I hated our garbage can so much. It was round and just awkwardly always in the way wherever I'd put it. This Eko Stella trash can is great. Its square so it fits easily in any corner with ease. The front stepper is easy, just step on and the top of the trash opens and closes with ease. I also like the my trash bags have a grip, they dont slide dont like my old would. Nice brand, although I wasn't aware of the Eko brand and their products.

I absolutely love the concept, but in practice as a kitchen bin, the opening mechanism is too flimsy.This one lasted longer than our last one which we returned.Very sad to have to give such a negative review, but this needs to be addressed.

We were using plastic trash cans in my kitchen I was constantly wiping and scrubbing them down because of food stains. This trash can is such an improvement! The top opens all the way up all I have to do is step on the lever. And cleaning it is so easy just wipe off with a damp cloth no scrubbing.

This trash can is a really nice stainless steel can. I really liked the size and the shape, but I didn't realize that you have to get their specific sized garbage bags. I went back and looked at the description and didn't see that anywhere. So just know that you need specific garbage bags that might not be available everywhere. Other than that, great looking, functional garbage can!
I am very happy with the EKO Stella step trash can. It is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. The step lever works well at raising the lid. The bag holder is quick and easy to use and does a great job of hiding the plastic bag inserted into it. We are a family of 4 and although we recycle and compost, this can holds about a weeks worth of our garbage. I have always used a dab of baby oil on a paper towel to restore the shine on things like this and it does a great job on this particular can too. Quick and easy maintenance.
I recently received this trash can and I really like it. It's the perfect size (30L) for my apartment, stainless steel, has a foot pedal to open the lid and a plastic bag stabilizer to hold the trash bag in place. I've had it for 4 days and so far, it does a great job eliminating odors. I like the design as well, it's sleek and simple.
Good size and look. Broke within 9 months. Slow closing part broke and now slams shut loudly. Plastic bracket which connects pedal to lid also broke.
Hardly had it a year and the plastic hinge mechanism has snapped. This is a pressure point and should be made in stainless steel!!!! Why plastic?
Love this trashcan! I have 4 kids ages 7 and under. They are so hard on trashcans but this one is different. They love pressing the pedal especially since they are younger and this encourages them to clean up . Best feature? The slow closing lid prevents loud lid noises and pinched fingers, plus still awes younger children. Perfect 13 gallon kitchen size, easy to clean and very sleek looking.
Bin foot pedal broke within 2 weeks of buying - pedal is attached with only the tiniest bit of plastic that cannot be reattached once broken. Very disappointing, especially as we couldn't find receipt to return, so a waste of $85
