a year ago and have been 100% happy with my purchase. I did a lot of research on other brands out there, watched countless hours of online video reviews and looked at all the specs. Everything kept pointing back at the EcoFlow being the best brand product available on the market. It is easy to setup, portable enough to move around, and packs a lot of power in such a small box. I have not needed it yet in an emergency situation but I have run it through testing and I have been more than impressed with the capabilities of this product. Having this product available along with 800 watts of solar panels gives me peace of mind that I will always the have needed power available whenever the grid goes down. My Delta Max is ready to go whenever I need it because it stays charged up and doesn’t require having any fuel on hand so I definitely recommend this product even if you already have a gas powered generator.

This unit is powerful, portable and some what compact. The 2000 watt hour version I bought can handle a lot of power needs to run most home appliances or power tools during a power outage or working in the field where there is no electricity available. It weighs about 48 lbs. compared to my other power station from another company with similar battery capacity and features that weighs about 68 lbs. Charges much quicker and you can adjust the speed of the charge, also. Can be charged with solar up to 800 watts. Also comes with a car charging cable, power cable, solar MC4 type cable, instruction manual and warranty card. This unit can be expanded by adding one or two additional batteries from Ecoflow for 6000 watts of power to keep your critical appliances working ... MoreThis unit is powerful, portable and some what compact. The only thing you need to be aware of, is the power amount you are using and for how long because the higher the power used, the faster you drain the battery. If you buy the solar panels to recharge your unit it will last a lot longer during the day, assuming there is good sun light available. Has an app to control unit, remotely. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.

I spent months reviewing solar generators, back and forth, it almost drove me crazy but I wanted to get it right the first time. So Ecoflow was my choice hands down. The quality, capacities, charge rates, the whole shibang. I am still building my system starting out with 2 Ecoflow Max 2000's and 4 160 solar panels. I eventually want to add a couple of the expandable batteries. I tested a full charge battery on my 21 cubic foot fridge overnite and after about 12 hours the battery still had 47% charge on it and that blew me away! Now why I wish I found these 18 months earlier is because at that time I bought a new dual fuel generator which can power the whole house including central air and now its pretty much obsolete! Of course I can't run the A/C off the solar units but once bought, there is no further cost! I hate to sell the gas generator, I like it just to have it (I'm that way with most things I own) but I've used it only once to drill some holes. But Ecoflow, the best I've ever researched and am 100% pleased with the purchase and highly recommend.

I keep adding components to my solar generator system, all Ecoflow, to complete a truly self sustaining power source. Although I have a nearly new 11 kilowatt dual fuel generator that can power my entire home, the fuel availability and price restricts its use so after months of consideration of all the brands out there I chose Ecoflow. Started with the bundled Ecoflow Max and 4 160 watt panels. Realizing more was needed bought another Max. Then thought well if I had a third unit I could rotate them in the charging process. Then I found out the solar panels I had were grossly underpowered for the charging demands I had. Then the light went off in my head! I found out that with less the 2 gallons of gas in my 11 kilowatt generator I could charge all 3 Ecoflow generators at the same time in less then 2 hours. But I still wasn't satisfied. Forever I wanted a Ecoflow Smart Generator so I picked one up on sale. Was just looking for more options of quick charging with the least amount of fuel other then that big, bulky generator. Then tonight I completed my solar back-up system with an Ecoflow Max extra battery. I have all the power and the means to keep them charged just as I had envisioned! I would like more solar panel capability but the panels I'd need are out of my budget at this time so I just bought a couple more 5 gal gas cans that'll give me 30 gallons on stand-by. Thank you Ecoflow!

I received this unit and decided to test it out on a few items.First, I charged the unit on "slow" setting. It only took an hour and a half to finish charging. It arrived with about 80% charge, so there wasn't much need of a charge. It uses about 375 watts to charge on low.Second, I tested its ability to charge my electric car. It seems to have nearly 1.5 hours of charging it. True, that would barely fill the car battery, however, it would be plenty to get me to a local charging station or somewhere I can plug it into an AC outlet.Third, I tested it powering a portable air cooling unit. The unit kept tripping the breaker on the battery bank. My car uses about 1.5 kW to charge. The AC unit uses about the same. The issue baffles me since it shouldn't be happening.Lastly, I tried to see about the charging power of the solar panel. That was a terrifying 50 watts. If you wanted to charge the unit solely by the panels, it will take over a week to get a full charge. That's even with the back also working on charging. Only use the solar panel in case of emergency. It barely will touch total charge. Even in clear skies with the huge energy-wasting fire ball overhead. I wouldn't depend on the solar panel providing more than enough to charge a cellphone that's been turned off.So, final decision is that it is a good device to have but it weighs about 60+ pounds/28+ kg. Be prepared to do some hauling when you go to move the thing.

