I use it all the time. Have it with plain avocado. Also serve it with warm bread and olive oil for dipping. Everyone raves about it. It's the best dukkah I've had, and I've tried a lot!
I regularly buy this product however in my last purchase the product (refill) contained an inordinate amount of sesame seeds disproportionate to all its other ingredients specially with the spices. It is bland and extremely underwhelming which is a surprise. I will try to get another refill soon and I hope it has returned to its usual quality.
It’s tasty & so versatile. I like it simply with olive oil on fresh bread, mix with olive oil on fish, on roast veges
Of course I shouldn't compare a store-bought dukkah with my Egyptian grandmother's home-made dukkah. But there were a few things I think could be improved about this product.Firstly - the taste/smell was very weak. Not enough cumin, coriander?The ratio was totally wrong. I shouldn't be paying for whole sesame seeds mixed with some spices. The sesame seeds should be ground, and they should be roasted/browned.Lacking in peanuts as well.The mixture was quite dry. It should ideally be a bit oily from the nuts.So overall, not bad - but very far from authentic Egyptian Dukkah.
I don't use this for dipping, I coat schnitzels with it. It gives that perfect coating when fried and a beautiful nutty taste.
Very tasty, with balanced flavours. Perfect as a snack with sour-dough bread and oil or as part of a Middle Eastern banquet.
This is my go to dukkah for smashed avo, a delicious salmon crust or even as a lovely garnish on some yoghurt that is going in a Middle Eastern dish. It’s packed with flavour and is delicious!
