I purchased the battery to replace one that had gone bad after 3yrs 7 months. The battery has a 3 year warranty from its manufacture date. Unfortunately the battery i purchased although new was manufactured in 2020 thus only has 2 years left on its warranty. Hopefully, since it is a newer version, it will last longer than the old one.

Just got to mow yard with this battery. It lasted just as long as the battery that came with my mower. Charging it was just as easy, too. I hope to get some years out of this before having to replace again.

I love EGO products but I have one complaint...the battery arrived with no box. When ordering, it was advertised as "new" so I expected a new battery in the box, not just wrapped in bubble paper the the post office uses. That how products get knocked around and damaged. Other than that, I hope my battery is in fact new.

3 times the power reserve sounds great until you realize it means much more weight added to a hand tool. This battery is so heavy it makes the string trimmer, hedge trimmer, and leaf blower I put it on become cumbersome and difficult to use. This negates most of the advantages of having a larger power reserve. Now that I've experienced in his I wish I had just purchased a regular battery that came with the tools.
Battery arrived well packed and on time. It was a new in the box lawn mower battery. I now have 2 batteries that I can switch out for my large lawn.
I was a happy Ryobi user for a few years, then I reconsidered after I saw a EGO battery pulled apart on YouTube; it was then I realized all the positive advantages for the EGO battery with all its vents to keep the Lithium Ion Batteries cool did not exist on the Ryobi 40v. Batteries. Im an Electrical Contractor and I have seen what happens when heat overtakes Lithium Ion products. Second I see the advantage of a 56v battery over the 40v. limitations since a 48v. Inverter System is far superior to the heat produced from a 24v. Inverter to accomplish the same Load needs. Actually Im afraid to use my Ryobi Batteries, so I carry them around to show customers why Im afraid to use them.
The EGO battery functions well and can sustain operation through very thick grass for a moderate period of time. Generally I am cutting grass that is 3"-6" high in front and backyards, respectively, and the battery will complete the front yard on single charge. Sometimes grass height in my backyard can attain a foot and the grass density is thick so the typical situation is 2 charges. I have never experienced issue with physical warping, breaks in outer shell, or extreme overheating. My first battery lasted 4 years before it would no longer accept a recharge in OEM EGO charge. I naturally wish that units were less expensive and lasted maybe 1-2 years longer. Exactly what we need in order to have a spare battery to be able to cut both the front and back yard with our new self propelled mower. We can't tell the difference between the battery that came with the mower and this one. Looks exactly like what we would have paid more for at the store.
Doesn't perform as well as the real EGO battery. I get 75-90 mins mowing out of the EGO, this one only gives me 40-50 mins. Not sure if that is because of inferior design or maybe the one I bought wasn't brand new, although it was advertised as such. (The item arrived without any type of branded packaging.) I would not buy this again unless it was less than half the price of the EGO. At $250 it's not a realistic alternative unless your tasks are small.
Bought this as original Ego 56v 7.5 ah was toast. Was so tired of having to constantly recharge so bought this one and crossed my fingers. Ive cut lawn 4 times with no issues whatsoever. Definitely recommend but will review after the last cut this summer. (front and back yard are bigger than the average yard)