This made it an eco-friendly option for us as we were able to reduce our carbon footprint. The unit is also lightweight and portable, making it easy to carry around wherever you go. We were able to take it with us on our camping trip without any issues. Overall, I would highly recommend the DELTA Max 2000 to anyone who needs a reliable source of power for their devices and appliances. It’s efficient, portable, eco-friendly, and has exceeded all my expectations.

With all the geopolitical and “global weather change” related uncertainties, I’ve become more concerned about power brownouts and blackouts in my future. I charged the system (a very easy process) and then did test runs with my chest freezer and a refrigerator. Earlier this year I started preparing my response to this situation by first purchasing an ECOFLOW Delta Max 2000 Power Station along with a DELTA Max Smart Battery 2016Wh extra battery. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before deciding to go with the ECOFLOW products. I charged the system (a very easy process) and then did test runs with my chest freezer and a refrigerator. I was satisfied with the performance of my initial battery purchase, so I decided to add another Smart Battery 2016Wh. With that total capacity (6000Wh) I hope to be able to ride out any short-term power blackouts, keeping my refrigerator and freezer and a few other electronics and small appliances for at least 24 hours. Just in case, I also purchased some ECOFLOW solar panels but haven’t tested them yet. I did my research, made my decision and so far, so good. I’m very happy with my purchases from ECOFLOW. BTW, the batteries are a bit heavy for my old body, so I bought a small 4-wheel furniture moving dolly and that makes it much easier to move these batteries through my house. Most of you younger people aren’t going to need to buy the dolly.

Charge CAUTION and WARNING!
18 June 2022

I initially started to charge the Delta Max via a garage outlet on a 15-amp circuit. Monitoring the voltage at the outlet used, I noticed the Delta Max pulled it down to 100v from the normal 120v, indicating the 15-amp circuit wiring was a very long run and would not be a good idea to leave it charging at full power! This is rated at 1800w (15A) charging power. It came with only a 14/3 cord, which is only supposed to be used for 12A or less. This should be a 12/3 cord, rated at 16A. WARNING! Make sure you charge this unit with a 20-amp circuit that is close to your circuit panel! Using a 15-amp circuit will cause a substantial voltage drop and heat the 15-amp circuit breaker and wiring between and could damage or weaken outlets! Using a 15-amp circuit will cause a substantial voltage drop and heat the 15-amp circuit breaker and wiring between and could damage or weaken outlets! Most major home appliances draw 12-amps or less, so this will definitely stress your 15-amp circuit and could damage old circuit wiring! Using the default 400w low current setting takes longer to fully recharge but is much safer. Using the App to set the high current charge to 1200-1500w is withing the recommended capability of a 15-amp circuit. A Kill-A-Watt Meter will let you know how far the voltage drop at the outlet is and indicate how strong the circuit is for charging the Delta Max.

Good Value For The Price!

Now why I wish I found these 18 months earlier is because at that time I bought a new dual fuel generator which can power the whole house including central air and now its pretty much obsolete! Of course I can't run the A/C off the solar units but once bought, there is no further cost! I hate to sell the gas generator. Will get to full charge in about 3 hours. Can run a refrigerator for up to 36 hours. I ran some lights, wifi and various electronics for 5 hours and drew the battery down to 40%. Solar panels work well. Slower charge and you need sunlight but in sun it charge about 10-15% an hour. It is heavy but easy to carry. Great for power interruptions for shorter periods or for portable power needs.I like it just to have it (I'm that way with most things I own) but I've used it only once to drill some holes. But Ecoflow, the best I've ever researched and am 100% pleased with the purchase and highly recommend.
