I already had the 530 cfm model and liked it but wanted another battery so I could weed whack and blow without having to take a break to charge the lone battery. EGO ended up having a sale such that buying this 765 CFM with its included 5AH battery and the free 2.5AH ended up being way cheaper than simply buying the batteries. As a commercial property manager, I bought this for work for the convenience of not having to need a power source, which I don't always have on some properties. When I got it home I checked the EGO specs against a corded blower I have had for years, my corded blower says it's rated to 235 mph. It would barely move rocks in a landscape area I have, when I used the EGO on the same spot, it blew all the rocks out! I already have experience with the EGO brand as I have owned the EGO 56V lawn mower for a couple years now and love it. It was a no brainer to go with the EGO brand again for the blower over other brands.

Note, I am a women with small wrists. My main issue is the handle is placed right above the battery. This places a lot of downward weight on the wrist. After a few minutes my wrists feel the pain. I have to modify the way I hold this by using two hands and holding the legs, which are pushed forward. I tried using the strap, but to keep it at a length that doesnāt hit the ground the unit ends up being close to my body and bends my wrist a lot, exasperating the issue with causing pain to the wrist. I got this unit with an extra free small 2.5 ah battery, which is all I have used with it. I fear the 4.0 battery it was boxed with would make my issue worse. There is a grounding strip built into the handle that will prevent static shocks but that will only work with bare skin contact. When you wear gloves during cold temperatures, that static will drain intermittently and you will feel shocks. There isnāt much you can do about it unless you create some kind of grounding strip bracelet from the machine to maybe your bare skin around your wrist. This static electric discharge isnāt too bad but some people will wonder what is happening and may think they have have a faulty machine.
While helping a friend installing sofit and siding work I used his EGO 765 for cleanup. I was impressed so I looked at these thru Lowes and purchased the blower, battery and charger combo. Here is my experience with this blower.Pluses............. Although a bit pricy, the blower does have better, cleaner blowing power than my Stihl BG86 gas blower. I do like the turbo speed when needed. It moves debris with power.Minuses.............The caveat with all outdoor battery powered equipment is time until drained. I learned soon that the 5Amp Hour battery supplied with the combo kit is decent if you don't use in turbo mode much. If your job requires using the turbo mode, expect 15 minutes of use time to drain. The EGO blower kit with my military veteranās discount and a second 5 AMP Hour battery (After market) I invested about $423. I felt that the additional $23 when all was said and done was a better purchase for the ease of use of a battery-operated powerful blower.One suggestion to the EGO engineersā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ If this blower is used for any length of time as I used it, the blower is rear heavy and would be less stressful on the arm if the handle was more center placed for better balance and less arm strain. This is an awesome blower. It is my fourth blower and this is the most powerful. It even moves more air than my gas blower. But if you are looking for a lightweight rechargeable blower this is not it. The blower itself is lightweight but the battery is heavy. I expected this because I have the new Ego 18" chainsaw that uses the same powerful battery. All that being said, I am a 71 year old woman, probably stronger than most my age, and I love this EGO blower. It comes with a strap but because I kept having to change arms to support the weight of the blower the strap just got in my way. I found that holding the blower two-handed was most efficient, one arm supporting the blower and the hand of the other arm holding the bracket on the bottom. You can roll the blower and aim it with lots of control even at the highest speed, which is what I used. Run time was 40 minutes. I suppose that the marketed time of 90 minutes run time was at low speed. I did not buy this blower to run it at low speed but it is certainly nice to have the option. There is also a āTurboā speed which I didnāt try. It would probably have blown me off of my feet, (and really depleted the battery). You can use the trigger for burst blowing. For continuous blowing you can select low or high speed from a dial. The kit I bought came with two nozzles. The round nozzle moves more air than the flat spreader nozzle. The battery charger works very well. The depleted battery fully charged in a matter of hours, although I didnāt actually time it. It is normal for the battery charger to make noise while it charges. There is a noticeable smell but I did some research and this is normal. I do NOT leave this charger plugged in once charging is complete. The idle battery holds its charge for a long time. You can easily tell how much charge is left in the battery because of the great light indicators.
